The fact that Jenny moved away, seemed to simply make matters at Hogwarts even worse. The thought of having to spend another year here without her best friend and take her NEWTs made her more than enraged. Yes, Jake was still here but he was a seventh year, he was going onto better things next year while she was stuck taking stupid exams. The idea struck her to follow Matthew's footsteps, not take the NEWT's and become a rockstar. But for that dream to happen, she needed musical talent and whatever talent she had for music, was kept only to herself. She was pretty sure her mother would try a killing curse on her if she said that she too, wasn't taking the NEWT's - the most important exam in Wizarding education. The simple and unfortunate fact remained, Jessica Reed had to take her NEWT's.

Right now, Jessica needed a friend, someone who she could complain to and that person would have been Jenny but she was gone. Then there was Jacob but the last time she checked he was all over his girlfriend, Kitty or something like that. Really, when it came down to things, she was all alone. As she walked past the library only one thought entered her mind. Miles. She had only briefly met him but that was all it took. She lingered in the library longer than she should most days of the week and the other times she would run over their meeting again for the hundreth time. That chaotic hair, that perfect sense of humour, that winning smile. It was all she could think about and there was something seriously not right about that seeing as he was the school librarian. But a yummy school librarian she thought to herself guiltily. She had only met him the one time but there was many times in the library when she just simply gawked at the man, she was almost one hundred percent certain that he never noticed.

Against her minds objections, Jess sided with her heart and took a glance over her shoulder into the library. Her eyes scanning immediately for him but there was only so much that one could see through the doors. It was ridiculous and she knew that but it was a teenage crush, that was all it was and so she kept telling herself that as she walked over to the open doors of the library. However instead of fully entering them, she just stood there leaning against the door frame casually, however her eyes were frantically searching for just a glimpse of the man that she was pretty sure, would send her heart thundering.
