Alexander, a young man with the art of magic worshiped as though a god. He practiced daily and meditated hard. He was bent on becoming a Death Eater. As he walked around Brightstone, he noticed a particular inactivity to the place. Nobody was really there. The shops weren't closed. No matter, he kept walking. He saw out a vendor and recieved a butterbeer. He was wearing all black as usual. Everything else didn't fit him.

He walked further down the lane and sat down on a bench. Not knowing that one of the boards were missing he fell threw and spilled his drink over himself. Frusterated, he cursed loudly and began to walk.

Lame post, but I was in a hurry. I'll have better ones.

Mo problem at all :D

Maia was slightly late getting home, the streets were almost empty, which was strange. Still Maia was unconcerned. She had drunk a butterbeer earlier, but was not drunk, just happily merry. She looked up at the sky, the sun was almost set. She really was late. "Hmm, i can call Mam back later, so that she won't worry." Her mother called her regularly, just to check up on her.
She saw a man sit on a bench, with a hole in it. "Sir.." She exclaimed to warn him, but he fell. He cursed loudly, then Maia noticed he had a drink in his hand and began to walk away.

Alexander turned to the girl looking at him as he fell. He wasn't all that impressed with her expression and his mood was completely ruined due to that of the bench. Things today, were not going his way. Frusteration. Anger. He just wanted to have a freak out day. The streets were empty, and there was the girl...all alone. Innocent. Alone. Target. Prey. Alexander put down the hood he was wearing to reveale jet black eyes and hair. His expression was dire. He then said slowly, "Don't...run. Or else."

He walked slowly towards her, withdrawing his wand.

Maia whirled around at the sound of a voice, her hair whipping her face. "Or else what?" she retaliated. Watching the man as he relieved himself of his hood, revealing long, dark hair. "Sorry, but I have no time to chat- I have a life." She took out her wand, and began to walk away, never turning her back to the man. "Nice to meet you sir." She dismissed his threat, lightly.

ALexander's blood boiled as she said the remark. People like her irked him immensely. He clenched his hands together, The tension could have broke the wand if it wasn't enchanted to what he wanted it to be. He started to shake uncontrolably. He just couldn't take it anymore. Everyone was belittleing him. He felt that everyone was against him. That nobody was with him. Her finaly remark made him blow. He just couldn't hold his anger. "Or else, I'll kill you!" He said in fury.

"Stupify!" He shouted.

Maia was ready for him. "Kill me-you couldn't kill a fly!" -Protego- she thought aggressively, the word, whirling through her mind. She brought her wand upwards, a simple flick of the wrist, discarding his spell. "Petrificus totalus!" she whispered, so he couldn't hear, pointing her wand, she watched the spell fly towards him. "Or else I'll kill you-yeah right." She mimicked him. Wand at the ready, she was prepared.

The bolt of light came quick from the woman's wand, however, it didn't come quick enough. She was too far. He quickly said, "Finite Incantantum." His voice was annoyed as well angry. The way she mocked him and thought so little of him. It angered him to an extent he didn't know what he was going to do to her. As he said the spell, he quickly apparted no more than 5 feet from her and shouted, "Immobulus!"

Maia knew this guy was good, but she wouldn't let him know that. He was angry, she knew this, but she could be angry too. "Finishing my spell, ohh classy." She smirked. Then, she saw it before it happened he twisted in mid-air. She knew what was going to happen and shouted "Protego!" just in time. Now her and the stranger were standing face to face. "You're good, I'll admit. It would have worked if I hadn't already fallen for that in my fourth year." She gave him credit for that, it had been a smart move. "Now, seeing as you've been very rude, after I didn't do a thing to you. I'm afraid this must continue." She smiled gently and whispered. "Petrificus totalus." watching her spell fly toward him.

THe woman was indeedly no rookie in the art of dueling. She was just as fast as he, the only way was to stay a few steps ahead in attempt to distract her. He dodged his returning spell, while the binding spell nearly got him. He had to move fast, it wasn't going to end as he wished unless he thought quickly. All of her remarks were angering him, but he stayed focus and controlled. Remarks were indeed his downfall, however, he could get past them.

"I'm afraid this will not continue for very long, my dear. I'm sorry If I've chosen you for my next victom. However, I guess you'll do. "Stupefy!" He said loudly, then quickly apperated behind her, and then whispered, "Crucio."

Maia laughed, this was fun. she wasn't taking this very seriously, she hadn't a clue of the danger she was in. "You're good mister, I'll give you that." She quickly diverted his spell with a shielding charm. Suddenly he disappeared. Maia knew what was about to happen, but couldn't prevent it. "Crucio." The word was like a prison sentence. She suddenly felt pain rip through her body. Her back bent, her neck arched. "Ahhhh" She screamed, the screeching sound reverberating through the street. For a moment she caught his eye, managing one moment of comprehension. "You Bas****" She said softly, before the pain writhed throughout her body once more. She had lost control. She was on the ground now, trying to fight back, using the power of her will, but to no avail.

BTW: How is Maia going to get out of this alive-just curious- :D

OOCOut of Character:
With Alexander's personality, he never kills his opponant unless they've caused him severe harm. He always picks a random person to test on. Then when he's done, he laughs and pitys the hurt, then leaves them.

Alexander was enjoying the fact she had begun pain with his curse. He pressed harder and felt more energy flow threw her body. Her screams were like satisfacation. He had won. Nobody was able to stop this. This was his turn. His fun. She had made fun of him with his spells. Now she was feeling the wrath of Alexander van Laar. He wanted to make himself known. He wanted people to know he wasn't afraid to cause them severe pain for no reason at all. "Feel the pain girl! Remember to never mess with my power again. Tell people of me! I won't kill you, but you are going to suffer." HE said cruely. He watched her suffer. Then presently he let go of the spell. He pitied her state. It was indeed a bit much. He felt he shouldn't just leave her here. HE picked her up and apparated away first to St. Mungo's dropping the body at the door, then away.

OOCOut of Character:
Since the immensety of Crucio is powerful, you'll either need to roleplay a stay in the hospital or pretend you've already been hospotalized.
