It was a late night and Alicia was troubled. There was no real reason for her to be troubled, but her mind was busy nonetheless. She had wandered nearly all the hallways, speaking with a few of the ancient portraits as she went. She began to wonder if perhaps she had a nice warm cup of cocoa if she would be more at ease. She realized this as she reached the top of the Astronomy tower.
In the hopes of finally resting, Alicia began down the many flights of stairs from the tower and took a detour down the Sixth Floor Corridor. It was a dark night, so little moonlight shone through the arched windows. Her feet padded softly through her thick woolly socks. It wasn't until she about halfway down the hallway when she felt a soft draft of air. She paused and frowned with confusion. Putting her hand to the ground she tried to find the source of the draft. The old castle had only just been purchased and she was already halfway through the renovations to turn it into a school; a draft just wouldn't do once there were students filling these hallways.
Still frowning, Alicia began pacing the hallway, thinking repeatedly that she wished for both a solution to the current problem and a steamy mug of hot cocoa. After her third pace, she heard a noise as if something were releasing a sigh. She turned, startled to her right and saw the vague outline of a door appear in front of her. Puzzled and slightly alarmed, Alicia pushed on the door, her wand in hand. The door opened to a room that was dimly lit and had a single table in the center. On the table was a piece of paper and a cup with steam swirling from it.
Alicia entered the room cautiously and approached the table. She could already smell what was in the cup was cocoa. As she drew near enough to read the paper all it said was, "This is the Room of Requirement". She picked up the paper and turned it over. There was nothing else written on it. With a slight shrug, she picked up the cup and cast revelio on it to make sure that there was no poison. When she detected nothing but cocoa and milk she smiled and took a sip. It was perfect. Still holding the cup, Alicia walked back out of the room and smiled slightly to herself as she watched the doorway suddenly fade back into the wall. She walked forward and ran her hand along the smooth stone surface and felt no trace of where the door had been. The only thing she felt in the hallway was the draft that was coming from the Room of Requirements.
