Mania was very excited that her sister was at the school with her now. Her apprehension about going back home wasn't because of her siblings, it was because of her parents. So to finally have one of them here with her, at the place that had started to feel more like a home than any place ever had, was good. Now Gaia may have seemed unapproachable and mean, but to Mania she was her little sister. Someone she'd watched grow up and that meant a great deal to the second year. At the sorting ceremony she'd made sure to cheer for her sister, knowing Gaia wouldn't appreciate it but also wanting her to know she paid attention. Nia would always be there if needed, she'd be someone to reach out if Gaia ever needed help, there'd always be someone who'd hold her if she needed to cry.

"Come onnn Gaipoo, we don't have all day. Well technically yes we do but you know." She said over her shoulder while dragging the red head through the library. Gaia loved creatures, so being the good big sister she was Nia was now showing her the library and more specifically the section that had books about beasts, creatures and what not. The Gryffindor knew her sister loved to draw them, back in Greece she'd always steal the few books the estate library had on beasts and creatures whenever they stayed there. Mania stopped in front of the right section and gestured as if to show it off to her sister. "Ta-da! Am I not the best sister likeeeee ever?" She asked, knowing full well that even through all her chaos she was somehow still Gaia's favourite.

Gaia had tried, and she meant reeaaalllyy tried to dodge Nia's requests to hang out. Her social battery was at an all time low after how exhausting and hectic the last few days had been but when her sister had promised to show her where to find the books about beasts and creatures in the library how could she have refused? She hadn't regretted her decision, not until Mania was dragging her by the arm down the library to the right section. All the Slytherin could do was groan, she'd never admit it out loud but it was an unsaid agreement between the two of them that Nia was her favourite sister. She was everything Gaia wasn't and in all her chaos she was the most special person the first year had ever met. Gaia knew Nia doubted herself and their parents did nothing to help the cause, but she herself admired her older sister, not like everyone admired Hera, but in her own way.

Stopping before the section she was dragged to Gaia blinked her green eyes at it, this would do surely. It should have wayyyy more books than the family estate's library surely. "You are alright... I suppose... But next time you call me Gaipoo, especially anywhere around this school I am burning your favourite cardigan." Gaia grumbled a response before going to pick a book. She found one and took it with her to the nearest table before pulling out her sketchbook and pencils. To her mortification Mania sat right across from her and began her chatting, Merlin help everyone.

Mania grinned in absolute triumph as Gaia admitted she was alright, in Gaia's language alright meant GREAT! AWESOME EVEN! Had they not been in the library the Gryffindor might have let out a small yelp, alas she just waved her arms and did a small spin as her sister went to pick the book of her liking. As Gaia chose a book Nia followed her to the table of her choosing and sat down resting her head on her hands. What? She now had a pet snake, she wasn't wasting that opportunity. "Soo, you'll love DADA aka Defense Against The Dark Arts, that is if you can sit through the talking and stuff of course, You'll probably hate History of Magic because it is a lot of listening, though perhaps if it is just one person talking you'll be fine?" Mania began relaying the thoughts she'd had about each lesson to Gaia who just sat there quietly flipping through the book until she saw the picture she was looking for. Ah a bird of some kind. "Is there any particular reason you chose this one?" Mania questioned, fishing for the name of it while also wanting to hear why this exact bird.

Gaia was half listening to what her sister was saying and half focusing on her mission to find the creature to add to this sketchbook dedicated to drawings of creatures along with any facts about their anatomy or really anything. Her eyes landed on a cute bird that she recognized as a fwooper, they were not only cute but she had a wand with a core made out of ones feather. A small smile formed on her lips as she began sketching the rough outline. "It is a fwooper, I have one of it's feathers as a core in my wand." Gaia explained to her sister and since the door had been opened she began talking more. "They are kind of like you, listening to them will apparently drive you insane." She said raising her green eyes to her sister and giving her a grin. "No but seriously their high pitched song will drive you insane and they were to be sold with a silencing spell. Now I think that is cruel, I know I am not a fan of loud noises or noise at all but silencing charm is just cruel. Just stay away." Gaia herself though didn't mind the sounds of creatures as far as it went. It surprised her but around them she became a different version of herself, where people made her annoyed and anxious animals, creatures and such made her feel at complete ease. Part the reason why she always drew them and couldn't wait for her third year to study the Care of Magical Creatures.

Mania sat listening to her sister and looking at the strokes of her pencil, it never stopped amazing her how good she was at anything to do with art. She was sure if her sister wasn't so inclined to work with creatures and such she'd make a successful artist one day. The Gryffindor grinned when her sister said her talking would eventually drive anyone listening mad. "Meee? Oh no but I am as silent as a mouse!" She pleaded her case, placing a hand on her heart. Though as her younger sister gave her some info Mania grimaced and nodded. "That's quite rude," She couldn't imagine being silenced her own life. Though her mama had been close to casting the charm on her before too. "Woah, I almost forgot what your voice sounded when you weren't threatening me with spiders and such." Mania said and grinned at the glare she received, she was still Gaia's big sister so it was as much her job to annoy the girl as it was to be there for her.

Gaia let out a bit too loud of a snort when Nia referred to herself as 'quiet as a mouse' yeah and cows had brooms and were flying. She gave an apologetic look to one of the librarians before returning to her drawing. Huffing at her sisters comment she decided to not pay it any attention, it wasn't worth it. "Thank you." Gaia whispered after they had sat in silence for five minutes, her drawing and Mania just staring at her. "Thank you for showing me the right section and even though I absolutely hated it, thank you for cheering for me at the sorting ceremony, for reminding me you were there." She explained herself, it had always been so that in their family the sisters looked after each other. She'd been third so she'd always had two of them watching after her and had barely had to look out for the others up until last year, but she rarely thanked her older sisters for what they did for her. Gaia hadn't stopped staring at her sketch, though her hand had stopped for a bit. Her whole body had, as if frozen in anticipation whether Nia would take it seriously or make a joke out of the situation. Gaia wasn't sure which of the two options she'd prefer.

After Gaia's snort of a laugh the sisters fell into a comfortable silence, for once in her life Nia didn't feel the constant need to be talking. She was content just watching her sister drawing. The last year had taught her how much she'd missed Gaia especially. There were quite a few years, four, between her and Hera. It had always been different with Hera anyways because she was so... Well Hera was Hera, but Gaia and Nia only had a year between them. They might have been polar opposites, but they were sisters never the less.

Mania was brought out of her thoughts by a very surprising event, Gaia was thanking her. Mania stayed quiet, letting her sister explain herself before saying anything in return. "Gaia, you don't have to thank me. You know I'm here for whatever and whenever." She said, her voice softening. She'd been all alone last year and she was doing and would continue to do everything in her power to make sure Gaia knew she wouldn't have to be alone in any of the adjustments. "I might be about like eight ish floors above you but you know I'll always be close by and just a small trip of stairs away." She'd have to scream outside of the common room door probably but eventually she'd get to Nia if need be.

Gaia let out an audible sigh as Mania spoke, of course she knew she didn't have to thank her sister, but she wanted to anyways. Her hand began working on the lines of her drawing again as she nodded. "Yeah, I'll keep that in mind then," She said, though she had hoped to be far from Gryffindors eight floors give or take a few still seemed a bit excessive to run up just to see your sister. "You know I'm here for you as well if you need me." The Slytherin added, finally raising her eyes from her drawing to look at her sister. Suddenly it felt important to voice the fact that had he sister ever needed her, she'd be available.
