Ellie tip-toed quietly around the castle, not quite sure were she was headed. It was after curfew on the night of the Halloween feast, and she couldn't sleep. The Castle was silent, the feast long over, and Ellie was careful not to break the silence. She soon found herself at the entrance to the Dungeons, and decided this was a good place to go when trying to avoid Professors, probably only the Potions Professor would be likely to go down there at this hour.
Tucking one of her long, messy brown curls behind her ear, Ellie walked to the far end of the Dungeons, until she could go no further, and slid down the wall there. Her legs sprawled out infront of her.
She hadn't attended the Halloween feast, at the last moment she had decided against it. The last moment meaning she was all ready to go, in her little Tinkerbell costume. She hadn't felt like attending, she hadn't been in her usual bubbly mood for a few days, and she had ripped off her fairy wings and green dress, kicked off her little green pom-pom'd shoes and flung on a pair of baggy grey joggy bottoms and a white tank top. She still had all the make-up from her costume on, and it would probably be the only time anyone would ever see her in make-up. She never wore the stuff, only mascara, now and then, when she felt her eyeslashes needed a little lift. She looked prettier than usual, the light foundation brightening her complexion slightly, the pink blusher spread evenly along her cheekbones, mascara and eyeliner bringing her sparkly brown eyes out. As she sat there in the dark, she brought her legs up under her chin. She wasn't wearing any shoes and she could feel the cold hard dungeon floor through her white cotton trainer socks. She had no idea what was wrong with her and why she was feeling rather down, but for the moment she didn't care, she quite enjoyed sitting there in the dark, silent, her mind completely empty.
