A Day in The Life

Shopping wasn't a favorite activity for this young Irish redheaded boy. Yet he knew it had to be done and the sooner the better. Rose, his mother, had always told him to get the things that he disliked done first. So that when time came that was free, he could always enjoy the things that he found a good use of his time. Shopping was without a doubt the one thing he hated to do hence the reason he was in the Harbour today finishing up the shopping that would be over soon enough. Not even the fun shopping was being done. The quills, ink, parchment, and books were all items on his list of things to do. Soon after would be the items he actually wouldnt' mind getting such as a wand and a pet. As to which type of pet, Sage hadn't got a clue. His sister had gotten a cat. Sage himself wasn't much of a cat person. Though what type of animal person was he?

Wondering down the streets left foot, right foot, left foot, right foot. Sage wasn't really paying too much attention to where he was going. More so that he was trying to think about where he saw the quill shop and if getting a red quill would be too overused for those in the Gryffindor house. As he walked his long hair which today was let down to it's full length. He was wearing another 'Sage' outfit of just blue jeans and a black tee. His red sneakers almost brighter than his hair, which was truthfully saying something.

Stepping into the quill store, Sage went about his bussiness exiting the store with a bag in hand. "Shopping should be considered punishment" He said to himself as he sat down on a nearby bench his eyes scanning the people that walked by enjoying reactions of those young and old, enjoying simply the interactions between the people.

Darian ran a hand thought his medium length red and black locks. It felt good to escape Adrianna today. He could have swore some one left a bag of crap on her door step with how she was acting. He smiled and debated doing that some day. Unlike most days his outfit was very tuned down. His shirt plain white with a pair of khakies. It was a nice day out. The sun was shining, not a cloud in the sky, and Darian hated it. Thankfully he had nothing important to do today.

He was heading for the bench that he normally sat at to people watch. He wasn't surprised when he saw someone else sitting there aswell. It didn't mind him even though he wasn't in the best of social moods. He sat next to him, folded his hand in his lap, and observed people going by. A cute blonde girl with a mini skirt, a girl with long black hair to her knees, and another girl with copper red hair. Truth be told he was more of a girl watcher. He smiled, happy to have some peace. Deciding it was best to introduse himself he turn to the guy with long red locks and smiled. "Names Darian."

Sage was probably one of the most observate people there were. He liked to stop and smell the roses both literally and not so literally. He watched people around him in a way to get to know them before he really got a word out of them. Which was why when a boy about his own age sat next to him on the bench, an interest was sparked. At first Sage didn't speak. Truthfully he barely glanced at the boy. He would speak soon enough, the silence would be broken at some time. It always was. This time however, Sage was not to break the silence, but the boy beside him.

Turning his gaze over to the boy, Sage stuck out his hand in a greeting. "I'm Sage" He said. The Irish redhead noted the boy's appearance. Smiling at the fact that the boy did not have dreadfully short hair like the rest of the guys around here. It always made Sage wonder if it was unacceptable in this culture to have long hair. Though he was always trying to be on his best behavoirs in other cultures nothing would get him to cut the hair that for so long he had grown out.

Looking away again he glanced at the others passing. "I was just getting some useless stuff for school. Ink and such" Sage said his eyes looking down on the bag that was placed on the ground. Red quill, Black ink, plain parchment. "Apparently a good amount of notes are going to be taken by the amount of paper that was needed" Sage went on almost fishing. He wasn't sure if the boy was going to Hogwarts as well. Pretty common knowledge that people around here were but Sage couldn't be exactly sure. Debating in his mind for a few minutes he realized how much it didn't matter what he said. If the boy wasn't than he may just find Sage crazy. Wouldn't be the first time. And if so Sage would have finally found his first guy going to the school. Finally. After all this place was so full of girls. Not that this was a bad thing in the least though.

Darian was a bit relieved when he replied. He had to admit, the long hair, that was cool. He was tempted to ask how long he had to grow it out for but decided not to. Not a lot of people had long hair here, just him and his cousin, that he knew of. Darian didn't care either way. He was who he was and no one was going to tell him to be different then that. He smiled when Sage started to ramble about school. Darian already knew that most of the paper he had got would go to lyrics randomly scribbled in the middle of class.

With a smile he agreed. "Yeah seems like it, though I'm not much of a note taker." He whipped his head to look at a hot girl as she passed by. Smiling he said, "Unless its something I really, really am interested in." He shook his head and looked back at Sage. For some reason Sage reminded him of a lion. He could almost imagine him roaring. At that Darian started to chuckle. "I gotta say, Its nice having so many ladies around." Darian grinned. "Besides my cousin your the only guy I've met going to hogwarts. Maybe they are just gathered some where we don't know about."
