Among the Flowers

Katheryn Kingsley was down the streets of Brightstone with the sun shining in her blue eyes. She was dressed in a cream dress with sandles. In her arms, she carried a picnic basket and a blanket. The picnic basket had been packed by the house elves at her special request. The blanket had come out of her trunk in the Hufflepuff girls dorm. Kat wanted to surprise her boyfriend with a date. They had officially been together for a month now and it had been one of the best months of her life. Everything with Jacob was effortless and perfect. As if the pair was meant to be together.

Kat found the spot that she had told Jake to meet her at. It was in a secluded area of Brightstone, on a grassy hill. Katheryn spread out the blanket, before setting up everything that was inside the basket. It was a ton of food. The house elves had outdone themselves. She pulled out a vase that was empty of flowers. Kat sat down, taking out her wand. She began to conjure up flowers. Her concentration was solely on that, trying to create the most beautiful flowers one had ever seen.

Jake stretched his arms from one branch to the next. He continued this action till he reach the private setting of where Kat wanted to meet him. It was sort of insane appearing like this, but Jake was never one for a formal welcoming. When he saw what his girlfriend was up too, he noticed the scenery of a picnic taking place right before his eyes. He watched as he lean into the barks of the branch, he than realize what Kat was doing with the use of her wand. It brought amazement as the flowers naturally bloom out of the mist of the earth's ground. He watched for a while till he couldn't contain himself, he jump down landing on the sole of his shoes.

"Hello babe..." he went over to her and flung her around. She was petite and tiny that he could easily perfect her movements close to him. He held her in close and dazzle her with a filling kiss. He knew it had been a surprise but what he felt he couldn't contain himself any longer to watch his girlfriend labor over him. "Has it been days since I last kiss your adoring lips..." he step back to her breath. It had been one of those moment when you felt your hormones go out of control. He was holding by thread trying to contain himself, he was falling for Kat and it had only been a month.

Katheryn gasped as Jake suddenly flipped her into his arms. She had not heard him approach since she had been so focused on her magic. His lips met hers and all else was forgotten. In that moment, there was only Jake and Kat, together. Her breath quickened as her pulse raced. Only Jacob seemed to have the effect on her like she had just finished running a race. Kat laughed as he sat her down. She was tiny and easy for him to toss around with his muscular arms. Kat shook her head at him, amusement sparkling in her blue irises. "You always do know how to surprise me..." she told him, not for the first time. She hugged him, drawing him closer to her. "I believe you kissed me yesterday, by the lake." Kat reminded him. The two had been fooling around but nothing too serious. Katheryn wasn't ready for that kind of commitment to Jake, even if she did love him. She looked up at him, feeling her heart speed once more. "So what do you think?" she asked him curiously.

"Well I know I sort of ruin your surprise but it was hard to watch you from up there" he laughed a little holding onto her. "I thinks its brilliant, you know the way to my heart is always my stomach" he joked a little more. Truthfully it was the first time a girl went out their way to set something up like this just for Jake. He felt touch but didn't want to admit that faithfully. He was still feeling a bit estrange after his last relationship. He had mess with someone heart and he didn't want this to happen again. Kat just meant that much and more. She was growing on him alowly he had to admit for sure, maybe he will tell her sooner or later. "So that kissed by the lake...was it something like this.." he took her again into a kiss while he gudie towards the picinic setting, it really was amazing. Any away from the world las if nothing else existed but them two. Sort of like a novel or a love story, Jake wasn't into that sort of reading but it felt that way in that current moment.

Katheryn grinned up at her boyfriend as he said that he liked her picnic. That pleased her greatly since she had spent quite a bit of her free time preparing it. Kat wrapped her arms around Jacob's waist. She looked up at him as he leaned down to kiss her. Her heart thudded so loudly in her chest that she was certain he could hear it. Her body pressed up against his. As they broke apart, Kat laughed. "Yeah, I believe it was something like that." she said, pretending to be thoughtful. "Or maybe it was more like this.." she said as she leaned up to kiss him passionately.

Jake received that kissed with just as much affection as the last time. He felt his his eyes grow deep and his face lit up by the felt of her soft pedal lips against his. "Man a guy can get used to this..." he teased her letting out a light chuckle as he held her hand. "But I don't wanna let your picnic set up go to waste..." he brushed her red tresses out of her face. He got a good view of her perfect oceanic eyes. They reminded him of that day in the beach when he had kissed her for the first time or that time when he wanted to kiss her but never did so...He guide her towards the setting of the picnic, where the flowers greeted them as they did. He still held her hand when she join him, they felt soft compare to his big long hands. They felt right within his own, sort of sickning that he like how she felt against him. Possibly more than any other girl he's been with.

Kat laughed at Jake's joke. She shook her head. "No I guess it shouldn't go to waste, though I might like kissing you better than the picnic." she teased lightly. She gave him a quick wink before following him to the blanket she had spread across the ground. Kat's hand fit nicely inside Jacob's. It was comforting and warm. They fit together as if his hand was a glove over hers. She sat on the ground beside him. "What would you like?" she asked, prepared to get it as soon as he spoke. For herself, she picked up a ham and cheese sandwich along with some fresh strawberries, bananas, and grapes, placing it all on a clear plastic plate. "How has your day been?" Katheryn asked in her musical voice.

Jake chuckle at Kathryn compliment, he still wasn't get used to this treatment. In a blind way he hadn't notice the way girls treated him before, some had been the same way. Just not in this way, Jake smile his orbs settle at bay. "Well Its been okay, just dealing with the assignments. Thanks to you,ve I improved a lot " he gather up a machintosh apple. Jake took out a pocket knife and cut the apple in halves. He shared some with Kat and stared to bite into his own. Jake savor the taste of the apple, he's been eating healthy a lot more healthy at Hogwarts. "Do you know Zazuka? Well she's the one that save my sister a year ago. She's telling me stuff about my brother I don't want to hear. Something about experimental potion ingredients" Jake shook his head. "Other than that been busy with muggel sports club, couldn't sign up for qudditch far to late for that" Jake ate another slice of apple. "What about you sweets? How've you been?" he asked with a up right grin. He didn't want to sound to down.

Katheryn laughed. "How is it thanks to me that you're doing better? I'm not doing your work for you." she said, grinning back at him. She watched as he picked up an apple, before turning her attention to the carrots. Kat ate one as she listened to Jake talk about Zazuka. Katheryn had indeed met the head girl several times though they weren't close. Kat frowned as Jacob told her what the girl had said. "Well she is a seer, so she tends to be right. But what's this about experimental drugs?" she asked slightly confused. The red head thought about her week for a moment before replying. Jake's smile had her head reeling. It was strange how that feeling never seemed to go away. "Well I guess its been pretty good. I have gotten to see you several times this week." she said with a flirtatious smile to Jake. "Oh and I made the Quidditch team as a first string chaser but thats not really a surprise." she admitted.

Jake shrugged. "Something about eclipse pedals" he said in between bites. "She mention but I dunno about them" Jake looked away towards the trees. "I don't have nothing to worry about my brother. Though he just recently left his girlfriend after she lied about being pregnant" Jake chuckle. He knew that was going to happen since Jon had wanted to break up with his girlfriend. She brewed up a lie being pregnant and now they were history. "Congrats on making the team" he finished the last of his apples. He brush the topic away, Jake rather not talk about his older brother. "I was to late for Slytherin trys-out-" its sucks but he couldn't do anything about it now. "So I just join the muggels sports clubs" Jake smile. He was still active and at least playing some form of sports.

Kat frowned at Jake. She wasn't sure what eclipse petals were but Jacob didn't look like wanted to discuss that. A cool wind swept through their picnic, toussling her bright red curls. She shivered slightly. "Why would she pretend to be pregnant?" she asked, slightly confused. Katheryn didn't think that was something to take lightly. "Thanks. I was pleased." Kat answered with a grin as he congratulated her. She laughed as he talked about joining the muggle sports club. "Really? I'm glad its still going." she said, pleased. "Kiera created it and ran it until she graduated." Kat had been a part of that club most years past though it wasn't her favorite thing in the world. She had only been part of it for Kiera.

"Don't know I think it has something to do with Zazuka. Probably wanting to keep Jon around. I can see someone doing that to him since he's very humble when it comes to girls" Jake laughed, just as he did he felt the wind press forward. He saw Kat shudder, so he did the 'boyfriend thing to do'. He slipped closer to Kat and pulled his arms around her shoulder. "Better? Still the beginning of spring so its bond to blow a few winds or two" he kissed her forehead as she rested onto his shoulders. This boyfriend act was getting comfortable for Jake, too comfortable that he was close to telling Kat that he may love her. "Your serious? Your sister? She looks so tiny compare to most girls her age. Well that's reasonable since my sister is small waisted even after having my niece" he smiled.

Katheryn thought about his words. She wondered how Zazuka knew Jonathon. The way Jake talked it made her think that Zazuka had some sort of fling with him. She couldn't help but wonder if that was before or after that Brian fellow. She chose not to comment on it. If Jake thought it was important that she know then he would tell her. Kat grinned brightly as Jake put his arm around her. She snuggled into it, breathing in his sent. He always smelt sooo good though she couldn't ever pinpoint what it was. "Much better." she said leaning her face up to kiss him back. Her pink lips brushed against his jawline, feeling her heart swell with happiness. Kat had never felt like this before. She loved him with every fiber of her being. Katheryn laughed and nodded her head as he talked about Kiera. "Yeah she is tiny but don't tell her that. She thinks that her size has nothing to do with it." she said rolling her eyes. "Besides she has always been so athletic." she said grinning up at Jake.

"No I promise I won't tell her" he chuckle, his face lit up when she kissed him. It made his heart speed irregular, to fast to say the least. "Speaking of Kirea does she know I'm dating you? Isn't that what girls talk about with their sisters?" he joke poking his tongue. "I'm playing, I just like knowing that I go out with you" it sounded corny, a bit bragging, but he like telling everyone he goes out with the professor's daughter. Luckily he wouldn't have to be acknowledge in her classroom this year, still he wouldn't mind meeting her one day. Just not now, it was to soon for that. Jake remembered meeting Irene mom, and how unexpected that was. He had nearly shouted at the woman at the meeting, he didn't want another repeat. "So what's up for this Halloween feast? What's the plan?" he asked her smiling widely.

Katheryn laughed. "Okay but its your funeral." she teased him, grinning from ear to ear. "Oh yeah Kiera knows." she confirmed. "I actually saw her on the way here. She was meeting Cyndi." Kat said, meaning Professor Weasley. Kiera was starting to look pregnant too, she had noticed. She laughed, her blue eyes crinkling with amusement. It made her heart swell to hear that he liked telling people they were together. She felt much the same way. Kat wrapped her arms around Jake. "I like that too." she admitted. "I like being with you. It makes me feel sad to be away from you." she said honestly. A blush creapt to her cheeks as she looked down at the ground. She was nervous about how Jake would react to this but hoped it wouldn't make him uncomfortable.

"Well you shouldn't be sad" he smiled and reach for a flower in front of them. He took his wand out and used 'Geminio', too duplicate the flowers in front of them. "Here, one to remember this day by..." he laughed a little, he was becoming more into this romance. But he was loving every bit of it, even if she may or may not felt the same way, still he wanted to show how much he felt about. "Here another for when your feel sad or blue..." he gave another flower, they were all lilies, bloosm of violet sprouted all around the leaves. "And another, for will you be my date not only for Halloween feast but for the Yule ball" he gave her another for both, he had one more and it meant something more. "This last one means a lot but I'm not going to tell you what it means" he gave it to her and put his wand away. "In due time you will figure it out" his smile widen across his face, he meant every word of it, and hope she will figure it out one day.

Katheryn looked back at Jacob curiously as he picked up a flower from the ground. She watched him as he multiplied it and handed each one in turn to her. Kat's heart was fluttering in her chest as he spoke. His voice sounded perfect to her as she accepted the flowers from him. She could no longer deny it. Katheryn was head over heels in love with Jacob Hollaworth. Her blue eyes stared back at him with an unfathomable expression. A soft smile graced her red lips. "I would love to be your date for both the dances." she said, her voice sounding like crystal. Kat pursed her lips as she accepted the final flower. A pucker formed between her eyebrows as she was deep in thought. What on earth did he mean by that? Why couldn't he just tell her what he was saying instead of sending a cryptic message. "What do you mean? Please tell me what its for..." she begged. Her ocean eyes were filled with pleading as she stared up at her boyfriend.

"For what's it worth you'll figure it out soon I hope. Well I rather you don't, but that's just me" Jake poke the tip of her nose. He would've like more than anything, than tell what Kat may already know, he figure it was to soon. They,ve know each other for quite sometimes but still, its not long enough to express these feelings. That was someone mistake the first time, Jake held her hand. "If its anything, you don't have to worry about it I promise" he grin cheeky, a wide grin spread perfectly against his umbre complexion. "That's okay with you? Right?" he questions, brushing her small pout of hers, with the tip of his finger.

Katheryn grew even more confused as Jake talked in circles. Her mouth slipped into a pout. The redhead did not like feeling confused or dumb but that was how she felt at the moment. Jacob wasn't making any sense to her. What did he mean she would figure it out? She shook her head. "You know that I have no clue what you are talking about right?" she stated. She stared up at him, her honest blue eyes clearly frustrated. Knowing Jake, he was going to make her wait no matter what she said. Kat sighed. She only hoped it wasn't something bad. She didn't want to lose Jacob.

"Which is good for me right?" he laughed pecking her nose. "Its nothing you need to worry about I swear" he said rubbing her arm, where she was position against his right shoulder. "Maybe you will find out soon, who knows" he wink laughing a little more. He sounded young, immature right now but he made into a game. Just don't guess, he thought, maybe she will say it first one day. "Let's just talk about something else?How about qudditch? Since I may very well soon be owner of the Alpha Aniwaya" he boosted proudly about his future plan. They were already name and plan, the team were register, they just needed the owner to finish his last year at school. Hogwarts will be done soon and he had loads to look forward too.

Katheryn just rolled her blue eyes and gave in. She had known that she couldn't get Jake to tell her something that he didn't want to, no matter how hard she tried. She smirked at him. "I suppose it is good news for you if you aren't wanted me to know what you are talking about." she said, not angry with him. Just looking up into his eyes she realized she would never be able to stay made at him. Kat snuggled closer as he rubbed her arm. She heard his last bit of news and looked up at him with surprise and excitement all over her face. "Really Jake?" she asked. "That's awesome!" she said happy for her boyfriend. "When did you find that out? Would you still be playing?" she asked curiously.

"Thanks, its been in the works since forever" he remember clearly his father words. "My dads retiring and becoming the coach, but he's not like owner. Well its a three way ties." he laughed, he hated rambling but it made sense. "My father owner and sponsors, my brother Jon owns it along with being the beater. Which leads me with the rest, my line up is most of my friends and Jared. He's the one you saw in Hawaii with that girl. I wonder what happen to them?" he looked over Kat. "I mean I saw her in school and she didn't even acknowledge me, you think they're still talking?" he asked Kat.
