Francis decided that it was time he explored some parts of the grounds. He hadn't done so yet, surprisingly, as he had planned to explore from day one. But the castle had proven to be way bigger than he had expected, each floor was fairly big with many corridors, and with classes having started it was a bit difficult to just wander around whenever he wanted. Today was a sunny day, and he figured he would take advantage of it. He had brought his swimming gear, though it was October it wasn't particularly warm just yet. Still, Francis felt like swimming in the lake. He wondered what sort of creatures lived here. He was planning to find out. Right now. Once he had found a spot under a tree he placed his bag down and took off his shoes and his socks, before approaching the water. Then, after assessing where he could jump in from, he took a deep breath and cannonballed.

He had been more than thrilled when he first realized that there was a massive lake they could explore on the school grounds. Hogwarts had seemed as though it was going to suck for the most part, but this was something to get excited about. Eoin fully intended to map out every inch of the lake and document every creature and plant living under the surface before he graduated. He grabbed his notebook and some extra pencils from his dorm before heading down to the lake, planning on making a start on documenting what he might be able to find. At some point, he would need to message home for his snorkel so he could get a proper look at what might be hiding deeper in, but for now, he would stick to the shallows. Start outward and work in. The Ravenclaw was in high spirits about the whole thing as he wandered towards the edge of the water, only to have some other kid go and cannonball right in with a big splash. "Oh come on!" He complained at the other boy, "You're going to disturb the water too much doing that. Everything interesting is going to have swum off. Thanks a lot."
