Red was Hoshi's look today because she was getting tired of all the black. That and she was looking forward to the holidays. She didn't have to go back home she wanted to go back home. Home now was with her muggle grandparents which where always happy to see her. She could work with the chemicals that where meant for hair as well as watch them work within the hair shop. Hoshi liked this simplicity as well as the fact that they didn't much mind her gothic looks.

Hoshi's mother was also looking a lot better now that she owned the ice cream shop. Hoshi would have to make it a point to go there and eat something and that wasn't only because Haruhi (no matter what Hoshi had said about her) made the best treats. She was out on Brightstone weekend like she often was but her eyes seemed to be looking for someone. She knew who of course but there was no guarantee that she would see him. After all they had made no plans to meet him here nor had she talked to him since that day in the Dungeons. Still there was hope. More so since she did not realize that she had gotten over the one with the stormy eyes.

Sinclair was walking in a dazed manner in Brightstone. He had just woken up too early today since all the students in the common room were so noisy about Brightstone weekend. One of his room mates even dropped a large box on Sinclair. He just had to wake up.

Walking along the village, one woman came walking towards Sinclair, telling him that he looked pretty. Not that he was annoyed, Sinclair rarely gets annoyed, but he thought it was awkward. Just when he escaped the woman, he caught sight of Hoshi alone amongst the crowd of people in the place.

He walked towards her. With a rather innocent smile, Sinclair greeted Hoshi. "Hi." When he arrived at the spot, he laughed softly. "I can't believe someone could actually say something so weird to a person she never met." Sinclair explained what just happened to Hoshi and waited for her to reply.

A smile broke the illusion of porcelain that Hoshi had been giving off at the moment. Her features took on a doll like appearance when Hoshi wasn’t really paying attention. She had been trying hard to break that illusion with her sharply lined eyes and dramatic lip color. Sinclair had come on to the scene though he looked just a bit flustered. Hoshi for some reason found his confusion cute. “Hello Sin-Kun hope your day hasn’t been too odd.” She said laughing. She observed the lady walking away and giving her a disapproving look. Most did when they saw her darkish clothes and grave appearance.

Sinclair knew that Hoshi was not melancholy at all but rather the opposite. She listened to him as he explained what happened and Hoshi couldn’t help but laugh. “I so see how some people might see that as rude but she wasn’t exactly lying to you now was she.” She said laughing again then looked down for only a moment. She didn’t want Sinclair to see the slight suggestion in her eyes. He was of Asian origin after all and might think her too forward. Hoshi was not shy by any means but she did know how to keep to customs that where set.

"Oh, if you say so..." Sinclair mumbled, still thinking about the woman. "But when they say that I feel like they're actually saying that I look like a girl. And that's odd." There was a slight sign of irritation in his gaze. But it quickly disappeared as he smiled at Hoshi. "Well, you're pretty too, Hoshi. I wouldn't be surprised if lots of guys ask you in a date." Sinclair meant it as a sort of in-return compliment for Hoshi's compliment about him.

The sun was burning too hot above the sky. It made Sinclair annoyed. "Should we enter the shops, then? It's really bright." he told Hoshi. But just before she could answer, he took her hand and pulled her inside one of the shops. It was a cozy, though not so dark, room. It was enough for Sinclair. He smiled at Hoshi and let go of her hand. "Sorry about that. I hate the sun."

Hoshi laughed kindly at that. "You could never look like a girl Sin-kun." She said as she tucked a hand under her curtain of hair that enveloped her from both sides of her face. Hoshi blushed slightly when Sinclair said that she looked pretty too even though she was sure that he didn't mean it in a flirting kind of way. "Thank you Sin-kun there are those that don't much like my dark appearance." She said with a soft sigh. It was true. Then again she did seem like she was trying to make herself the prettiest goth out there.

Hoshi wanted to ask why the sun bothered him so much but then thought better of it. "Is that why your so pail?" She asked as she entered the shop along side Sinclair. Hoshi didn't know if that would be a bad question to ask but it had left her lips now. There was nothing she could do to take it back.

"Well, you can say I'm a bit too sensitive about that matter," Sinclair said and gave a rather ignorant look. But then again he chuckled at his little lie. "No, I don't like looking at bright things, even people, I might say." he explained, raising his eyebrows as though he was teaching Hoshi. And then Sinclair smiled. "Except for my sister, of course. I grew used to her brightness, and I can't imagine hating her." In that short instance, Sinclair regretted a little about what he said. Hoshi might think that his sister complex is disgusting or something. But well Sinclair is perfectly sure that it's only brotherly love a bit exaggerated. "And Hoshi's dark appearance doesn't matter to me at all since... well, it's dark." he smiled at her. He thought that maybe that was the reason why he wasn't avoiding her. Sinclair didn't know if that reason was actually valid or selfish.

Hoshi liked to hear Sinclair laugh for some reason. It probably was the same reason she liked to hear anyone laugh. Hoshi had liked being funny and making people happy but that reason didn’t really fit why she was paying attention to Sinclair’s laugh in particular. Hoshi let the thought go as he explained that he didn’t like bright things. All aside from his sister. “I know what you mean. I have a brother you see, a twin but he’s a hopeless womanizer. Though he did go after one of my friends and tried to break her heart I still can’t bring myself around to condemning him for it. There was a time when he really was quite sweet.” She said with a sigh.

Hoshi loved Tohoru just as much even though he had left her to prank on her own for a little bit. Hoshi could see that Sinclair truly loved his younger sister. Hoshi laughed. “I like darkness for it’s not evil though people think that because it hides the things that can’t be explained very well. Speaking of dark, have you ever seen anything like this?” She asked walking forward in the shop.

The place was well lit but there was an aura coming from the things that made it seem a bit darker than it should have been. Hoshi took a hold of a severed hand that was wrapped in sutra paper. “A money paw replica how cute.” She said laughing.
