Born on the coast of Ireland, Amethyst is the middle child of Emily and Jayce Michaels. She was tutored in her family's estate for her childhood. She wrote many short stories, most of which are stored in her Great-Uncles' shelves. She found early on that she had two loves in her life, the sea and stories.
Amaya's time at school was mostly uneventful as she focused on her writing, though she had a bit of a tumultuous time with her love life. Her first boyfriend, Kace Corelli, was a year younger and had a profound impact on her life. Drawn to his hip-hop New Yorker energy, Amaya found herself smitten. She took up dance, wanting to know what it was that drove him, and in doing so she found a third passion.
