Still coming down from the high of catching the snitch and spurred on by her teammates, Sefina tried to focus again. She hoped she could make a second catch before practice was over.
Sefina saw another glint of gold at the end of the pitch. This time, it was the real thing. She leaned into her broom, zooming towards it. She held up the snitch triumphantly, letting its wings flutter against her palm for a moment before releasing it.
Sefina sucked in a breath when Michael's bludger hit her. She gave him a thumbs up and flew off in search of the snitch. At least Lillian, the other alternate, was having better luck.
Sefina waved at Sawyer sheepishly as she arrived to the pitch. By some miracle, her parents hadn't figured out a way to keep her from playing on the Quidditch team. Her grades were still atrocious. Getting back on her broom was the only thing she was looking forward to with returning to school...
