If there was one thing that Anthony could say he enjoyed the most about Hogwarts, it was the view atop the Astronomy Tower, and tonight it was amazing. The stars were shining, the air was fresh, and overall it was a great night to be watching the stars. He wondered if he would run up to any of the Astronomy students up here, or if the professors would come in search of people out late. He knew he should probably be out at night, but he couldn't help it. He loved being up here, and he loved the fresh air. It gave him an aerial view of the whole grounds, and there was so much to soak in. He froze when he heard footsteps approaching from behind him.

As much as Clementine loved her House, she did wish she had a better view from her dorm room window, a view like one could see from the towers; Ravenclaw was very lucky. Late one night when she couldn't sleep, the petite Hufflepuff snuck out of her common room and decided to take a trip up to the Astronomy tower so she could get the proper view she was longing for at the moment. Maybe after she had identified after all the constellations she could remember she would be able to go to sleep again. Just as she entered the clearing she saw someone standing there and stopped in her tracks. "Oh, sorry!" she apologized because she could tell her presence had scared him. "I didn't think anyone would be up here. Wait, why are you up here so late?" she asked curiously, as if she wasn't up here herself at this hour.

Anthony visibly relaxed when he noticed that it was another student and not a professor coming to bust him for being out late. He knew it was risky being up here late at night, but there was so much reason to be here as well, especially with the view. He smiled at her, knowing that the odds of her meaning to scare him were extremely low and she had probably shared the same idea that Anthony had in coming up here. He frowned a little when she questioned why he was up here, like she could talk. She'd get in trouble just like him if she could talk. He laughed, "Like you can talk, you're up here too." He said, sticking his tongue out at her. "I came for the view." He said, slinking himself back down onto the floor.

Clementine laughed when he pointed out that she was just as much out here this late at night too, but put her hand over her mouth to keep quiet. She hate to have made it all the way through the castle and up the tower without getting caught only to give herself away a moment later. Clementine smiled and said, "I did too. I couldn't sleep and this view is much better up here than it is from my room." She recognized the boy from her own House so she knew he'd understand what she meant. It wasn't like their view was terrible, better than being underground like Slytherin's common room, but a starry night like tonight was much better up close. She took a step forward but didn't sit down just yet. "Mind if I join you?"

Anthony hadn't been sure if he would have found anyone else up here this late at night, but he was glad that this person had found him. She seemed really nice, and she seemed to share his sentiment regarding the view up here. It was magical, and everyone should see it at night at least once, and even though he knew he shouldn't condone being out after curfew, he would suggest it to anyone that asked. He nodded when she asked if she could join him, he really appreciated the company. "I'm Anthony!" He said, smiling at her as she took a seat down with him. "Have you been up here many times before?" He asked, wondering if she too made a habit of sneaking up here after hours. It had become Anthony's safe place.

Clementine smiled as she took a seat beside the Hufflepuff boy. "I'm Clementine," she introduced herself in return. She was glad to have run into him and not someone who wanted the tower all to themselves because it was a really nice night out. "Not as much as I wish," she answered. "A lot of the times I talk myself out of sneaking out, but tonight I couldn't resist," she said, chuckling somewhat guiltily because the thought of going with her instincts required her to break the rules. "Do you come here a lot?" she wondered. Perhaps it was easier than she thought not to get caught out late at night, professors had to sleep too.

Anthony liked her name. Clementine has a pretty name, and now that he had a chance to actually notice her features since she was closer, she was pretty herself. It was fitting. "Clementine is a nice name." He said with a smile. He wasn't sure if he should admit to her that he didn't come up here a lot, as there was always a chance she could go to a professor, but she didn't seem like the type and he could always throw her under the bus if that happened. "I come up as often as I can, but it isn't always possible with the professors being around." He said with a shrug. "But it's always a nice night when I can manage to get here." He continued and looked out over the grounds.

Clementine beamed when he said she had a nice name. "Thanks! Most people think it's weird or old fashioned," she shrugged, not caring either way. Clementine pulled her hair up into a messy bun so the wind wouldn't keep blowing it in her face and looked out at the view as Anthony spoke. So professors did patrol the corridors at night; she should've been more afraid of getting caught but with Anthony there she wasn't worried. At least they'd both go down together, not that she hoped they would get caught in the first place. She turned and smiled at him and said, "Yeah it's nice out tonight! That's my favorite constellation look," she pointed toward a splatter of stars across the sky. "It's a swan you see?" she said as if it was the most obvious image in the sky and not a bunch of random stars.

Anthony smiled back at her when she seemed to enjoy his comment towards her name, and he found that she had a really nice smile. It was a nice change to be with someone like her as opposed to all of the other students, and he still hadn't really settled in to his place in Obsidian so he still had to spend time at his foster home while that was sorted out. He looked around when she mentioned how nice it was, and he couldn't help but agree considering it was definitely one of the nicer nights that he had seen. "Yeah, it's really nice out here. Only improved with the company." He said with a grin. Looking up at the sky in the direction of the constellation that she pointed out, he couldn't really make out the swan that she was suggesting but he would take her word for it. "I love the stars." He said with a smile.

Clementine had been busy looking out at the stars that she hadn't really paid much attention to the boy beside her, but when he made a comment about her company being nice, she looked over at him and smiled shyly. She could feel her cheeks getting pink but she said, "Thanks," quietly anyway. She hadn't made too many friends while at Hogwarts especially within her own house so she liked that he was so nice. "Your company is appreciated too," she replied with a cheerful smile, nudging him slightly with her shoulder. When he said he liked the stars, Clementine looked back out at the sky and said, "Me too. My sister says they hold the future's secrets up there. But that might just be because she's a Divination professor," she added with a small giggle.

Anthony was glad that Clementine had been the one to join him up here on the Astronomy tower. He knew that there were a lot of worse students in the school, and a lot of bullies that would have given him a hard time for being out here after dark and threatened to rat him into a teacher, but not her. She was one of the nicest people that he had come across at the school and he appreciated that a lot. He gave her a wink when he saw her cheeks flush pink, he always needed friends and he was glad to have found her. He gave her a soft nudge back when she nudged him, and turned his attention back up to the sky when she mentioned that her sister was a divination professor. "Oh, Professor Pratt is your sister?" He asked with a smile, he hadn't expected that, that was for sure. Anthony frowned at the memory of family, as he didn't even know who his were. He'd spent all of his life in foster homes and now that he was at Hogwarts he finally felt like he had a family, but he hoped that one day he was able to find his real family.

Clementine's cheeks were already pink so she tried not to blush harder at the wink he gave her and instead nodded her head and smiled when he asked about her sister. "Yup that's her," she said, somewhat impressed that he knew who she was. Clementine hadn't specified that her sister taught Divination here at Hogwarts New Zealand but Anthony had picked up on it anyway. But then she saw the boy frown slightly and Clementine mirrored his expression. "What's wrong, do you not like Divination?" she wondered innocently.

Anthony gave her a knowing look when she confirmed who her sister was, and he put on a smug smile when she seemed to be impressed by his guess. He knew the names of most of the professors, and it turned out his guesses were pretty lucky. When she asked if he didn't like divination, he simply couldn't help himself. "Yeah, I can't stand the subject, the very thought of it brings me sadness." He said, unable to keep a very straight face throughout his little joke. He wasn't sure if he should share his sadness with her, after all he had only just met her, but there was something about her that made him feel comfortable enough to do so. It was probably how nice she was. "Seriously though," he started with a small smile, "I don't really know my family, all I know is that I have a twin brother and we were seperated at birth. I could have a lot more family members, but I've bounced through foster homes my whole life." He said, his frown deepening as he continued.

At first Clementine couldn't fathom why someone would hate Divination so much because it was a harmless subject, even if she wasn't particularly interested in it herself. But then Anthony began laughing so she quickly understood it was a joke. Clementine laughed lightly at having fallen for it for that brief moment and shook her head at herself. She listened politely as he told her the real reason though, and Clementine bit her lip with worry. "I'm so sorry, that must be tough to deal with," she said softly. "When did you find out about your twin brother?" she asked, hoping it was okay to continue to ask questions because he had trusted her enough to tell her in the first place. She thought of her family and how large it was, yet Clementine always felt alone regardless. Sometimes having a big family wasn't the best thing either. But she was not going to tell the boy this since he seemed to long for one.

Anthony didn't know if he was absolutely comfortable with telling everything to his new friend, but he had already started so there was no point in stopping at this point. He would just have to trust that he kept the information in confidence. He knew that he definitely wasn't ready for everyone in the school to know his secret yet. He reached into his pocket to pull out a picture of him and his twin brother, only hours after they had been born. "This was given to me when I left for Hogwarts, the only clue I have is the word Blade, on the back." He said, handing it to her. He wasn't sure what that meant, was it a person? Was there somebody named Blade Jackson in the school? Or was it a surname? There was so many questions that he'd had over the years, and maybe now that he'd shared his secret he may finally get an answer.

Clementine was surprised when Anthony pulled out a picture and took it gently from him, looking at it carefully. They were so small so there was no way of being able to see whether or not they were identical or any other type of identifier. Clementine turned it over to examine the word he mentioned and furrowed her brows in thought as he spoke. "I'm not sure what it could mean," she shrugged, looking up at him apologetically because she wished she could be of more help. She handed him the picture and bit her lip with worry; she had so many more questions but she didn't know if they were okay to ask and for the first time Clementine was holding back on what she had to say. She usually never filtered herself and just asked things openly whether they made someone uncomfortable or not, but for some reason she was finding that she couldn't do that with Anthony because she didn't want to mess up and have him not like her. She didn't know what that meant, but suddenly an idea popped into her head. "What if we look in the school yearbooks for something named 'Blade'?" she suggested suddenly. It might be a long shot because they didn't know whether his brother still even lived in New Zealand, but it could be a start, there could be some sort of clue to help lead him back to his family.

Anthony appreciated what Clementine was trying to do, and he couldn't have asked for someone better to have walked up those stairs tonight. He gave her a smile and touched her hand gently, "I appreciate you trying to help me." He told her, and he really liked her idea about checking the yearbooks, there had to be some kind of indicator on who it was and if they were his brother. He might even find more of his family by looking in there, and he couldn't place why he hadn't thought of that before. He gave her a smile, and remembered that they weren't supposed to be out here right now. "Perhaps we should get back to the common room?" He asked with a small chuckle. "We can meet up tomorrow at the library to get to the bottom of this!" He said with a determined look on his face, and he took her hand so that they could head back to the common room together, and hopefully avoid detection on their way back.

Clementine was pleasantly surprised to find that Anthony thought her idea was good so she was glad to help in any way. She smiled brightly at him and nodded when he suggested they walk back to the common room before it got too late. If he hadn't said anything Clementine would've lost track of time being out here and probably gotten caught being out too late. She took his hand as he helped her up and smiled brightly. She hadn't wanted to leave just yet because she was enjoying their conversation but at least they could walk back to the common room together and there was the invitation for them to go to the library tomorrow so Clementine liked that. "Sounds like a plan!" she said brightly and began to lead them back to the Hufflepuff common room.
