Professor Adler was happy with the way her lessons were turning out, and even though she was already 75% of the way through the school year, the woman felt as though her students were making good progress. She waited for them to take their usual seats, before getting straight into things. "Good morning everyone! Today will be learning another new spell, one that is prevalent in the dueling tournament." These spells often were, but it was still the case. "We will be going through the Trip Jinx, which as you can imagine is good for tripping up your opponent," thankfully a lot of the spells they used, the clue was in the name.
"The Trip Jinx might sound fun, and good for using as a prank, but it also has to be used respectfully. If you're not practicing it in class, then it should only be used in duels." Professor Adler didn't want to see students casting at each other in the corridors, willy nilly. "For this lesson I want you to make your way toward the dummy and practice this spell on it. You can also practice the Jelly-Legs Jinx again from last week if you'd like, but this week I want everyone to at least have a go at casting the spells." Usually students could choose whether to do a practical or theorical lesson, but given that it was clear why someone would want to trip up another person, Geo thought it would be better for the students to use their wands instead of their pens this time round.
