Aunt
leda layton - leda was a former slytherin at hogwarts, and younger sister to ten's mum olive. olive brought leda up from the age of twelve when their own parents were busy working and so leda and olive were close up until the last few years of olive's life. a large portion of what ten knows about her mum is through leda, and even though her aunt can sometimes have a strange disposition, ten doesn't see this as obviously as others might as she's been surrounded by it most of her life.
- mervyn strangewayes - leda's best friend and husband, former gryffindor student mervyn has also been in ten's life for as long as she can remember. her earliest memory is watching wendall being scolded by mervyn for letting her watch horror films, although ten doesn't think this has effected her! she likes mervyn and see's him as another father figure, even if they don't have much in common. this comes in particularly handy given that he is the older brother and guardian to eluned, which means it's good to have him on their good side for when they need to convince mervyn and leda to allow them to do something.
- eluned strangewayes - mervyn's little sister eluned was sorted into gryffindor at the same time as ten, although the pair have known one another since they were six. as mervyn's sister, this makes eluned ten's aunt, however as mervyn and leda's adoptive daughter this makes eluned ten's cousin. either way ten considers eluned to be her sister and bestest friend, and she would trust her with anything.
- olive, elsie and nesta layton-strangewayes - leda and mervyn decided to have children together, however given the nature of their relationship they decided to take the medical route and thus, triplets were born. each daughter is named after a woman in their lives that has now passed away as a way to honour them.
Cousin
wendall layton - a former hufflepuff who was known for his clumsiness and ability to get himself into a sticky situation, ten became close to her cousin when wendall went to live with olive just after starting at hogwarts. olive's mother and wendall's mother were sisters, but as wendall's mother was a muggle it made sense that wendall moved to a magical household. ten considers wendall to be like an older brother to her, even though she thinks he can be a bit of an dipstick at times. her love of films and acting comes from making home movies with wendall and their family.
- mary-lou layton - also a former hufflepuff who ten once thought as one of the sweetest girls she'd ever come across. ten thinks mary-lou is kind and considerate and has nice dresses, even if they're not things ten would wear herself. ten attended wendall and mary-lou's wedding that took place a few hours after leda and mervyn's wedding, and sometimes likes to visit their house because it's large and has a lot of places to hide.
- montana, madeira and marvin layton - ten doesn't really know her newest cousins too well because currently they're a lot younger than she is and she doesn't know what to do about that. she is keen to babysit though and give wendall a taste of his own medicine however, by showing the children various films that likely have curse words in them.
Cousin
monty pendleton - olive was very close with monty and would often turn to him for guidance when she was a professor at hogwarts. after discovering through their linage that they were actually distant family members, this only grew their friendship. the former ravenclaw has always been in ten's life in a position of guidance, and even though ten hasn't always been open to what he has to say she still appreciates that he's there if she ever did need him. ten feels like he is often the angel on her families shoulders, keeping them balanced before their ideas get too far ahead of them. monty is also ten's godfather, and was the first person to meet ten outside the immediate family when she was born.
- saveli + reuben pendleton - ten never knew monty's daughter saveli nor reuben as they were not often with monty whenever ten saw him. she's heard a little about them though and thinks she would have gotten on well with both.
- ainmere pendleton - ten has often been compared to ainmere in terms of how she looks, although she's never actually met her. she knows very little about monty's side of the family.
- rion pendleton - similarly ten knows very little about rion, however she's seen the ravenclaw around the castle on occasion. she would like to know her more before they've graduated.
Godfather
jon phillips - a former beauxbatons student, jon was a professor at the same time as olive and monty and the trio were very close. olive often had platonic dates with jon, and was nicknamed the "popcorn mate" because they would hang out at his house drinking wine, eating popcorn, and watching films. jon was olive's best friend and ten shares a birthday with him. jon is also one of ten's godfathers, although she hasn't seen him since olive passed away.
Estranged
ariana layton - olive and leda's mother ariana layton is a muggle who worked in the real estate industry. when olive died, ariana did everything she could to get olive's assets that had actually been assigned to leda, ten and felix upon her death. she also tried to take ten away from leda during the holidays on multiple occasions, but leda and mervyn stood in to stop it from happening. ten is now estranged from her grandmother and refuses to acknowledge her for the way she's treated her family.
