Zazuka was in the owlery because she was trying to find Junie. While Hix had been the carbon copy of her father it was little Junie that got Jinxes love for messing with the school owls. Zazuka was trying to teach the little thing that it was wrong but it didn't seem to be working. It didn't help that Junie had the cutest eyes in the world. He also had the reflexes of a wild cat because as soon as Zazuka found him under one of the taller perches Junie shot out and made his way down the stares as if to call out 'You can't catch me'. Zazuka was about to go after him when Zazuka's legs gave out.

Zazuka was alone so she could show this kind of surrender. It had been happing a lot lately. Her head started to pound. Normally she just went on with whatever she was doing. Zazuka had been though worse than a headache. This is what she said to herself when ever they hit. "You've been though worse, you've been though worse." She was never to let her friends worry about her. They all had their own things, she couldn't be so selfish as to show she was in pain. Here alone she could let herself fall for a little bit.

Her head throbbed so badly it felt like it was about to explode. Why was this happening? It wasn't like she wasn't used to the constant flow of jumbled information that went though her head. Zazuka breathed slowly trying to get the rapid throb to match it. A slow pulse was better than this fast one. It meant that it was almost over. Zazuka closed her eyes hopping that the lack of sunlight would make it go away faster. Finally the pain stopped and Zazuka was free. This was when she noticed that there was an envelope resting in front of her addressed to her.

Alex had been wondering how to tell Zazuka about them for years now. She was planing on looking for her while visiting Mark, while out on her bike, always at some point but she never got around to it. Finally Alex seemed to find the words that sounded just right. She knew that this could go wrong. That Zazuka could regect her and Mortimer who seemed to be getting his own life at the moment. They where about to move into thier own homes finally. Alex would be the one to offer Zazuka a place to stay if she didn't have one. Alex was looking out the window of the Bungalow even though she had sent the letter off hours ago. What if it didn't make it? No the bird she got was very dependeble.
Dear Zazuka,

I don't know how many times I have writen and rewritten this letter. I guess that even though I have never seen you I still want to protect your feelings. I will start at the beguing I soppose. I am Alexandra Bones, Child of Harold and Rosabla Bones, your grandmother and grandfather. I am your aunt and you have an uncle too. I know that life with our older brother may not have been the best but I will understand if you don't want to leave your home. I'm writing this because I want to meet you Zazuka I really do. So does Mortimer. Write back soon I know there is so much to talk about. If you want to talk to us that is. I've always been bad at this kind of thing.

love,
Senserly,
Very Truly Yours,

Alex *smile face with hearts for eyes*

Zazuka read the letter over and over again. It was short but it seems to speak volumes to her. Alex Bones. Alexandra Bones she had introduced herself as. Could this be for real? If it where some sick joke Zazuka didn't think she could take it. For once Zazuka didn't like to be confused. She looked at the bird. Should she write back? There seemed to be some simileraties between them already now that she studied the basic form of the letter. Alex seemed to be stammering even while writing. She had sort of the same loopy writing Zazuka did. And Alex did the same thing that Zazuka did when she sent her first letter to Andrew. She had been so unsure of what ending she should use that she crossed out three before deciding to send it. This made Zazuka smile a bit.

Zazuka sat on the floor of the Owlery now. Should she send a letter back? What if it was a joke by someone particularly crule. Like the kids that killed Njord. Zazuka couldn't take it if it really was a joke. There was too much going on. The thing that hit Zazuka the most was that she did have family. Someone connected by blood that actually wanted to talk to her. Still she didn't go and get something to write with. She needed someone to talk to. Someone that was close. Zazuka held the letter close to her heart though. Someone had, had enough thought of her to send her a letter. That was enough for now.

Ellie was making her way up to the Owlery with a letter from her dad she was still to reply to. A blueberry muffin in her hand, she had saved from breakfast that morning, Jade flying by her left shoulder. She hadn't been eating much lately, and although she didn't feel like it she was trying to force herself to eat it. It wasn't like she was starving herself to be skinny, she just never felt hungry anymore, she didn't feel like there was any need to eat. Stepping into the circular Owlery Ellie smiled as she seen Zazuka was already there, a letter in her hand. "Hey Zuk!" she said cheerily, "Who you writing to?" she asked, searching the shelves of Owl's for her own Tawny, Tiggles. Soon enough she found him and he flew right over to her, perching on her left shoulder and staring at Jade, the tiny fairy who was floating beside him, curiously. Tiggle's large, dreamy blue eyes studied her.

Zazuka looked up at the person who spoke. It was Ellie. Zazuka smiled. "No one but apperntly someone is writing to me." She said holding up the letter for Ellie to read. She didn't know how to react to this yet. She had suffered years at the hands of her father yet here where people that said they cared about her. If that where true then why hadn't they come to see her? How come if they had found out what she had been going though, they didn't take her away? The more she thought about this the more she was starting to think it was all a sick joke.

Ellie smiled at Zazuka and took the letter she was holding out for her to read. Her eyes skimmed it at first, and then she read it again, then again. "Th.. this is from an auntie, you never knew you had.. right?" she asked Zazuka, pretty much getting the gist of the letter. "Oh my god!" she said, trying to read Zazuka's expression. It must be hard for her, learning she had family she had never known about, and Ellie had known nothing about Zazuka's family, but the fact that the letter said 'I know that life with our older brother may not have been the best' made her wonder. "Are you okay?" she asked her, worriedly.
