A Little Deeper
PERSONALITY
Anita is quite a firecracker personality. Shes loud and proud, most people are amazed she was put into Ravenclaw with her temper and tendency to act before she thinks but deep down she really does belong in the house. Of course most of the time her temper gets in the way of her common sense. Fight first, ask questions later is her motto but shes trying to work on that. But despite this she usually is pretty good about not holding grudges. The only two people she really has lingering hatred for are Jessica Mercer and her absent father, Russel Paramore. The latter being a hatred that is slowly growing in all of her siblings.
HISTORY
Anita was born on December 13th 2011 in her mothers house in the heart of San Juan, Puerto Rico. She was born about a month early and her mother had no way to get to the hospital in time and nobody to contact, so she went through 17 hours of hard labor alone, both mother and child nearly died in the process. But Anita was strong even from birth and lived on though she was tiny for her age most of her life. Her neighbor, who was just coming back from a vacation found both of them thanks to her mothers yelling as she heard the car pull in and they were rushed to the hospital.
Anita had a simple childhood, it was always her mother and her alone, making things work the best they could and Anita was no stranger to hard work. Often helping her mother with the housework, later on doing most of it herself as her mother had to pick up a second job to keep them going when money got tighter but she never complained, she had many friends who were far worse off than her and Anita has learned to be grateful for everything she had, this is the main reason she cant stand her enemy Jessica. Who complains and whines at the smallest things.
But one facet of Anitas life always left her unhappy. She had always wanted to know more about her father, all she had ever known was his name. Did she have any other family? Would he accept her? It were questions like this that kept the young girl up at night until one tragic April night in 2020 when her mother was killed in a mugging as she walked home from her night shift at her job on the shady side of town and Anita never saw San Juan again as she was shipped off to Beautiful Miami, Florida to live with her Aunt.
Not too long after this Anita began to look into magical schools, wanting to get as far away from the US as possible she looked to Hogwarts New Zealand, one of the most important decisions she had ever made in her lifetime, though she did not know it right away. While visiting the nearby village she met a current Ravenclaw over at the school, Thomas Smith. The two quickly became friends and it was through him she managed to have a miracle happen to her, she finally met the other half of her family.
Of course all of this coming to light caused tremendous strain on her father and he soon buckled, Juanita divorced him and he hasnt been seen by any of them since, though Anita was taken in by her after her aunt died of a fatal heart attack a merely two years later and is extremely grateful for it. She has developed an extremely close bond with her whole family and does not care that she doesnt see her father. Hating him with a passion for his weakness.
