Aiden Mauven, the name was one that took some getting used too but he had embraced it from the moment it had all become legal, to be finally rid of everything that linked him to the man that was his father Aiden felt great. He had hated that man for as long as he could remember and while he still had the man’s blood running through his veins he figured that he could live with the things that were everyday, like his name, to be changed so he never had to think of the man again. While it wasn’t a particularly nice thing to be thankful for someone’s death, especially not your own father, Aiden couldn’t muster up any sympathy whatsoever. The only thing he regretted about the passing away of his father was the fact that he had to lose Giselle in the process of it too. He felt so sorry for the young girl who had to be shipped off to an orphanage and not too long after, got adopted – Aiden was just happy that the family seemed nice enough to look after Giselle. Although now that school had started up again he got to see Giselle pretty much every day; only aided with the fact that she was sorted into Gryffindor along with him. It may have been all well and good that he was reconnected with one girl that meant the world to him through school starting but there was still one girl who a big part in his life that he needed to see again. He would have figured that being back at school it would have been easy to find Miriah but he was finding it hard to catch her on her own and talk to her, hoping that she had calmed down some since their last meeting. He couldn’t stop thinking about Miriah most if not all of the holidays, ever since they spent the night together and now she was pregnant with his child. He still couldn’t believe that he was going to be a dad in a number of months but he had thought about it and no matter what Miriah said he was going to be there for his child. He had even started to take steps to being a good father by actually attending classes, he promised himself that he would go to classes this semester and do well so that he would get good grades in his NEWTs so in turn he could get a good job and be able to fend for his child, he all had it in his head, now he just had to put it into action.

Coming out of Defence Against the Dark Arts class, something he knew would take some getting used too as he was used to just Dark Arts, he went to make his way for lunch. He had been hoping to catch Miriah in a few of the classes that they shared but it was proving to be harder than he had imagined because for a pregnant girl she could still move quickly, not quite like Abigail Lurken who also turned out to be pregnant – he thought it rather odd that two girls in the same year were pregnant but he didn’t care about anyone else other than Miriah. Making his way down the corridor he happened to hear a voice that made his stop in his tracks. Dodging into one of the hidden alcoves he peaked around the corner to see Miriah talking to someone, he couldn’t tell who. He couldn’t hear what they were talking about either but the more he looked on at the pair the more he realised who the other boy was; Theodore Snow. What was she doing talking to him?! Aiden still really like Theodore and he knew the feeling was mutual but that small point could wait, for now he wanted to know what they were talking about.

Theodore was still in shock and belief that his Seventh and Final year of Hogwarts had finally come around. And on top of he it was awarded with the Honor of being Head Boy. Never in his his youth would he have ever expected for him to become Head Boy or even Prefect. It had taken him by so much surprise to see how much he had grown since the day he was first sorted into Slytherin and starting out as a typical first year. It seemed that a lot of his family members were really proud as well, even Alyssa despite the fact that he was pretty sure she wanted to hit him for getting a title that she had probably be hoping for since her first or second year. He actually predicted that his sister would be up here with that position instead of him being the one to get all the Honor and glory. This year had started a little rough because he came to school sick and everything but it immediately picked up to the point where he always seemed busy with something. Whether it be Quidditch, Classes, Studying for the NEWT's, or even just trying to spend some time to see Aleyha or his friends he seemed always busy. He barely even had time to take a nap here and there like he always did. Which in the end made him very tired most of the time, he had never been involved in so much. Being Head Boy was no walk in the park. However he did like the position of power and he also liked that for once people seemed to respect him to the point where they were almost tolerable, though all the attention was almost enough to bother him as well. He wasn't exactly sure if he liked having the entire student body using him as a role model. He was so far from perfect and the fact that he was a Slytherin probably didn't help all that much either. That house was seriously dogged on and so intended to change what people thought about it. Right now he was just getting started, one the year got started he and Patricia would probably get going with their duties. They both had Quidditch to worry about as well so things were quite hectic. Little did Theodore know he was about to be in for another surprise.

Class had been just let out and he was currently engaged in a conversation with Miriah Johnson. Usually they never spoke much but there was a lot going on this year that seemed to force them to have an extra conversation or two. Like a few days ago he asked if she and any ideas what girls might like for their birthday, he wanted to get Aleyha another gift but wasn't sure what and she had given him a few ideas. Then there was also this incident where apparently she thought she was pregnant. Turns out that she wasn't and it was just a false alarm, he didn't know any of the other information but he did wonder what that was all about. She seemed really relieved though. And now they were currently talking about their Arithmancy assignment and about the NEWT's. She seemed really worried about it and keeping up and as the Head Boy apparently she seemed to think that he could give her some encouragement about it. 'I honestly don't think I'm certified to handle all these people's problems like this.' He thought as Miriah thanked him for his help. Though the two of them had speaking so quietly it was probably a little difficult to hear exactly what they were talking about. "Just, relax and don't worry about any of it. You'll get the hang of it all, make sure to take care of yourself though. See ya around sometime I guess." Theodore finished off as she excused herself to go get some lunch. He was going to lurk around until he caught up with Aleyha or Kaleb he guessed, he had nothing else better to do. However the moment he passed by the alcove, he never would have guess who was listening into his conversation with his fellow classmate.

Aiden strained his ears to try and hear what his two fellow seventh years were talking about. He really didn’t care about anything Theodore had to say it was more so what Miriah was saying that had him eager to overhear the conversation. It still bugged him that Miriah had chosen Theodore to talk too, sure he didn’t know what the topic of conversation was but unless it was how to be a complete douche bag then she could have went to anyone else as that was all Theodore was pretty much good at. His mind began to go into overdrive as he wondered if Miriah had told anyone that she was pregnant and, more importantly, that it was his kid. If anyone knew the two at all they would know that they weren’t exactly best buds, even what they had ‘the pact’ they weren’t exactly close - just nicer to each other. So if anyone were to find out that she was pregnant with his child then they would be highly confused for it wasn’t exactly something that enemies did, especially at their age. He still couldn’t believe that he was going to be a father at seventeen; or eighteen rather when the baby was born. Aiden had made a promise to himself that he was at least going to try and be a good father. He never had a good role model when he was growing up and he didn’t want any child of his to grow up with a father that didn’t give a damn about them. If one thing, Gaspard wasn’t an absentee father for the majority of the time and Aiden was damn sure not going to be the one thing his father was. Miriah may not want to see or speak to him ever again but she couldn’t keep him away from his child and if she did he would fight for the right to see his child and be in its life because he was an adult and this is what responsible adults did.

Resting his head against the wall for a few moments until Miriah and Theodore were done talking he let all his thoughts consume him, never staying on one for too long in case he hurt his head thinking about it. Hearing Theodore’s voice a bit more clearly now he heard him tell Miriah to relax and not worry about whatever it was they were talking about. She told him! he though immediately. What else could they be talking about, really? Miriah must have told Theodore that she was pregnant, Aiden was still confused as to why she told him of all people, or was she just going around and telling everyone? He thought about this for a few moments and only looked up when he saw Theodore walking past him, coming out of the alcove he looked back at where Miriah had been standing and couldn’t see any sign of her. Sighing he flung himself against the wall again, he had just missed his chance. “Hey Theodore! Wait up.” he called out to the Slytherin, without even thinking. “What were you and Miriah talking about?” he questioned him in a serious tone.

Theodore was about halfway down the corridor when he heard someone call his name and to wait up for some odd reason, the blonde turned his head and was immediately confused with who he saw. Why on earth was was Aiden Lorka asking for him to wait up for him? For a moment Theodore was tempted to just shove his books under his arm and just keep going because he didn't feel like dealing with whatever Aiden was trying to bother him about today. But then there was that annoying little voice inside of him that told him to at least try and be nice to him. 'I don't want to be nice though, he's nothing but a pain in the backside.' The Slytherin thought to himself as he kept walking to try and catch a distance between them. Then again when he really thought about it he was over what had happened in the past, on Aiden's side at least. He still had yet to even consider forgiving Isabella for what she had done to him and his sister, it was a long time ago but stuff like that stuck around forever at times. Still he had a much better girlfriend now that he loved with all of his heart. He didn't need to bother with anyone else but her. Finally he stopped walking away and waited for Aiden to catch up to him for reasons unknown to him. This was the last he needed but as Head Boy he figured he should at least give Aiden a chance to explain what he wanted or needed from him. When the Gryffindor caught up and asked what he and Miriah were talking about Theodore raised an eyebrow before he snorted. He motioned for Aiden to walk him as he tried to keep his amusement hidden. So he had been watching the two of them walk and talk with one another. Now Theodore actually had a reason to keep him around for a minute or two, he was curious now.

"Why do you care what we were talking about?" Theodore's voice wasn't at all rude or sarcastic like it usually was whenever he spoke to Aiden, but instead this time it was curious and lighthearted. He had no reason to be worried about whatever Aiden wanted but he was still curious about what the guy wanted when it came to him and Miriah, they weren't even friends so Theodore really had no idea about their relationship. About the time that the hallway was mostly cleared as most of the students went to lunch, Theodore sat himself down on a bench and stared at Aiden with a raised eyebrow. "To be honest this time she was really only asking me about the Arithmancy assignments, she's stressed over the NEWT's and I told her to just relax." Theodore admitted after awhile, why make the loser worry over something that obviously wasn't that big. It was actually quite typical for her. Studying all the time and worrying over her grades, why would Aiden think of anything else. Or even be worried of anything else? From what Theodore saw he thought that they hated one another.

Aiden refrained from speeding up his pace to catch up with Theodore because the last thing he wanted right now was to look desperate to anyone that may have been walking past. Aiden didn’t like Theodore and Theodore didn’t like Aiden, it was a secret – far from it in fact, so the fact that Aiden had called out for Theodore to wait up for him was a big thing as far as the seventh year was concerned. He was starting to get pissed that Theodore insisted on continuing to walk but finally he had stopped which allowed Aiden to catch up with him at his own pace and not have to speed up to just talk to Theodore Snow of all people. When he asked his question he had hoped that Theodore would tell him then and there but instead he motioned for Aiden to follow him up the corridor. Confused and a bit curious he gave in and walked through the corridor with Theodore, although he remained behind just a bit so it didn’t look like the two were walking together because Aiden still had some sort of a reputation to maintain and hanging about with the new Head Boy would just be great for him. Not! he thought sarcastically in his head. Walking in silence a bit more up the corridor Aiden grew more and more curious as to what Theodore was going to tell him, if he was going to tell him anything at all that was. When they reached a quiet part of the corridor Aiden realised that they were pretty much alone, expecting everyone else had just headed off to lunch. Watching Theodore sit down Aiden leaned against the wall, folding his arms across his chest as he listened to Theodore talk. He just hoped this wasn’t going to be a waste of his time for Aiden could have much easily gone to the places where Miriah might be right now like the library for instance. Or the North Tower and waited for a Ravenclaw to walk by which he could make get Miriah for him. There was also the Great Hall for lunch, all plausible options but he didn’t have a lot of time to search everywhere for her so Theodore was his best option for now. Shuddering a bit he never thought that Theodore would ever be an option for him in any situation.

“I have my reasons.” Aiden said rolling his shoulders so he could straighten himself up a bit, not wanting to give anything away to Theodore. When he finally told Aiden what Miriah was talking to him about he grew a bit annoyed as he wasted all this time for something as silly as class and marks and typical Miriah things. “Are you sure that’s all?” Aiden asked Theodore with a cold stare, hoping for once that the Slytherin boy was being decent and not just pulling him along for the fun of it, the first time that Aiden had come to him for something. “Wait! What do you mean this time?” he questioned as what everything Theodore had said registered with him. So this wasn’t the first time the two had talked about things.

Theodore rolled his eyes when Aiden said he had his reasons for asking what he and Miriah were talking about, Theodore figured it was probably something to do with Miriah and Aiden really disliking one another. He was asked if he was sure that was all and Theodore sighed. "Um she also asked about Quidditch tryouts. She's going to tryout for the Ravenclaw team and asked what the tryouts were like since she knows I'm Co-captain. And thats it." Theodore was getting a little annoyed that Aiden wanted to know so much about what Miriah was talking to being about because it really wasn't much of his business. But they weren't talking about anything private or anything so it wouldn't be a sin if they did either. The only conclusion the Veela male could come up with was that Aiden disliked Miriah to the point where he didn't want her to have friends or anything, that was really low for even him. Theodore figured he could either leave or stay put and keep talking to Aiden and for reasons unknown he chose to stay and talk with Aiden. For some reason he picked up on the feeling that he was nervous or upset about something. But what was it? "Well I mean, I've spoken to her a lot since school started. We've had lots of conversations and have hung out a little. So, there have been other conversations between us." Theodore told Aiden softly as his fingers ran over his textbooks carefully. This should have been obvious to Aiden what he meant. They have spoken before and there had spoken about other things. Did Theodore want to dare and even bring them up though? Like about how Miriah thought she was pregnant at one point? How she found out she really wasn't? Or even how she's been having family problems and was thinking about transferring back to Durmstrang? He fiddled with his lip ring and let his emerald green eyes focus onto the brown haired Gryffindor in front of him, when did he care about any of this?

"Aiden listen, I don't know what you have against Miriah but I think that you should just..leave her alone. She's been having a really rough time lately." Theodore offered as he shifted his legs and sat up more properly. He wasn't sure what was going on but he did know that if Aiden continued to bully her like he used to she wasn't going to last. Poor thing had been miserable form what he saw. This made Theodore want to sneak away and go go cuddle in Aleyha's arms. Thinking about others being lonely made him thankful that he had someone who didn't make him feel alone, who made him feel loved and wanted. Theodore wanted to ask Aiden what was up but he didn't think that Aiden would answer him.

Aiden knew that probably not being completely open with Theodore about why he wanted to know what he and Miriah were talking about may make the Head Boy just not tell him anything because people were like that and Aiden knew that but he really didn’t feel that Theodore would understand let alone care, in fact Aiden thought that it might make Theodore less willing to tell him anything. When Theodore told him other things that Miriah had talked about Aiden became concerned. He knew that she had shown an interest in joining the Quidditch Team during the holidays when he taught her a few pointers, before everything happened of course, and she was pretty decent – a lot better than he expected, but he didn’t know that she was still going to try out for the team seeing she was pregnant now, wasn’t that sort of thing harmful for the baby and not to mention Miriah? “Mmm.” he hummed under his breath. He really wasn’t happy with the whole situation and the fact that Miriah told these things to Theodore made it even worse for Aiden. This year he was trying to change himself, going to class, doing extracurricular activities and a number of other things that would make him a better person and more importantly the type of person that would be a good father considering he would be one soon. He still wasn’t sure how he felt about the fact that he’d be a father, he was sort of beginning to like the idea and had even been thinking about different names that he would want his child to be called but he knew that if Miriah never gave him the chance to even talk to her anymore he wouldn’t really have a say in anything to do with the child – but he knew that that wouldn’t stop him and that he would try his hardest. When Theodore said that this wasn’t the first time that they had talked since the beginning of the year and in fact they had talked a lot. Aiden’s hopes that maybe Miriah had just been avoiding a lot of people and not just him were shattered at that moment, although he even knew that he was a bit off with that idea, of course Miriah would be just be ignoring him, she really had every right too.

Lost and unsure what to do not he listened to Theodore again and despite Theodore’s tone Aiden found himself get angry at the suggestion. “Thanks but no thanks Theo.” he said in a snappy voice. “Look, I have nothing against her, far from it in fact, but she just won’t talk to me and we need to talk.” he said with a determined voice. Maybe if he explained things to Theodore then he could help Miriah come to her senses and just let Aiden talk to her even for a short time, just long enough for them to sort things out. Then again, Aiden wasn’t sure if he wanted to let anyone know what was going on between them especially if he couldn’t be sure if Miriah had or hadn’t told anyone what was happening.

Theodore snorted when Aiden snapped right back at him for telling him that he should just leave Miriah alone. He should have guessed that the Gryffindor would be snappy with him. But now Theodore's curiosity was growing and one way or another he was going to figure out what was going on. Shifting he brushed some of his hair his face and began to chew on his lip ring a little. "Aiden your just going to piss her off more than she already is, seriously. Whats so important that you need to talk to her that badly though?" Theodore raised an eyebrow as he continued to speak without any hostility or anger towards Aiden about any of this. He was the Head Boy now so in away he should try to help out his fellow peers. Even if sometimes they had the most ridiculous problems. On top of that he wanted to make sure that Aiden didn't give Miriah too much of a problem as she seriously was not having a good month anyways. He was going to just make it worse and Theodore wasn't sure that Aiden quite knew what was going, or if he did he was being an even bigger jerk than usual. Though for some reason the Slytherin male doubted that Aiden would know anything about Miriah's pregnancy scare and the fact that she was almost kicked out of her sisters apartment because of it. He would just have to pry and see what Aiden knew and what he didn't know. Then something hit him and Theodore suddenly had to resist the urge to smirk to himself. Theodore wanted to scold himself for not thinking of this sooner but he really hadn't tried to connect anything until now. It was weird to think about but at the same oh so rewarding to just think about, finally something to make him squirm with.

"So, since when did you start liking Miriah?" Actually he wasn't all that sure if he was right or not but he was starting to connect things together and it was all seemingly pointing to the fact that Aiden probably had a crush on her. The curiosity about her conversation with others, him really needed to talk to her, and him always being on Miriah's case about everything. Theodore had been like this with Aleyha and was actually wondering how he missed this. And if Theodore was indeed right on the dot then this was going to be a much more exciting day than he thought. Not that he was trying to be mean, but he figured that it was about time that Aiden started to see that things were going to be rough until he fixed them. The past always catches up with the future and that was something everyone needed to expect.

Aiden should have figured that he would have gotten nowhere with Theodore, the two practically hated each other’s guts and never got on with each other even at the best of times so he didn’t know why he expected Theodore to tell him anything that would be of any use to him. Of course Theodore didn’t know the whole story and for a few moments he had contemplated maybe telling him what Aiden’s intentions actually were but then he realised that that wouldn’t change matters whatsoever and probably wouldn’t make Theodore tell him anything more than he already was. “You wouldn’t understand, alright? It’s between Miriah and me and I’d like to get it sorted out sooner rather than later.” he told him, still not wanting to tell Theodore what it was about for it didn’t make sense at all too, did it? Aiden really didn’t know what to think anymore, he had so much going on in his mind that it getting hard for him to focus on one thing for too long which made the fact that he only really had Miriah on his mind difficult to make sense off. Aiden was surprised that Theodore actually cared about Miriah and that he didn’t want Aiden giving her any bother. Aiden didn’t think that Theodore even liked anyone apart from himself and possibly his fiancée who Aiden had only seen once but he must care for her from what he heard. Aiden couldn’t describe what it was he felt when he heard Theodore protect Miriah for he remembered Miriah telling him about how she felt when she told him about why she liked Theodore that one time. He could only describe it as jealousy? but he quickly put that thought out of his head because he knew that there was nothing to be jealous about between the two for Theodore was engaged to someone and Miriah didn’t like him like that anymore as far as he was aware.

At Theodore’s next question Aiden stared at him with a look of complete and utter confusion clear on his face. “I don’t like Miriah!” he snapped back, almost too quickly and too defensive but really he just wanted to make it clear. “What the hell gave you that impression?” he asked Theodore, wondering why the hell he would ask such a random question. If anyone knew the two at all they would know that their feelings for each other was far from it in fact they damn near hated each other. Of course there was the ‘truce’ that they had made but that really hadn’t lasted too long after what had happened during the holidays. Aiden wished that they weren’t back to the way they were before the ‘truce’ came into play because to be honest it was just so much easier when he didn’t have to exert all that energy into being mean to her but he figured that he had blown his chance at that. Although no one could say that he wasn’t at least trying, it was Miriah that was being the difficult one.

This immediately led Theodore to believe that he knew exactly what was going on and why Aiden was being really awkward like he was today, the blonde grinned before he leaned back a little. He would wait before he started to accuse him of anything though. This year already was turning out to be one of his best and Theodore wasn't sure how much more was going to go actually his way. "Aiden come on, you never know..I might understand it better than anyone. Just tell me whats up. Maybe I can help get her talking to you again?" Theodore asked with a raised eyebrow as he tried to figure out what was going on between the two of them right now, he had a bunch of assumptions but he had no idea if they were correct or not. The biggest one having to do with him having feelings for the Ravenclaw, but there was also things like that whole pregnancy scare or Quidditch. Theodore wasn't quite sure why he was curious but he guessed that because Aiden was never known to really be like this Theodore wanted to know what was triggering him to act this way. It didn't seem like anyone else knew what was going on because Aleyha didn't say anything to him about it and Miriah was related to her. What would Hadan think about all of this going on? Theodore hoped that trying to reason with the Gryffindor male would work out the way he wanted it to because he wasn't sure what else would be able to convince him to say anything at all. Then again if Theodore wanted to pull really low strings he could test to see how much he actually really wanted to talk to Miriah.

"You don't like her hm? Then how would you feel about her dating some other guy? I've been seeing her hang around with this other guy an awful lot...and I think he really likes her." Theodore decided to play low and test Aiden. He expected no response at all from the boy proving that Aiden wasn't into Miriah, but you never know. Half of this was a lie anyways. Yeah he had seen Miriah hanging out with this other guy quite a bit but he was pretty sure that they weren't into one another like that, but it was still fun to try and see. Theodore wouldn't reveal with led him to believe that Aiden liked Miriah until he saw whether or not this would work to his advantage.

Aiden had no idea what Theodore was grinning about, this was not a good situation and definitely not one to be smiling about. Aiden felt his blood start to boil; Theodore was probably enjoying seeing Aiden like this, that’s why he was smiling. Before Aiden could say anything to Theodore she heard the Slytherin speak first. Aiden looked at him with curious eyes, “Why do you even care?” he questioned him.“We’ve never exactly been on the best terms before.” he pointed out for irritation, just in case Theodore forgot. It was true; it was no secret that Aiden and Theodore never got on ever since their first year and for Theodore to show some sort of consideration now was very strange as far as Aiden was concerned. Aiden could see two possible solutions to this situation right now but he didn’t know which to choose. One, he could tell Theodore what was up and the blonde haired Slytherin could be true to his word and actually help Aiden out a bit, maybe even get Miriah to talk to him so the two could sort everything out. Although why Theodore would help Aiden out was still beyond the Gryffindor. Or two, Theodore was only putting on this nice facade to trick Aiden into telling him what was wrong, laughing at his misfortune and telling everyone around the school. Both seemed plausible to the Gryffindor but a part of him still wanted to tell Theodore – despite the second outcome that Aiden thought about. It was no secret that Aiden didn’t have many friends, or any friends as the case maybe, and the thought of having someone to tell his problem too was somewhat tempting, even if it was Theodore. He decided to leave his decision until he heard what Theodore had to say, maybe the Slytherin had grown up and may not be such a jerk that Aiden knew him to be.

Aiden really didn’t know what Theodore was thinking when he asked when Aiden started to like Miriah; it was an absurd idea as far as the Gryffindor was concerned. Any feelings Aiden had toward Miriah were far from that of a nature that would lead anyone to believe he liked her. Granted for the period of time that the two were on a friendly basis he hated her much less, almost enough to say that he liked her but not in the sense that Theodore was talking about. When Theodore started to question him about how he would feel towards Miriah dating other guys. To be perfectly honest with himself Aiden felt a bit annoyed at the idea of her seeing other guys but he told himself that he only felt like this because the other guy would probably have more of a role in his child’s life than he would. Although when Theodore said that Miriah had been seen to hanging around with another guy and that he really seemed to like her, Aiden almost blew his calm. “Who is this guy? Does he go to his school? When did you see them hanging around with each other?” he asked, not taking a breath between his questions. When it was only hypothetical about Miriah seeing other people was Aiden able to keep his cool but when there was actually a guy in the picture did Aiden get worried.

Theodore could have guessed that Aiden would bring up the fact that they didn't get along before up as Theodore attempted to help Aiden out with the whole Miriah thing. This was what the Slytherin was waiting for because he knew that at one point he might have thought the very same thing if he hadn't grown up a lot since the last time they interacted with one another. "Because probably unlike you. I've grown up a lot since then. Now come on and just spill if you actually want some help." Theodore replied to Aiden with a soft roll of his eyes and a tone in his voice that sounded like he was getting annoyed and impatient over the entire situation going on right now. He just wanted to know what the hell the problem was between Aiden and Miriah because no matter how ticked off at one another they were, they seemed to find a way to annoy and terrorize one another to no end. Now they didn't even seem to be doing that. It almost worried Theodore that something had really been bothering the two of them and he just wasn't being informed about it. The blonde sat forward and he decided that he was going to try and bait Aiden a little into it, not trick him but offer him something in return for telling him things. Theodore figured it might egg Aiden on and help him started to speak about it a little and maybe get onto giving Theodore the information he wanted. "How about this, if you tell me whats going on. I'll tell you everything Miriah and I have talked about." He told Aiden quietly as he watched a couple holding hands pass by, they both glanced at him and he narrowed his eyes at them for a minute. They passed by and he returned his eyes onto Aiden and raised an eyebrow, as if to tell the Gryffindor that it was his choice whether he said anything or not. There was a lot of conversations that he had with the Ravenclaw that he was sure Aiden would enjoy to here. Like Miriah's deep dislike for raccoons because they looked shifty. Or how she could eat an entire pint of ice cream by herself. Plus there was the whole baby conversation and such, what would Aiden thing about that.

"Oh yes you definitely don't like Miriah. Dude you just complete freaked out over the fact that someone else may like her. I don't see why you'd get so worried, I mean if you really don't like her then I guess you wouldn't care that I saw him give her a hug yesterday outside the Common Room." Theodore rolled his eyes and flicked some of his hair away form his eyes as he baited Aiden once again. He did see her with some guy but he knew that she didn't like him and that they only studied together. But Aiden didn't know that and Theodore was going to use it to his advantage. It probably seemed like a jerk move but Theodore figured that Aiden really did like Miriah.

Aiden rolled his sapphire orbs at Theodore’s comment; he had half expected the Slytherin to say that. Right now Aiden might not seem it but he had grown up himself, well he was trying to at least. Ever since he found out that he was going to be a father he was trying to change his ways, he hadn’t flirted with any other girl since he had been with Miriah and he was even trying to do well in classes so he could have a good job after graduation if he had to support a child. Although Aiden was Aiden and it was hard for him to completely change his ways in such a short period of time so it may not be noticeable to people who knew him. “Cheap shot.” he said as he glared at Theodore but he couldn’t keep it up for too long as he knew the Slytherin was right and Aiden had to swallow his ego soon or he may never get the chance to get some help in having Miriah talk to him as all his own attempts had failed miserably. When Theodore gave Aiden an offer he really wondered if the Slytherin had grown up, he was bribing Aiden now so it was questionable. Then again, the offer was tempting, maybe Miriah would have told Theodore something that would all the Gryffindor to somehow get Miriah to talk to him again. Urgh He thought, everything was just so much more simpler when they hated each other, now Aiden didn’t know what to think, he very much so had mixed emotions when it came to Miriah now a days and only if she would let him talk to her for five minutes, he might be able to sort all of that out. “Well you’re the one who is all buddy buddy with Miriah, I’m sure she told you what we did at the holidays.” he said, slightly annoyed that he was actually letting himself tell Theodore of all people everything. Then again he and Miriah seemed to have gotten friendly so maybe she already told him and Theodore being Theodore didn’t think anything off it and had forgotten about it by now. That, or he just wanted to put Aiden through the awkward process of telling him what had happened, which would be typical about Theodore but Aiden could tell that that wasn’t the case today, no Theodore definitely didn’t know or he would have said something about it already. Aiden figured that Theodore and Miriah mustn’t be as friendly as it was made out to be if she didn’t tell Theodore about that night in the holidays.

Aiden rolled his eyes again when Theodore insisted that Aiden liked Miriah. That was so untrue; Theodore just probably couldn’t see that with his hair covering his eyes all the time. He had to admit that for anyone that didn’t know his reasoning then his freaking out over her liking other guys would make it look like he liked Miriah but really, his reasoning justified it perfectly and maybe Theodore would know why if Aiden decided to tell him why, but he didn’t know if he wanted to tell anyone or not and even if the two had grown up the past was still there and Aiden still had a right to be sceptical of Theodore. “Look I have my reasons, alright? Now are you going to tell me who this jerk is or not?” he asked so he could maybe meet this guy himself and see things for himself.

Theodore wasn't getting anywhere with this and he was now frustrated with himself for even trying to help people out with their relationships and other things. His love life was once complicated as hell but now that he and Aleyha were in a good place he didn't really know how to fix other people's relationship problems. When Aiden mentioned him and Miriah doing something over the Holidays Theodore suddenly got an idea about what was happening between them. "This wouldn't have anything to do with a baby would it? Miriah did mention something about that but there was no names or anything. She was hysterical about it, my sister said she almost dropped out of school and everything." Theodore's eyes glanced down the hallway to see if anyone was coming down the hallway but it was all quiet and it seemed like no one was around. Which was good because Theodore figured that if Miriah caught him talking to Aiden of all people about that whole baby thing then she would flip out completely. It seemed that he was the one person she was willing to beg Theodore not to mention this too. Like she literally pleaded with him not to talk to Aiden about this. It wasn't until now that the Slytherin had begun to wonder why she didn't want him to know. There was no absolute way that Aiden couldn't have been that baby's father if there actually was one could he? Theodore shifted comfortable before he sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. He didn't think it was true but he was going to wait and see if Aiden mentioned it or anything. Sure there really was no baby but if Aiden thought there was Theodore figured that she should be the one to tell him the truth. For some reason the Head Boy figured he was stepping into bad grounds, like should he really be the one talking about this with Aiden? The loser also wouldn't admit that he had the words most obvious crush on Miriah which Theodore thought was dumb. It was obvious so how come he couldn't just admit it out loud. It wasn't like Theodore was going to tell her or anything. With a sigh he brushed some of his hair out of his face.

"I don't know the guys name. You'd probably need to ask Miriah his name if you wanted to know. I don't think you should bother though. Miriah is definitely not your type. You seem to be into the pretty Slytherin chicks. And to be honest...she's really not all that pretty..and she's kind of a b!itch. Kind of needs a good smack upside the head." Theodore was lying, he didn't think she was ugly or that mean. But he wanted to see if that would rile Aiden up. Theodore still wanted to prove that Aiden liked Miriah. If he stood up for her and everything then Theodore would throw that in his face. He needed to admit it because if he did then maybe he would be able to find an easier way to talk to her. Maybe if Miriah knew that he really liked her and just didn't plan on using her she would be more willing to talk to him.

Aiden couldn’t believe that he was actually going to tell someone about what had happened over the holidays and Theodore of all people completely baffled the Gryffindor. Sure maybe telling someone his problems wouldn’t be such a bad idea and having it off his mind may allow some space to breath but it was no secret that he never liked Theodore so telling him his problems was a big step for him. When Theodore mentioned about how Miriah had talked about a baby and dropping out of school, something that was new news to Aiden. Although this wasn’t what had surprised Aiden, what surprised him was that Miriah had actually told someone about their baby besides Hadan – and the fact that that person was Theodore still confused him but now wasn’t the time for thinking about that. Well she hadn’t mentioned any names and he couldn’t say he wasn’t surprised, it was probably something that would have embarrassed her greatly and that wasn’t something that Aiden ever wanted to do to her. “Yeah the baby is a big part of what happened, and the whole part leading up to it – if you get what I mean.” he said, lowering his voice slightly in reference to the night that he and Miriah had sex because that night really messed up their relationship and Aiden wanted to try and fix it and the fact that a baby was the result of that night made him want to fix things with Miriah even more. Aiden still couldn’t believe that he had pretty much told Theodore that he and Miriah had slept together. Miriah hadn’t mentioned any names about who the father of the child was but he wondered if Theodore had any ideas and if he didn’t what he thought about how Aiden was the baby’s father. Considering Miriah and Aiden’s past relationship it would probably be a bit unbelievable to a lot of people and truth be told if Aiden hadn’t...well...if he hadn’t lived it himself, he would have found it hard to believe. Although, what had happened had happened and there was no way to reverse time and erase what had happened that night now – not that he would want to because he had rather enjoyed himself when he had sobered up and began to remember it, not that he would tell anyone though.

When Theodore started talking about the guy that he had seen hanging out with Miriah he was a little annoyed that he didn’t know the guys name, As Head Boy isn’t he supposed to know everyone in the school? I thought that was like a requirement or something. he thought to himself. He would have said it out loud and let Theodore answer but the blonde haired Slytherin just kept talking. While Aiden was listening to him he wasn’t completely focused as he was starting to get more and more pissed off at what Theodore had to say. How could Miriah stand to talk to him about everything like he was a friend if he thought of her this way? Most of the time Aiden hadn’t liked Miriah and there was a time he would probably have said something along the same lines but he had learned that he was wrong and she wasn’t as bad of a person as he first thought, in fact she was pretty great and definitely someone worth getting to know. Ignoring the comment about how he wasn’t her type, he really didn’t care though because he didn’t like her. “Now you listen here Snow!” he said taking a few steps closer to Theodore, staring him directly in the eyes and talking in hushed tones so as to not be overheard. “I highly suggest you take what you said about Miriah back. She is far prettier than any girl in this school; and far nicer too and if anyone needs a good smack upside the head it’s you for saying such things.” he told him, and without realising what was coming out of his mouth he just convinced himself that Theodore was right but Aiden was a bit slow when it came to things like this so it didn’t hit him straight away

Finally Theodore understood what was going on and why Miriah and Aiden were fighting like they were the past few months that they've been in school. His mouth dropped open as if he had just been told that the world was going to end tomorrow. This was something he seriously did not see coming. From neither Aiden or Miriah. They hated one another as far as he knew so what led them to sleep with one another and end up having a baby, well Theodore knew that there was no baby but Aiden didn't seem to know. "Wow..your the father of that baby? And you slept with Miriah?! I really didn't see that one coming. Was she any good?" Theodore was going ballistic over that. After months of trying to figure out who the guy was that Miriah had slept with he managed to finally get the name and the face, he never would have guessed that it was Aiden. This was almost to much but at the same time he figured that the way they were always in each other's face would someday lead to something. The last part was mostly a joke though because he would rather think about someone else like that rather than Miriah. What led Aiden to screw someone he claimed that he hated and everything, it made no sense to the Head Boy. Theodore flicked some of his hair out of his face before he cleared his throat and spoke to Aiden softly. This next part was not going to be pretty at all. Especially if Aiden really did like Miriah. "Dude no wonder she's pissed then. Miriah thinks that you only used her like you did all the others girls you've dated, and that like most typical guys..a baby won't make you stay. In fact she kind of suspects you'd already be in a relationship with another girl. And..she thinks you hate her." Theodore explained to Aiden. During the time Miriah mentioned no names but thats what she had said exactly, that she felt she was only being used and baby or not it wasn't going to keep them together. Good thing she wasn't pregnant though because she seemed way to young to be having a baby right now. The thought of having children anytime soon bothered Theodore to no end and he wasn't sure if he really wanted to have kids ever, even if someday he knew that Aleyha and he needed to. Theodore was starting to feel bad for Aiden now, then again he did claim that he didn't like her. So why feel bad at all. Theodore had all the proof he needed now and he was going to rub it in.

"Dude I wasn't serious buutt..it's so obvious you like her. You freaked out when you thought some guy liked her, you slept with her, you just called her the prettiest girl in the school, defended her, and you should see the way you look at her. Admit it you like her. A lot." Theodore muttered with a smirk on his face. He had caught Aiden right away because all the signs were leading up to it. How could Aiden not know that he liked her?! Maybe if Aiden could actually admit that he liked her and wanted to be with her Miriah would trust him more? Theodore wasn't sure how to get Miriah to listen with how pissed she is but it was worth a shot.

There he had said it, in less words but nonetheless he had made it known to Theodore, of all people, that Aiden and Miriah had in fact slept with each other over the holidays and to make it even more worse there was a baby as result of their drunken mistake. Granted the more Aiden had thought about that night the more he had admitted it to himself that he had enjoyed it and if it wasn’t for that night altering his relationship with Miriah to the way it was now then he might not have fully regretted it like he had since school had started up. Watching Theodore very closely he grew anxious to see what his reaction was, even though he didn’t know why he cared so much, it was only Theodore and he seemed to already know half of the story and Aiden just aided in filling in the missing pieces. Seeing his mouth drop Aiden waited for it and like he expected Theodore seemed pretty surprised about it all. “Yes..” he answered, nodding his head slowly, although the questions kept coming. “Yes to everythi- I’m not answering that last question Theodore.” he said with a glare directed at the boy in front of him...that was Aiden to know and Theodore to never find out. While Aiden wasn’t surprised about Theodore’s reaction he was surprised that he believed him so easily. For all Theodore could know this whole thing could have been a lie and Aiden was just making up some sort of excuse because when the situation was looked at from someone else’s point of view, two ‘enemies’ somehow ending up having sex with each other, no matter how drunk they were seemed rather ludicrous...of course that wasn’t the case in this situation. When he gave Theodore a few seconds to let the news sink in he was about to speak up again until the Slytherin beat him to it. Theodore’s words were in a way helpful and useless to Aiden. He started to feel his stomach sink, he felt a million times worse now that he had before. He could understand where Miriah was coming from, his past truly spoke for itself right now. Although she never gave him the chance to show her that he had changed and that unlike most typical guys, as Theodore put it, a baby would make him stay. Then again he was only 17, he wasn’t going to be like that guy in their year who ended up getting married to the pregnant chick, Abbey or something, just because they had a child, but he would want to be a part of the baby’s life and help out with it. Although Miriah seemed to have other ideas and wouldn’t even let Aiden within 10 feet from her it seemed like now-a-days. “Theodore you have to help me out with this.” he said, a tone of pleading in his voice. “Look I never intended for any of this but now it has there is nothing that can be done about it but Miriah has it all wrong, the complete opposite actually. She won’t let me talk to her anymore so you have to make her see some sort of sense.” he said, past the point of caring about who he was talking to and how desperate his requests were.

When Theodore started to point out things Aiden had just said but in shedding them in a different light from how Aiden had. Aiden was never one to back down to easily and he was just as stubborn as the next person and as Theodore talked he was formulating excuses in his head to each and every one of his rebuttals, it was quite easy to actually and if Aiden still wanted to fight this to himself he would easily have put them forward but as he went to open his mouth he found that he just couldn’t say it, he wanted too but his mind was telling him to stop and just give into the inevitable. “Urgh..maybe.” he said with an aggravated sigh and a shrug of his shoulders. “So what if I do? She hates me right now and will probably think that this is just some sort of excuse to trick her or something...I don’t know.” he finished, he didn’t know what to do or think anymore, this wasn’t turning out how he imagined it too.

Theodore laughed out loud when he caught Aiden's glare and comment about not answering the last questioned that he had been asked. The Head Boy certainly didn't expect him to answer but it he did and it was pretty amusing. Theodore could care less if she was a goddess in bed or anything because really the only girl he would ever consider doing anything with was the one he was engaged to and happily in love with. "Relax Aiden, I was joking about the last question. But wow, never thought that you and Miriah would ever have a thing like that going on. But I guess it's true...you can't really choose who you fall for." Theodore shrugged his shoulders and sat back. He was actually repeating a lot of this to himself because he remembered back when he and Aleyha were fighting all the time. He wanted to smack himself when he first ended up liking her because he thought that what he was doing was dumb. Theodore thought his feelings were just being a pain in his side and that he needed to ignore them at any cost. Perhaps Aiden had tried to do the same thing but wasn't able to really keep it hidden as well as Theodore had when he was being stupid and childish. Before he could say anything else he was being pleaded to for help and his emerald green eyes widened greatly. It was shock to begin with that he was even being asked to help out but the fact that it was over a girl made him start to think that maybe had even grown up a little bit. "I'll help you if I can. But I will tell you know that this could get worse if were not careful. Maybe I can somehow find a way to make her talk to you. I think that overall no matter what, next time you talk to her..don't let her blow you off. Make her talk." Theodore told Aiden as he stood up from his bench and glanced down the hallway. A group of students just finishing lunch was headed their way. A few of them he recognized as kids in their year but he didn't see Miriah yet. When she was Theodore had an idea to tell Aiden. Maybe have a study session with her or corner her in the hallway. Maybe even ask her to the Yule Ball. He just need to catch her attention.

"Do you like her a lot? If so then maybe there's hope for you yet. I know for a fact that she doesn't hate you. She told me herself that she would have probably liked you if you weren't so mean and always sleeping around with other girls. If you can make her understand..then maybe you guys might have something." Theodore offered and when he finally spotted Miriah headed down the hallway he cleared his throat to get Aiden's attention. She was smiling softly as she walked and spoke with another boy, he was wearing a Ravenclaw uniform so he expected that the guy must have been a classmate of Miriah's. For a moment she looked almost happy but the closer she got the more Theodore noticed how her eyes had a sense of unhappiness to them.

Aiden really wished Theodore wouldn’t try to make light of this situation. The Slytherin clearly didn’t see how hard this situation was on Aiden. The Gryffindor was thinking that maybe telling anyone about the situation was a mistake if they couldn’t see just how serious it was and how hard Aiden was trying to fix it. No-one seemed to bother that Aiden had been trying really hard to change his ways and actually was doing a good job at it. He knew for a fact that Miriah noticed the change but didn’t seem to care about them because she thought he was still up to his old habits just less frequently. Listening to Theodore speak Aiden rolled his sapphire orbs. “You can say that again.” he said rhetorically. Aiden and Miriah were the perfect example of not really been able to choose who you fall for. Well it was like that for Aiden anyway because he had fallen for Miriah whereas she hated his guts, so that statement was only partly true when put into this context. When Aiden asked Theodore for his help he held his breath slightly. He knew he was probably going to be pushing his luck here...a lot. Only a half hour or so ago Theodore would have been the last person that Aiden would have gone to for any sort of help, especially relationship help. And here he was now, asking for the help of one of the guys that he had hated for many years now. Although he had to admit that he hadn’t done anything completely hateful now and had actually helped out a lot because Aiden probably would never have realised he liked Miriah or it would have least taken much longer and by then maybe it would have been too late. Seeing Theodore’s eyes widen Aiden figured all hope was lost and that he probably thought it wasn’t worth his while and just forget about her. Although when Theodore said he would help it was Aiden’s turn to widen his eyes. He listened to Theodore’s suggestion he felt his heart sink. “Yeah I’ve tried that already. It didn’t work out too well. We talked...which turned into shouting...some things were said and Miriah ended up crying and running out on me.” He said, his voice low. He felt oh so bad after what happened and what was said down in the dungeons that day and he should just forget about everything because no way was Miriah going to talk to him again after what she said to him.

When Theodore started talking again he had to ask himself the questions. He only just realised that he liked Miriah, but how much did he like her? Then he remembered that feeling he experienced in the potions classroom when she said that she hated him. That feeling of void in his chest...is that what a broken heart felt like or something similar to it at least? Aiden nodded his head in relation to Theodore’s first question, there was no point hiding it now. Although when Theodore said that he knew for a fact that Miriah didn’t hate him Aiden felt his heart starting to race again – there really was hope for him, wasn’t there? Aiden never realised just how useful it would be to have Theodore as a friend for he was able to tell him things that he never would have known otherwise. The fact that Miriah had said that she probably would have liked him, no matter how small that was made him smile for the first time in ages. Before Aiden could say anything he heard Theodore cough at looking at someone. Turning his head in the same direction he saw Miriah walking toward them, he didn’t see anyone else – just Miriah. Turning his attention back to Theodore Aiden’s eyes were wide. “I can’t have her see me now! Talk to her, see what you can do.” he said, as he ducked in behind one of the alcoves, out of sight but he was still able to hear everything clearly – he wondered just what Theodore would do.

Theodore was about to turn and smack Aiden upside the head. Not because Aiden was going to hide or anything, but because he just revealed that he ended up making Miriah and run out. He was tempted to tell the Gryffindor that he probably didn't deserve her attention after that. Making a girl cry then expecting them to forgive you was a very rough business to work with, and Theodore did not want to end up in the crossfire of this one. Just as he was going to tell Aiden that he needed to do this himself the boy told Theodore to talk to her and when to go hide. His emerald green eyes narrowed as he watched the coward go and hide from Miriah. How did he ever expect to make things work if he couldn't actually face her himself? If the Slytherin male was actually going to be forced to do this then Aiden owed him big time after this. "Really dude? Your going to make me talk to her? Your the one that likes-gah nevermind! You owe me for this." Theodore told the male before he caught sight of Miriah still heading this way. He said he would help Aiden but to be honest she wasn't that sure what he was going to talk to her about. He knew that if possible he needed to break up the topic of Aiden to her, and get her to talk while the loser listened in. If Theodore was lucky she would be willing to speak with him, if not then she was going to have a harder time. On top of that he needed to be choosy about what he spoke to her about. He knew that there was no baby and there never was but for some reason Aiden didn't seem to know that. Theodore wasn't about to tell him either because he figured that if it was anyone who needed to break the news to him, it needed to be Miriah. They must be seriously lacking in communication if Aiden had no idea yet, then again she might have figured that the signs would be obvious. Miriah had made the Quidditch team, she was gaining no weight whatsoever. When Miriah was within ranged he picked up a medium sized pebble and chucked it right at her head, hoping it would catch her attention. He heard her yelp before she turned her harsh ruby eyes at him. He waved her over quickly. It took her a moment but she came over, rubbing her head the whole way.

"Sorry about that, have a seat though." He pushed her by the shoulders and pretty much forced her to seat on the very same bench that Aiden was sitting down on just a few minute's ago. He knew being forceful would just piss her off at first, but it was going to be the only way to get her to say. Especially with the questions he was planning on asking her. Once he saw that she was seemingly settled enough he flicked some of his platinum hair out of the way and thought carefully about what he was going to ask her. "I know you hate it when I ask you stuff but, your not leaving until you do." And of course she started to freak out. He expected that but went on anyways. "Sooo...I've been hearing around. That the real reason your upset with Aiden is because you actually slept with him. And to think I thought you hated him...tsk tsk." He was really just bullying her now. She had left out a lot and he knew that she wouldn't like it if he called her out on not telling him the entire story. Hopefully Aiden was listening in and closely at that. rhis could be his chance to get to her if he needed to.

Miriah was headed back from lunch along with a big group of her classmates. She didn't end up eating very much because she had gotten sidetracked from her food with the most amazing book she had ever bothered to check out of the schools library yet. In fact she was reading it this very moment as she walked down the hall slowly. It was all going just fine and dandy to until she felt something hard hit her in the head. "Ouch!" Miriah yelped loudly as her hand went up to rub the back of her head and attempt to soothe the pain that she was feeling in the back of her head. Her eyes shot over to Theodore who looked obviously guilty. Especially as he waved her over with a look on his face that said hurry. Miriah really wanted to just keep going and head back to the common room so she could finish her book and ignore the world. but Theodore did look urgent so she went over anyways. "Why the hell did you thow a-HEY!" Miriah was then being forced to sit down on a bench roughly by Theodore, which also made her drop her books everywhere as well. Whatever was up with him she didn't like it. Then again it seemed that most of the guys she had been around lately were being nothing but jerks. Her partner in one of her classes ended up making her do all the work, Aiden had possibly just crushed her view on romance forever, and Theodore was now acting weird as well. When he started to question and talk about Aiden and her sleeping with him she had to try everything remotely possibly not to scream and cry at him. How did he find out?

"Oh my god Theodore shut up! Number one, it's none of your business who I sleep with and who I don't. Second, I told you I didn't hate him..well at least I used to not hate him. Why are you bother me with this?" Miriah told Theodore in a hushed tone. She didn't want people knowing that she had also done stuff with Aiden. It was bad enough that she knew she was just as bad as those other girls. But she had managed to keep it from everyone else and save Aiden from being bothered too. Why would anyone want to go around and tell people. At one point Miriah also far from hated the Gryffindor boy, but when he called her a slut that had gone right out the window.

Aiden rolled his eyes at Theodore’s remark, he really wasn’t going to let this down and Aiden knew it but a part of him didn’t mind. Having admitted now that he liked Miriah made a lot of sense to him and why he had been feeling so weird about her since they slept together during the holidays – in a way he sort of liked it. To him, admitting that he liked someone and had feelings for them was a big thing. He had been so used to just saying those words and never really meaning them as he knew that the people he was saying them too meant nothing to him but Miriah was different – obviously. He was still new to this whole, having feelings for someone, but he was trying hard not to think about it; which under the current circumstances was extremely difficult. While he knew Theodore was going to help him, and he was right – Aiden did owe him big time for this, Miriah’s feelings were made pretty clear in the dungeons that day so they was slim to no chance that his feelings would go returned. Watching the scene from behind the alcove he frowned his eyebrows as he saw the way Theodore caught Miriah’s attention and even more so how she treated her. It was a highly stupid stunt for him to pull when he knew full rightly that Aiden could see everything that was happening – but that would have to wait until later. Listening in on the conversation Aiden had to commend Theodore for not beating around the bush as he got right to the point. Miriah’s response made his heart sink, she hadn’t hated him but it was official – she hated him now. Then again, why shouldn’t she, he had done some horrible things to her and after calling her a slut he would fully understand if she never talked to him again. He was an idiot.

It seemed that Miriah wasn't very pleased about being stopped and questioned like this. But Theodore didn't really blame her because it was fairly invasive of her personal space. He would have explained everything to her but that would ruin things for Aiden and he figured that if he did she would leave and go somewhere else. It was obvious just by the look on her face when the Gryffindor's name was being mentioned. "Whoooa relax before you give yourself a heart attack or something." He used hand gestures that told her to relax a little. Obviously she felt very strongly about the entire issue going on between the two of them, he knew it wasn't the baby though because there was no baby. How on earth would Aiden still not know about there being no baby? It was something people talked about in the hallway all the time so there was plenty of chances for him to hear the rumor. That almost would have made Theodore suspicious but then again he had to take into account that Aiden had a one track mind from time to time. So perhaps that stupid baby that he was going on about was something he wanted? Though the Head Boy really couldn't understand why anyone would want a baby at this age, they were loud and smelly. God forbid if he ever ended up having one before he was at least in his mid twenty's and could tolerate children much more then he could know. Theodore was pretty sure that Miriah was more than thankful for no baby as well. She could barely tolerate most adults it seems. Whatever the cost though these two really needed to communicate with one another more because Theodore found this a little ridiculous. When the brunette finally responded to what he said to her earlier he smirked, she already seemed uncomfortable but fiery about the subject. It meant that Aiden did have some sort of effect on Miriah. Then she said that she used to not hate him and Theodore was tempted to glance back at Aiden but forced himself not to. He wondered if that had anything to do with making her cry when he tried to speak to her.

"I'm only bringing it up because I really think you should talk to him. I've been hearing around that he likes you and just wants to talk to you. I know your pissed and you probably have a right to be, but you should be thankful that he's willing to talk with you about. If I remember correctly he doesn't that too often. Besides..I think it's about time you guys talked about that 'baby' of yours." Theodore winked when he saw the word baby but since his back was to Aiden during that moment the Gryffindor probably didn't catch it. But he figured Miriah would and that it would tell her that she needed to talk to Aiden about it. He was trying to reasonable with her about it but he knew that he needed to get a little harsh to make her actually listen instead of mouthing off like she did at times.

Miriah barely understood what Theodore was trying to get at here. Was it really necessary for him to bring up the entire issue between her and Aiden when it seemed that she was getting along just fine without him bringing it up. He was trying to figure something out, that was all she could guess. It was sort of annoying to have him bring up all this stuff and not know that Miriah was doing just fine without knowing any of this. Her eyebrows rose at one part of their conversation though. Particularly when Theodore mentioned that Aiden liked her and just wanted to talk to her about something that probably she didn't want to hear. Miriah snorted and put her book back into her bag. "Thats complete bullsh*t and you know it Theodore. Aiden doesn't like me, he told me himself that he hated me while I was tutoring him. Besides, have you ever seen him actually like a girl? Like truly like her? He's more of the type to just have her around until he finds someone else to chase after. To him, I was nothing more than a challenge." Miriah rolled her eyes as she explained to Theodore the whole idea she had about it. It was hard to get it all out and actually come to reality that she was nothing more than a notch in his belt. But sooner or later Miriah figured she would have to come to terms about the way Aiden treated her in the past. It wouldn't make sense for Aiden to like someone like her anyways because she clearly wasn't his type. He was into those really pretty and glamorous looking girls, like those Glam Squad girls. He seemed to like Slytherins too but she wasn't any of those things so she figured that he wouldn't look twice at someone towards her. Miriah grabbed a bobby pin from one of her sleeves and used it to pin part of her bangs back and out of her face. She was starting to get nervous now. Whenever Theodore did get this intrusive on someone's life he was searching and he was serious. "I want to talk to him about it, but everytime he gets really close I get really..nervous and angry. So I always end up just pushing him back." Her thin shoulders shrugged as she tried to be a little bit more honest with Theodore. There was more to it but she figured he was lucky to just get this from her. Miriah was a lot more closed up than most people were so the fact that she was here actually telling someone about her feelings was pretty big. She hated when people tried to get involved.

"There's nothing to say about the baby. It's not like us talking about it would change anything anyways." Miriah didn't get why Theodore would bring this up either. He knew she wasn't actually pregnant or anything so him bringing it up now was nothing short of redundant. In fact he was one of the first people besides her sister to know that she wasn't and her symptoms are just stress related. Miriah guess that Aiden would have figured it out too because she was still stick thin and didn't act like she was pregnant. So what was the point of talking about it when he already knew what was going on?

Aiden leaned against the wall behind him as he folded his arms across his chest, listening in on the conversation that was happening before him. He really didn’t know if anything that Theodore could say would help his situation any. Although Theodore seemed to be on better terms with Miriah that Aiden did right now so whatever the Head Boy could do would probably be a great help to him. When he listened to what Theodore had to say he nodded his head along with it to himself. Theodore was pretty much hitting the nail on the head with what he had to say. He rolled his eyes when Theodore pointed out that he wasn’t normally the type of person to fuss over anyone, especially a girl. It was true though. When a girl started to become too much hassle for his he just left them and moved on, but that was what he was like before Miriah, he didn’t know what it was about her but she made him want to change and made him want to make things better between them even more so. He was surprised when Theodore brought up the baby as it was one thing that Aiden had always indicated but never actually mentioned, he wasn’t sure why he didn’t mention it before; he just couldn’t bring himself to actually say the word he figured. Although when it came for Miriah to respond he felt as if someone had just kicked him in the pit of his stomach – he hated that she was just pointing out the facts well some of it anyway. It had never crossed his mind to think of Miriah like a ‘challenge’. In a way she would have been a challenge if he had ever wanted anything like to happen but those thoughts had never crossed his mind; well not since he got to know her and knew nothing would ever happen with her – oh how wrong he was.

Aiden furrowed his eyebrows when Miriah said that she did want to talk to him but every time she got close she just got nervous and angry and just pushed him away – well he could vouch for that for sure. Although he didn’t expect her to say that, he just figured she was pushing him away because she didn’t want to talk to him, for wanting to talk to him she was sure showing it a funny way. He thought about what she had meant by her statement but when she mentioned that it wasn’t like the baby could really change anything he shot up and stood up straight. What the hell did she mean it wouldn’t change anything? A baby changed everything and Aiden knew this but in a way he knew that even if there wasn’t a baby he would still want things to be right with Miriah and himself.
