Most of this has been created by me; however, there are a few aspects to this that have been inspired by other roleplayers. (the questionnaire inspired by claire and the photo/art album was inspired by both claire and rowan) This in-depth is more so for me to help me with any sort of roleplays so i can go back to this for reference hehe!
BIRTHDAY
Declan was born on the first day of April 2053 in Mullingar, Ireland. Born on the 1st of April makes his star sign an Aries. 1st of April is also April Fools day. He was born into a family of two loving parents and an older brother who is about fourteen years older than him.
NAME MEANING Declan - Anglicized form of Irish Deaglán, Old Irish Declán, which is of unknown meaning. Saint Declan was a 5th-century missionary to the Déisi peoples of Ireland and the founder of the monastery at Ardmore. Feargus - Meaning "strong" or "brave". Burke - Derived from Middle English burgh meaning "fortress, fortification, castle". It was brought to Ireland in the 12th century by the Norman invader William FitzAdelm de Burgo.
HISTORY BEHIND HIS NAME AND WHY
Declan was a rainbow baby, so his parents had no idea what names to pick for him. Declan's name hadn't been picked until almost a week after he was born. The parents had ideas on what to name him, but the ideas never stuck or didn't suit Declan at all, until Declan's paternal uncle, Patrick (aka Uncle Paddy) had suggested the name Declan. Both parents had liked the name and thought it had suited Declan, and it had pretty much stuck after that. His middle name, Feargus, had been an Irish name that his mother had decided on for his middle name as they thought Declan was their strong and brave boy.
BLOOD STATUS Mixed Blood - Declan's father is a mixed blood while his mother is a muggleborn. The Burke family had been a pureblood family many generations ago, but as the generations carried on and progressed, the blood status of the Burke family started to mix with other bloodlines. Both Declan and his cousins on his dad's side, who are also Burkes, are both mixed blood. Declan doesn't have any sort of thoughts on blood status; he just thinks of everyone as people and moves on with his day.

APPEARENCE & HEALTH HAIR - LOOKS, HAIRSTYLE, ETC
Declan has dark brown hair, which he inherited from his mother. Declan, at the moment, likes to keep his hair a little unkempt and likes to cover his forehead, leaving his fringe swept to the side a little, but still keeps it so that it covers his forehead. He's a little self-conscious about the scar that is on his right temple from a prank that had gone wrong. But as he grows older, he'll grow a little more confident about the scar and will style his hair a little more.
EYES
Declan has deep sea blue eyes, which he inherited from his father. The deep sea blue eyes are a trait from the Burke side of the family. Though Declan, his brother, Aidan and his cousin, Molly, all seem to be the only ones in their generation line that have inherited that blue eye trait. The rest of his cousins seem to have brown eyes.
SKIN TONE AND TYPE
Declan has pale and normal skin, but because Declan has inherited pale skin, he gets sunburnt easily. Declan isn't very good at looking after his skin. Whether it be with skincare of washing his face, or putting sunscreen on, he is not the best at looking after that aspect of his body. During the summer time, Declan is pretty much seen with light sunburns around his face and neck, sometimes on his arms.
BODY BUILD
Declan's body is average for his age. He doesn't really put any muscle on his body, more so leaning towards the lanky side of things. Declan isn't really more into sports, more so into skateboarding, so he doesn't have much muscle mass around him. Declan is a little taller than average for his age. He does, in fact, like how tall he is compared to everyone else, though finding clothing due to his height is a little hard.
OTHER FEATURES
Declan has a scar on his right temple due to a prank he pulled that had gone wrong when he was about seven years old. He covers the scar up as much as possible, as he really doesn't like people asking or looking at it. But if it is brought up by a close friend, he doesn't mind talking about it. If someone whom he doesn't really know asks about the scar, he tries to avoid the topic as he is too embarrassed as to why he had gotten the scar in the first place. (more details about the prank gone wrong in the history part of the development)
ALLERGIES & DIET
Declan has a mild allergy to shellfish. He gets mild rashes on his neck if eaten. His parents had found out he had an allergy to shellfish when Declan had visited New Zealand for the first time to visit his cousins when he was about six years old. They had handed him a small shrimp, and noticed a little after he ate the shrimp, his neck had started to have a rash, and his lips were a little swollen. They've avoided giving him shellfish after that, and Declan has learnt to avoid shellfish too over the years.

PERSONALITY
Declan is pretty much a chaotic boy. He is always up for pranks and up for a chaotic time. Though he knows there are times for him to be serious but overall Declan is a fun kind of guy who is always there for his friends and is there for a good time. Declan sometimes doesn't think before he speaks, so the things that come out of his mouth from time to time may rub the wrong way and sometimes put him in an awkward position. Declan is the youngest out of his family, and that includes being the youngest on both sides of his parent's extended families, as this is due to him having a big age gap between him and his older brother, but he doesn't mind it though, he uses being the youngest at his advantage when he can.
Declan received a tarantula he named Wilfried, nicknaming him Little Will and pretty much spends a lot of his time with his tarantula. However, since receiving his tarantula, he hadn't been keeping a good eye on his pet so far, and seems to be a little too careless with his pet, always losing the tarantula almost every day. It's most likely found around the castle somewhere. Declan usually spends most of his free time throughout the day finding his tarantula.

Declan can be seen to be friendly towards people and is pretty keen on making new friends.
Declan is seen to be carefree about most things. He doesn't have a thought in the world if he's being honest. He doesn't really care about what people think about him either, happy to be in his own little world.
Declan finds himself trustworthy. He wants for people like his friends and family to come to him about anything, whether it be about their issues or anything that's bothering them at all.
Declan is pretty much open-minded about most things when it comes to it. But because he can be fiercely loyal to friends and family, sometimes his loyalty overshadows that and he doesn't have the open-mindedness so much. But he is open-minded to learning new things and tries to listen to other perspectives.

Declan can also be seen as fiercely loyal, especially when it comes to close peers of his. He always finds himself sticking up for and to his friends, even if the friend may be in the wrong, he will stick by their side no matter what.
Declan is one of the most undecisive people there is. It will take him a very long time to decide on something, especially when it comes to small things, like finding places to eat or things to do. His most used response for this is "I don't mind!"
Declan can be seen as immature sometimes. This can be due to the pranks he does or maybe because he can't seem to keep an eye on his tarantula.
Declan can be blunt at times, saying things he doesn't mean at times or even says things without even thinking. Declan can be honest and straightforward when he needs to be, even if he does find himself lying sometimes.
EMPATHETIC
Declan shows strong empathy, especially when it comes to his friends and family. He understands a lot of the time, even if he hasn't experienced the situation himself. He does want to be there for his friends and family, and wants to try and make them feel better.

PET PEEVES & BAD HABITS
Declan has a few pet peeves and some bad habits. His pet peeves are slow walkers and people who don't really know how to have fun. Slow walkers bother him so much because he likes to fast walk, getting to places or even using his skateboard to get to places too. Slow walkers prevent him from getting to places. Declan also likes to have fun and pulls jokes as well as pranks. He'll get annoyed if someone ruins the fun for him and will just find them boring. Declan has a bad habit of biting his nails. When he is nervous about something, bored out of his mind or is thinking about something in the distance, he has the tendency to bite his nails.

His tarantula, Wilfred (aka little will)
Declan had gotten his pet tarantula from his uncle Paddy a couple of days before he started his time at Hogwarts. Declan had been ecstatic when he had gotten the pet. He pretty much takes his pet tarantula everywhere he goes. At the moment, he hasn't really gotten the hang of actually keeping an eye on it as he seems to be losing the tarantula quite often.
Insects
Declan likes to look at insects and likes to see what they're up to. He knows information about them, but doesn't necessarily want to be seen as odd, like he pretty much already is, so he hasn't told anyone about this fact about him knowing all things insect-related.
Pranks
Declan absolutely loves to pull pranks on people. He loves to see the reactions on people's faces and loves to see the end result of the prank. He has lost count of how many pranks he has pulled, but they always seem to be funny. He also enjoys it when he's the one being pranked on, laughing along with the prank.
Skateboarding
Declan absolutely enjoys skateboarding. It's one of his all-time favourite hobbies. He's pretty much seen around with his skateboard. Whether it's him just holding it while he's making his way around, or actually on the board doing tricks and whatnot. Though he's not the best at the trick part just yet, he is slowly getting there.
Sour lollies
Declan doesn't like the taste of sour lollies, no matter the type it is. He cannot stand the feeling it gives him. He shivers in disgust when he has one. He tries to avoid them when he can, but if he must, he cannot back down on a challenge.
Mushrooms
Declan has a huge dislike for mushrooms. He doesn't like the taste or the texture of it. He finds them absolutely atrocious.
Horror Movies
Since Declan's mother is a muggleborn, Declan has pretty much grown accustomed to the muggle world. Declan does not like scary movies and won't admit this to anyone. Only his family knows about this, and he'll not be very happy if this secret is outed to anyone. If he is forced to watch a horror or a scary movie of any kind, Declan is usually seen most of the time covering his eyes with a blanket and tries to avoid watching the screen. There may be screams heard from him from time to time, but he'll pretend it's someone else and accuse them of being the scaredy cat and not him.
Waking up early
Declan hates waking up early. He doesn't like the sound of the alarm waking up, nor the sound of chirpy morning people. If Declan does wake up early, he is pretty much grumpy throughout the entire morning, grumbling words throughout the morning.
HOBBIES Declan has a few hobbies of his own. Skateboarding, fruit sticker collecting and sketching/doodling
Skateboarding - Declan is pretty much seen skateboarding around. Whether IRS him holding the skateboard or even riding the skateboard, he loves this hobby. He can do a few tricks, managing to do them well, some of them decently. But there are some things he knows that he needs to get better at. He begged his parents from when he was about seven or eight to get him a skateboard. They eventually got him a skateboard when he was nine on Christmas.
Fruit Sticker Collecting - Declan had started this hobby a little before he started Hogwarts. He had been inspired when he had stumbled upon his older cousin, Conan's, shell collection, and had a bright idea of collecting fruit stickers instead. He pretty much uses his time in the great hall to get as many fruit stickers as he can, even asking his housemates or roommates nearby for fruit stickers for his book, even if he receives weird looks about them.
Sketching/Doodling - Declan keeps this hobby on the downlow. He hasn't really told anyone about this hobby, and he kinda hopes to keep this hobby under wraps. This is because he thinks he's not the best at sketching or doodling, but he's actually decent at it. Though there are some improvements needed.
STYLE
Declan's style is pretty casual. His clothing is mostly hand-me-downs from his older brother or cousins, so some clothes may look baggier on him, due to sizing from the previous owners. But he also owns clothes that are new and aren't hand-me-downs, and he much prefers those. Declan is usually seen wearing baggy t-shirts with a checkered buttoned shirt over the top of it, with hand-me-down Converse.
