Amelia Katherine Johnson (Amy)
Amelia = Work, effort, strain. When her parents originally gave her this name, they wanted her to DO work, make an effort and strain to learn. Becoming the opposite, she IS work, effort and strain to them and has become quite uncontrollable.
Katherine = Pure. This is a bit of a joke really because she is flirtatious and well, i think you know where this is going
Johnson = Family surname, Amy hates it because it is plain and common. She likes to stand out and make a statement, not fit in with the crowd.

Basic Appearance:
Hair: Amy's hair is dark, long and slightly curly. It is always has a soft shine to it, fully increased by her part-veela charm. She normally has it down, to flow around her shoulders, but sometimes it is up for sports or other occasions, although she does prefer it down. When up however, it is never just in a ponytail, it is tied up in styles such as this.
Eyes: Her eyes are a rich, dark brown chocolately colour that seem to have no end. They are rich and full, and show her emotions when she is happy, the sparkle, but when she is feeling annoyed or angry, they can cloud over. Her eyes are said to be one of her prettiest features, and being enhanced by her half-veela part, they seem to intrigue people even more.
Height: Amy is a fairly medium height, but more on the small side that anything else. Her build is also small and petit but with a strong pose about her. She might look like she could be blown away by the smallest gust of wind, but her personality begs to differ otherwise.
Personality:
She is quite shallow and vain, liking the look of herself a little too much.
Clever, she has the ability to work well, just can never be bothered. Having recently become a head-girl though, and also a seventh year taking her NEWTs, she has had to work a lot harder, and the strain of not having worked so hard earlier is catching up with her - a mistake she will have to live with.
Shallow, will easily like someone when they tell her that she is pretty. Doesn't think that personality matters too much, is more pleased with the outward appearance. This has slightly improved though, the older she gets, and the young veela has developed a less shallow opinion of herself, even though every reflection still seems like the perfect opportunity to check her final look - mostly causing her to be late to important meetings or lessons.
Independent, she has run loose from her parents and hardly ever goes home to France when away from school. She has always been a little separate from her year group, and tends to hang around older students. She appreciates all her family did for her, the older she gets, but her decision to leave has never been viewed as a mistake.

Mum: Katherine, she is very pretty as is Amelia. She loves her daughter very much and is worried for her because she has drifted away from them.
Dad: James, he was pretty close to Amy until she left. He still loves her but now has accepted that she has gone, unlike his wife.
Amy hardly ever sees her parents because they live in the French mountains and she never really goes home. She either stays at school or makes her own way around the country. It is almost as if she has forgotten them. Both her parents are magical.
Siblings: Amy has an older brother, Matthew, who goes to Durmstrang. They are quite different characters but he is protective of her. He is the one in the family that sees her the most.
Pets:
No pets. She doesn't want one and thinks that they are a waste of space and money. She was never the 'caring' type for animals. If given one though, she would appreciate it but not love it in the same way most people would.
