Hadrian was nervous as he lined up with the others, but when was he not? He swallowed as he looked between Kit and the Beauxbatons players, mostly just relieved this was an away game.

Hadrian followed after Kit. He had been in the team longer, but she had a lot more confidence and he was more than happy to just follow her lead.

Hadrian flew lower, not sure he'd be able to pull off the manouvre but at least hoping to maybe get practice in on the between chaser throws.

Hadrian nodded nervously at Kit, happy to hang back and let her take possession of the quaffle to start. Goodness only knew she was the most aggressive of the chasers.

Hadrian was back for another year of Quidditch, he knew he might not have been the greatest of players but he was there, at least, which had to count for something. Kit was slightly less scary than the previous captains had been, but her threat still made Hadrian swallow nervously and just focus...

Hadrian couldn't see an opening to pass, but the ache in his side from the bludger really threw off his aim and the shot was easily blocked (if it was even anywhere close to getting in the hoop, which he suspected it wasn't).

Hadrian slowed up a bit when he was hit by the bludger, groaning in pain, but quickly pulled himself together to follow the Beauxbatons chaser. He grinned seeing Pearl block again and grabbed the quaffle, hoping for a chance to pass.

Hadrian wasn't so lucky this time, ducking his head as he missed. He probably got complacent.

Hadrian was relieved the Beauxbatons chaser missed, and took up the quaffle to head back down to the other hoops.

Hadrian raced along to the hoops, looking around for Zoey or Melrose but seeing as he had the best option for scoring, decided to take his chances. It paid off, and he gave a small fistpump as the quaffle went through the hoop. That was a relief in front of the home crowd, especially.

Hadrian hadn't really been giving it his all in training, but he wanted to do better today so when he saw his opportunity he swooped in and took up the quaffle.

Hadrian was getting the hang of this whole quidditch thing he felt, at least he wanted to be by now. He raised his hand in greeting at the captains, hoping he'd at least looked like he was pulling his weight a little more last year, and joined the others in the sky once things got going, mostly...

Hadrian had actually been right, the Beauxbatons keeper was distracted by their injuries and by the sly change of possession and he was actually able to get around and score. That was a relief. He thought Zoey might have jinxed him off his broom if he missed that one.

rule 2a While Hadrian didn't relish the idea of taking the quaffle off of Zoey, she seemed to be a bit stuck and Hadrian saw an opening. He'd just have to apologize to her later if he wasn't able to score.
