Another Board Broken!

Even if Madlyn was extremely big for her age she never let her hight stop her from doing the things she love best. Her mom had been chatting with someone but as usual Madlyn wonder way. Her mom never had to worry about that, Madlyn was to tall to be go unnoticed. She decided to board were there was less people around. It made it easy for Madlyn to shred the walk ways, even if they did stop and stare at the radiant half breed giant. She aim for a steep hill that was calling her name. Tracking her board down the slop she started to shred back and forth exhaling enthusiastically as she landed on each side at ease. She was in a bright mood so she was doing well for a bit. She enjoy the sloop some more and kept at it trying to perform some tricks in mid air.

Today was Adam's day off from the Ministry. He was enjoying a nice walk in the cool summer air and was filling his lungs with the smells of daffidoils. As he walked, he saw random children chasing each other and also different adults like himself talking to one and other. Although he enojyed working at the Ministry, the time of he was recieving was very much needed. He felt obliged to take it seeing as he had never been on vacation since he started working. He thought it was nice of Nicolas to let him take a day off.

As he walked on he noticed a girl. Her features were young, however she resembled that of part-giant. He knew this since his uncle was married to a part giant. What caught him by suprise was that she was skateboarding. It was very often you saw a feminine skater. He watched as she did a few tricks. He was actually very fond of skaters, however could never succeed at skating himself. The balance he had on skateboards was terrible even though they had 4 sturdy wheels.

As the girl nearly skated by him, Adam said, "You're pretty good." She reminded him of when he was a child. Actually all children reminded him of himself or freinds. It seemed people could be so much alike, yet so far apart.

Madlyn stop when she heard someone comment about her tricks. She was very surprise that people had the guts to even talk to her. It made her smile widly, her eleven year old frame nearly matching the man height. She was a young breed and at least for now she look normal in some sense. Her face was still young, the face of a child but with high cheek bones. "Thanks Mr. Ummm" she said a tad shy. She didn't know what to say so continue skating as she had been doing. Madlyn jump onto her board, she was going down fast on a slope. She was directing the board up the curve only something must've trigger what happen next. With a loud thud Madlyn landed flat butt against her board. It broke into halves as she groan from the fall. "Just my luck" she sighed. She stood up brushing her back, the board laid broken into halves. "My dad not gonna repair this one" she frown. She look at the man and brush her hair. "What's your name Mr?" she turn her attention to the man. She was so gonna get grounded for this. Guh!

Adam laughed as she was saddened about the broken board. It was almost as if she was a muggle, however the giant in her told Adam otherwise. After all, he had never ever seen a muggle whom had Giant, Orc, Goblin, or even Veela blood in them, it just wasn't real. "Here, I'll fix it." Adam said still chukling.

"Repario!" Adam chanted with his wand pointed directly at the board. The wood of the board magically began to place itself back into where it was originally before the girl had broke it. It slolwy comebined and was then a new and improved skateboard. "There you are." Adam said.

Stupid Madlyn, she should've remember about magic use now that she was more into the wizaring communities than muggel. "Thanks you save me a yelling from the old man." Madlyn laugh half hearted as she took the board from him. "I'm surprise its not heavy for you, he makes my boards out of willow tree. Dad very good building boards, he's very useful with his hand. May work with the new owner of the wand shop" Madlyn kept explaining about her father Jackson's abilities. She maybe saying a lot more than what she suppose to say to a human. But if the man was kind enough to fix her board, she guess he was okay in her book. "My names Madlyn, What's your name?" she ask the man. Who didn't seem much older than her sister Mandela. Mandela who now was living in NYC but came on the weekend just to visit her parents. "What's your name? I'm new here so I don't no anyone" she said shyly again. Her eyes fallen to stare into Adam, it sad that she able to keep up with the man height. Yet Madlyn would never be ashame of her half-giant self, she just sometimes wished on normality sometimes. It would make her life a whole lot easier, even if her parents accepted unusual genes of their daughter. It was just Mandela, Mandela found Madlyn to be a freak.

Adam laughed as she told about a nagging old man. He used to have one just the same. The truth was, they were just looking out for you. Just ask fathers and mothers too always did. It was their thing. Their mentality. Infact Adam was beginning to recieve the same thing. With the trial of whom gets custody over his children, he has become more fatherly like. The chances of him winning were great. He was up aganst a drunken father and a cousin of his ex wife. His ex wife was mentally ill. However, he could care less for that anymore.

"My name is Adam, Madlyn." Adam relpied to her. "Nice it meet you miss." He said agian.

"Miss? Dude I 'm only 11 years old. Miss is over there well Mrs." Madlyn said looking over the crowded people taking over the crowded walkways. "She's my mom a bit smaller than me" Madlyn flushed a little. She step back onto her board, her body swaying perfectly in and out of people ways. She could still see the man the farther she boarded away. Possobly Madlyn first friend at Hogwarts so she turn and boarded back around towards his direction. "So Adam you know this place more than me right? May I ask what you do for fun here? I mean for kids my age.." she asked him. Madlyn kept boarding around Adam. He was cool looking, but that's because Adam was the first person to talk to Madlyn, so for now he wasn't like her father who constantly gets of Madlyn for every little thing she do.

"Fun?" Adam asked, but retorhical. He knew this place quite well and knew that there was indeed a muggle like skatepark nearby. He believed that the park would be in Madlyn's best intrest to go there. "There is a park about 3 blocks down over there. It's a muggle like skatepark, I'm sure you'll enjoy since I can see you love skateboarding." Adam said.

Sally had been listening to her muggle iPod for the whole day while she jogged around. She had love muggle gadgets and that was one of the reason why she prefer to be at home rather than school. There weren't any internet in school nor muggle electronics. Those things had complete her life but without magic, she would be empty. She had been on diet for the whole month, trying to lose more weigh but in fact, she wasn't fat at all.

After a while, she felt tired and start closing her eyes and sat on the ground. She wiped her sweat and stood up and continued to walk. Not long after that, she started to dance ballet like her routine for several minutes until she saw two people who were talking to each other. She saw a girl who was extremely tall. She was slightly surprise but then she remember that Madame Maxime was a part-giant too and she was extremely tall. Her brown eyes wandered around she didn't know where she was. She walk towards them as asked "Hey do you know where this is?" She showed them a paper with her address on it.

"Dude your weird" Madlyn scratched the side of her face trying to keep up with Adam. Did he not hear her the first time or something. He went on about a skate park, which naturally stroke an interest of Madlyn. "Thanks maybe I will check it out later" its best she found friends her age anyways. Even if she was taller than kids her age, anything was fun than being around someone who seemed a little out of it. Naturally she thank him either way, maybe it was Madlyn that was out of it. She kept boarding attempting an ollie when a girl just about her age came out of nowhere asking for direction. "I'd help you but I'm a newbie myself. Parents from the states but just move down her from England. Sorry" Madlyn said without even looking at the map. She would give the girl wrong direction if she even tried to help her out. Least she was still meeting new places in this little wizaring community.
