Kenny walked along the street with a few bags in his hands. He'd just done a bit of shopping after getting loads of money off his parents. His mum and dad may have hated the fact that he was gay but they still gave him whatever he wanted when he asked for it. Kenny was quite tall so he looked over the heads of the shorted people and could see a band playing outside a shop a bit further down. They sounded okay but nothing amazing.

Kenny shrugged and sat on a bench by a restaurant. He could smell the amazing food inside but he wasn't hungry. He'd already eaten. Plus, the place looked very busy. The January sales were on and everyone was out shopping while things were cheap. He could understand why but he'd never had money problems as his parents earned bucket loads of money all the time.

Jack walked down Obsidian Harbour, his hands full of bags for Tess, Tess had to be born early in the year, he had spent alot of money on her for Christmas, along with all his other siblings, but now he needed to find something for her birthday too, and it couldn’t be just one thing it had to be alot of things. Jack looked at his aching feet, they were so sore, he had been walking for hours.
Jack soon gave up on walking and sat next to a very familiar boy, he put his bags down with a sigh and started wiggling his toes to try and get the blood back to them and stop them aching so much. He turned to the boy next to him. “Excuse me, have we met before? You look familiar.” He said. “Anyway Im Jack.” He added holding out his hand, if he did not introduce himself then the conversation may experience a lull, besides if he did not find out if he knew the boy of not it would kill him with curiosity.

Sorry I was sure I had replied :erm:

Kenny turned his head away from the shop when he heard a voice. It was a boy about the same age as him. He recognised him but he didn't know where from. Perhaps the school?? That was a possibility. Most people he saw around the school he just recognised the faces of without actually knowing anything about them. Kenny wasn't exactly sociable.

Kenny shook the boy's hand when he introduced himself. "Hi Jack. My name's Kenny." He studied the boy for a second trying to put a face to a place. "I don't think so but I recognise you from somewhere. What school do you go to??" He hoped that Jack actually went to school. It would be slightly embarrassing if he turned around and said he wasn't in school. Then again, he could have graduated from Durmstrang.

“Nice to meet you Kenny.” Jack said kindly, as his father always told him, ‘Your first impression is the one that stays with people.’ So Jack always tried his best to make a good first impression, even if he did not like the person very much it was the polite thing to do, besides it was hard for Jack to be mean to someone he just met. Jack smiled. “I go to Durmstrang, it is my last year finally He said happily, it was too obvious Jack did not love the school he attended, he did not like the classes or anything, to be honest the only reason he went was because his twin went there also, and because he couldn’t stand to attend the same school as his younger sister Tess and there was no point changing schools at the last moment. “I’m guessing you go to Durmstrang also?” He asked curiously.

Kenny nodded. "Yeah. I've been there since my first year. I'm gonna be finished in July. My last year." Kenny couldn't wait to finally finish school but at the same time he was going to miss it. After all, it was so easy most of the time. All you had to do was get school work done and mess around with mates. When you left school you had to get a job and buy a house and earn a living. It was going to take time to get used to it. "I think you've been in a few of my classes." Kenny was starting to like Jack. He was a nice guy so far and he was definitely good looking. Kenny sighed and unzipped his jacket. The sun was getting hot as it beat down. The middle of summer was always the hottest time.

Jack nodded. Jack was very happy to be graduating, he had been there too long. Away from his family too long. When he left school he would be able to spend more time with his family, get a job, buy a house. Sure it would be hard work but Jack was committed, there was no way he was going to repeat. No way on Earth. Jack thought back to a few of his classes, and sure enough he did faintly remember Kenny there. Though not well, in class Jack was not a social person, he preferred to go into his own little world and not listen too much to the teacher. Jack was not a model student, but he still pasted everything he did with high marks. Jack was not affected by the heat. It was hotter than this in Australia, when he went back there in the holidays he nearly melted, and now at school everything was freezing. “So why are you here?” He asked changing the subject from school. Who would want to talk about school when outside?

Kenny shrugged slightly. "Just shopping really. I managed to get a load of money off my parents and decided it was time for some after christmas shopping." Kenny was like a girl in that part of his personality. He loved shopping. Everything he did made it so he had an excuse to get money off his mum and dad and do more shopping. He was fine with it. It gave him something to do at least. Otherwise he'd be stuck at school with nothing to do. He always got all his work in on time with good grades so if he didn't shop he'd then having nothing to fill gaps in his timetable. He couldn't exactly flirt. Last time he tried that, the guy gave him a black eye and a bleeding nose. "What about you??"

Jack listened to Kenny’s explanation of why he was here, Jack’s was quite similar but it was not a choice he either got Tess her present or she would slowly tear him apart. Jack gestured to the many bags he was carrying; most of them contained girl stuff. “I am shopping for my sister, I forgot about her for Easter and her last few birthdays, so she warned me that I had to catch up. I had not realised how far behind I actually was.” He said shrugging, he knew he was not the best brother on the planet but he was there if his sisters or little brother ever needed him that was the most important thing. “It was a sort of do or die circumstance.” He added laughing slightly. He did not mean to paint a bad picture about his sister, but she was not the nicest person on the planet especially when around Jack. The two certainly did not mix well. “She is not a crazy evil person or anything.” He said quickly defending her so Kenny would not think too badly of her, she was after all his little sister.

Kenny laughed. "Girls will be girls. Just like guys will be guys. I always leave birthday and christmas shopping till the last minute and I've never bought an Easter present for anyone." It was one reason why he didn't want to be with a girl. They were so confusing all the time and they kept track of who had and hadn't given them things for birthdays and Christmases. He found it hard to be around them when they were like that. He found it much easier having a boyfriend. "Do you need a hand or have you got it all sorted??" Any reason to do more shopping. Plus, some guys were terrible at buying presents for girls. When Kenny bothered, he was pretty good at it.

Jack nodded. “Yeah I guess, though Tess is more demanding than all of my sisters.” He said shaking his head. “She is such a girl.” He said laughing. “You better hope that you dont become friends with her than, or she would probably drag you out and make you catch up on all the Easters you missed, for everyone” He said. It was something Tess would do. Jack looked at the bags around him. “I am pretty sure I have it covered, though I am sure I could be wrong.” He said thinking about it. He only had a few free days so he needed to get everything he needed. “I think I better count it all.” He said, slowly pointing to the bags one by one. Finding that he was a few short he frowned. “She will be the death of me.” He said sourly.

Kenny shrugged. "Or I could just pretend I get people presents all the time. Easily done." Kenny had done it a few times. In the past he'd had to persuade his parents to give him money by saying he needed to buy presents when actually he just wanted to go shopping. Kenny laughed at what Jack said. "Come on then. Let's go shopping." He stood up and looked at the bags Jack already had. "What does she like?? Is she a girly girl or a tomboy or is she somewhere in the middle??" Kenny found it easy buying for all three. Girly girls wanted clothes, girls in the middle were really easy because you could never go wrong with chocolate. Then there was the tomboys who were very simple; trainers. It was harder when you didn't know the girl though.

Jack nodded, and then laughed. “She will know.” He said jokingly. Jack sighed, he was sure Tess was born because he had done something in a past life that god hated, he was positive and now he had just dragged poor Kenny into the vortex that was shopping for Tess, poor boy had no idea what he had just gotten himself into. “Great...” Jack said sadly, shopping was not his specialty, sure it could be fun but not when you had to go shopping for other people, that was just terrible at least when shopping for yourself it was easier. “Tess is kind of both, the main problem is she is a perfectionist. So her gift has to be perfect” Jack explained, he rarely got her clothes because if one stitch was out of place or if it sat slightly out of line, or if she had nothing it could possibly go with than she would be unable to like it, even if she tried. “That is why she is so hard to buy for, that and she’s a natural brat that hates me.” Jack added shrugging slightly.

Kenny thought about it for a while. Jack was right, Tess would be very hard to shop for. Then an idea struck him. It just depended on whether it would suit Tess or not really. "Does she sew at all?? You could get her a sewing kit so she can perfect cloths that she has a problem with." Kenny was starting to surprise himself. He really liked Jack. Usually he met guys and they were just another person he could either joke around with by flirting, creep out by flirting or get punched in the face by because of flirting. He didn't want to flirt with Jack because he properly liked him. Most people found it weird how Kenny would flirt with every guy on the planet except the ones he really liked but Kenny just saw it as his courage. He didn't have the courage to flirt with Jack.

Jack was quite shocked, he as a brother had never thought about getting Tess a sewing kit, ever, and he was her brother. It was rather amusing when Jack had grown up with her while Kenny had never actually met her and he had thought of a brilliant gift for her. “Kenny I must say you have saved my life.” Jack told him, grabbing his fore arm and pulling him along. “Now to find a sewing kit, dont think you are getting out of this, you are going to help me find the perfect one.” Jack told him, Jack hated shopping alone, it was boring not having anyone to talk to. After all Jack did love having people to talk to and have fun with, he was just that sort of person and boredom was not allowed.

Kenny grinned when Jack said he had saved his life. "Glad to be of assistance." He laughed as he got dragged off by his arm. "There's a place just around the corner. It's not too expensive and they do some really good stuff there. I had to find a sewing machine there once so my mum could have one of her dresses fixed up by her dress maker person, whatever they're called." Kenny remembered the woman being very happy using the sewing machine and guessed it had to be of good standard. Of course, he didn't know the first thing about sewing even though he wanted to. He was having thoughts about being a model after all.

Jack walked around the corner and Kenny was right, there was a shop with all sorts of stuff for sewing, sewing machine, cotton, thread, beads and many other things. “Arnt they called seamstresses’?” Jack asked no-one in particular. Jack walked into the store and looked around, looking at all the sewing machines, they all looked great to Jack but now he needed to think like Tess, what colour would she want? Would she care if it was large or did she want one of the little ones. Jack rolled his eyes and bought one of the little white ones. “She can decorate it herself.” He explained. “If she does it herself then she can’t complain to me.” He said laughing.

Sorry my internet has been dying :correct:

Kenny shrugged. "Don't know. I never ask. They can be called whatever they want as far as I'm concerned. I just want them to do the job they get paid for and I'm happy." Kenny looked around at all the things on the shelves then turned around to Jack when he spoke again. "Good choice. Everything she'd need as well as being easy to carry around." Then he grinned. "No one can complain about having their own decorating to get done. It's great fun." Then Kenny looked around. "Any more presents you need to get her??"

Jack laughed slightly, he agreed with Kenny, as long as someone did their job he didn’t really go around finding out what they were named. Jack laughed again. “I bet when I see her next she will complain about how I didn’t get the right decorations.” He joked, he was sure Tess wouldn’t do that but she could if she really wanted to. Jack thought about it for a while and decided that he had done enough shopping for today, to Jack shopping for his sister was a chore, one that he hated dearly, if she weren’t so picky without being picky then it would be far easier, then again Jack was never good at shopping for his family, friends were different, they were rather easy because Jack knew exactly what to get them and where to find it, too bad sisters weren’t so easy. “I am quite sure that is the last of it.” He said smiling slightly.
