With a small pop, Carlene suddenly appeared at her destination. Obsidian Harbour. Finally, a fresh beginning, and a new life here in New Zealand. How long she wold be here, she did not know. All she knew was that right now, she needed somewhere to stay. Looking around, she noticed she had apparated right outside Flourish and Blotts, right on target.
It had been scary, apparating so far after only ever apparating over short distances. But she had done it. She had said goodbye to her family and left, at very short notice. She was quite plainly just sick of London, having never been anywhere else in her whole life. And this was the furtherest away place she could possibly have thought of.
She looked around and took in the sights. Not a bad looking place. Quiet, if anything. But it was exactly what she wanted. She tucked her hair behind her ears, and made her way down the road, hoping to find somewhere to stay for a while. Or maybe a job opportunity. She really needed the money.
