After waddling around the castle for what felt like hours, it finally sprang upon Elt's mind to wait outside the Slytherin common room for Cairo Savage either to leave or enter it, instead. It certainly required much less effort - though there did pose a risk of the rise having wilted by the time the boy actually passed her. However, she was in luck; spotting his blonde hair, she jumped up immediately and dashed over, so afraid of losing him that she ran faster than ever she had done in all her life... and tripped straight over into the backs of his legs.

Cairo was returning to the Slytherin common room after a hearty meal with Rome in the great hall. He was in a content mood for a change and was pleased to spend the remainder of his day reading until someone collided with the backs of his legs, putting his balance off kilter. He stumbled, nearly falling until the comforting arms of his sister caught him before he could hit the ground. He ran his hand through his platinum hair and gathered his composure, only then staring at the thing which caused him to stumble in the first place. It was too tiny to be close to his age so he assumed they were either a worker or a very unfortunate first year. He stared at them disapprovingly, saying "What do you want?" in as much of a patronizing tone he could muster as the content mood he was in was now completely the opposite.

Elt peeled herself quickly off Cairo's legs, a faint blush rising to her rounded cheeks. The poor rose she'd been carrying looked a little worse for wear with one of its petals hanging off, but it was the thought that counted, wasn't it? Perceiving the boy's tone not as one particularly unusual (either she was often spoken to this way, or thought that he merely had some grumpy goblin blood in him), she smiled brightly and held up the rose, note attached. "For you!" she explained, thrusting the thing towards him.

Yellow Rose Note said:
Dear Cairo,

You're one of the best Slytherins I have ever met. Thanks for keeping me company and for being my friend!

Sincerely,
Charlotte.

As Cairo stared down at the unusually small person, he frowned. When a rose was handed to him his frown turned into a confused look. He was completely con-fuddled to why anyone would send him a rose, as he was not the kindest person. He was also con-fuddled as to why they sent it with such an incompetent delivery person. "Thanks." He said, coldly as he did not genuinely want to thank the thing that delivered the yellow rose. They had done a terrible job of keeping the flower intact as well as keeping Cairo's balance intact as he always wanted to be standing upright. The note however, caused a small smile to appear on his face. It was a relief to know the note was from Charlotte and not someone he despised as much as the rest of the school. It was the only good thing about his interaction with the small person and he hoped they would walk away now that the flower was delivered.

Rome did not like flowers, and therefore she had not sent any and didn't expect to receive one. When she was returning to the dorm with Cairo she was surprised when he seemed to trip slightly, on instinct she reached out and stabled her twin before looking round to the person who had caused him to trip ready to just about throw them to the other side of the room. The person in question was tiny, far smaller than anyone else in the school. She growled at them and glared, even more so when she handed Cairo a rose with a note, as soon as Cairo was done with it, she took the note out of his hands and read it, "Charlotte?" she said incredulously, why on earth was she sending him a rose, who on earth did she think she was. Rome in one quick motion shoved the flower delivery person hard, "Where the f##k is this charlotte girl?"

When all Elt received for her troubles was a flat 'Thanks,' her heart dropped a little. Her encounter with Eleanor had clearly raised her expectations too high. The goblin was about ready to leave the boy and his friend (or sister) to it when suddenly she was shoved hard. The stocky little girl stumbled sideways a pace, her mouth forming a comical 'o' with the indignance of it. How rude! Even goblins didn't shove! Elt balled up her fists and jammed them into her hips. "WHERE IS YOUR MANNERS?!" she asked in return, little chest heaving angrily.

At the girl's exclamation and frowned at her, "First off, it's where are your manners?" and then she grabbed her, grabbing a fistful of her clothes and lifted her up off the ground, "Where the f##k is she?" she continued with a harsh growl, "If you don't know, just say and I'll let you go," the teen threatened with a little shake, she would let this creature go when she knew if she knew where this charlotte girl was, if she didn't and continued to be weird then she would barely be able to contain her anger.

Elt had never encountered such rudeness in all her life - and coming from a village full of goblins, that was saying something. She squeaked as she was lifted straight off her feet, clawing instinctively at the girl's hand on her collar. Since she didn't know any curses, she wasn't entirely sure what was being asked of her; all she knew for certain was that this human was absolutely horrible. "PUT - ME - DOWN - YOU - BIG - UGLY - HUMAN!" she yelled, emphasising her last word with a kick to the girl's ribs.

Cairo should have expected such a furious reaction from Rome. Just as he should have expected her to rip he note from his hands and cause a scene with the weird short thing that delivered it. But he was too taken aback by the kindness of the note until the violence was unfolding in front of him. He shook his head back to the present and moved his hand to Rome's shoulder, speaking to her in a firm tone, hoping she would heed his words. "Rome. It's not worth it. Calm down." He said. "You're too strong to beat on something so tiny and pathetic." His words were honest, hopefully enough to cause Rome to stop what she was doing as it really was more drama than it was worth. They didn't need to get in trouble for something so easily avoided. "Let it be. Charlotte's my friend. She sent me a note. It's not a big deal." He said to his twin, well aware that this was the first time he referred to Charlotte as a friend out loud.

As the little creature kicked, Rome held it away from her body, to avoid too much impact, not that the girl was that strong, but Rome didn't exactly want to get kicked, she had planned to punch her, her free hand already curled into a fist, when Cairo stopped her placing his hand on her shoulder, and she turned to look at him, she narrowed her eyes at him, this Charlotte girl was a friend, this was news to her, she definitely didn't like the girl, and she had been under the impression he had felt the same about her. She didn't trust the other slytherin one bit. But she nodded her head slightly in understanding, "Okay, okay, I'll go make nice with the girl," she told him, before turning back to the creature she held, dropping her to the ground, however before Cairo could stop her again, Rome in one quick motion, curled her hand into a fist and went to punch the young, small creature hard in the face.

Spending her entire life in a dangerous environment had taught Elt many things, two of which included the ability to fall and land on her feet, and the shrewdness to perceive a threat before it came. In this instance she ducked beneath Rome's fist, and, with the element of surprise tipping on her side, administered a sharp kick to her left shin. Much as she might have enjoyed hanging around to catch a glimpse of the nasty girl's face, the part-goblin felt it pertinent then to run for her life. She fled like she would have fled an angry bear, her stout legs carrying her all the way out of the dungeons before she even dared pause for breath.
