The grey clouds had faired no chance in discouraging Damian from drifting the eroded mud track. He nimbly weaved through the bellowing trees sheltering the beauty of the lake. He had visited only a few times during his stay at the school. He couldn't think of a reason why he would miss out on such a treat. A peaceful little stop was always good to take advantage of. The crowded hallways of the newly populated school had provoked a state of anxiety within him. Damian couldn't deal with being crushed into confined spaces. If he wanted to get close and personal with someone he would do it on his terms.

His feet swept the outline of grass surrounding the expansive pool. A thin layer of dew lingered on his shoes delicately. Hid hands swayed neatly at his sides as he balanced upon a tree stump. The breeze fluttered gently over his naked shoulders provoking goosebumps. The moments of silence finally allowed Damian's mind to unjamble. The stuffy air of the classrooms blurred all trails of thought leaving him blank and confused.

Damian took a deep breath through his nose. His eyelids drifted closed creating a state of calm. He mentally counted to three hoping the notion would restore his excitement. The deep breaths continued to sooth the aching along his ribcage. Damian opened her eyes. The lake exposed him to the same beauty he had come to view. The thoughts threatening his interior seemed to become lost as he drew closer to the waters.

Lisa was blank. Just blank. No emotion could be detected on her face as she sat on her jumper near the lake, almost meditating. She didn't want to feel bad oday; she didn't want to cry, or feel hurt, or get angry. She breathed deeply, and let her mind wander, her eyes closed, hearing the noises of nature around her. She almost smiled; the place was very relaxing on a dull, overcast day like today.

Then she detected noise that was very out of sync with the noises around her. Someone was walking nearby, presumingly towards the lake. Her eyes snapped open, searching for the source. They settled on a boy who was standing near the lake. Lisa almost sighed in relief, but did not make a sound; she would let the boy control the encounter.
