Andromeda left her DADA class and went to get some air. She was feeling really itchy today - like her feet just wanted to go somewhere. She sighed and looked up at the sky, she knew exactly where she wanted to go.
She turned and went back into the school and went up to the 7th floor, passing people on the way and smiling at them. She went to her dorm and took out her broom... Falcon.

She clutched it to her and walked back out to the 7th floor corridor. She chewed her lip now, nervous out - what if she got caught. She hadn't permission to fly she could get into serious trouble. Anxiety racked her and so instead of running off down the stairs to the quidditch pitch she walked up and down the corridor.
She stopped by a wall and sank down to the ground slowly. This so wasn't fair, she thought, she really did want to be good enough for try-outs. She stood again decisively. But almost immediately the indecisive tremors racked her again.
She walked up and down muttering obsessively to herself;
"A place to fly...I just need a place to fly... I have to find somewhere to fly!"

Andromeda stopped from the corner of her eye there was movement, she turned and looked, where there had once been a wall was now a door!
She looked up and down the corridor not sure what to do. Then like a lightening bolt it hit her - The Room of Requirement! She had found it! She was about to run to find Zuka and Brian, when she looked at her broom.

"I needed a place to fly!" she said quietly to herself, she approached the door and turned the handle slowly. She walked in and closed the door firmly behind her.
She stood in awe as there in front of her was the most enormous of rooms - with enough space for 12 quidditch teams to fly. She smiled and jumped up yelling "Yes!" and punching the air with her free hand. She lifted 'Falcon' to her mouth and kissed the cuff.
"Let's see what you can do then!"

Andromeda knew her excitement was tangible and would have to be careful that
she didn't get cocky on her broom. She slowly sat across her broom and smiled.
"Let's fly!" she whispered as she kicked off from the ground.

She glided up diagonally first mounting the vertical strip at a safe height. She lunged gently to the right so that the broom was guided in that direction. She dipped the nose of the broom and leant low to gather speed, just before the ground was at touching distance she pulled up and swerved to the left.
"Yeah!!" she hollered... this was great, not like outdoors where the wind would be rushing into her face but she was flying again!
She glided along a few metres off of the floor, leaning low and tucking her legs behind her - if she was trying out for chaser she would need her speed. She twisted her broom so that both rolled together in a spiral formation, she didn't know exactly how long this room went on for but she knew she was going at some velocity. She did a fast sweep to the right, tipping 'Falcon' upwards so they climbed once more, she went higher and higher before leveling off and gliding about the room once more.
She didn't know how long she was up there for and she didn't care! She was
flying. She did another few rolls and turns, then bringing her broom into a vertical dive once more she began to bring it home. She leveled off at a decent dismounting distance and hovered. She looked about the room and couldn't resist it.
"THANK YOU!" She bellowed out to the magic that had made her possibly the
happiest she had been in a long time. She climbed off her broom and sighing made her way to the door.
"I'll be back!" she smiled then closed the door behind her once again.
