"Thank you, Nancy," Finn declined politely, "However, I promised my Da that I would return soon to help him getting ready for Christmas."

Finn put the luggage down, "Well Kaela," he said in a begrudging tone, "I am going to go see da now," he continued, hoping to drive the point that it would now just be himself and their Da for Christmas.

"I had better not," Finn said and released his grip on the suitcase. He easily loaded himself up with the rest of the luggage and closed up the car, then walked back into the house.

Upon reaching the car, Finn grabbed a suitcase and handed it to Kale. When the other boy had taken it, Finn held his grip on it, "Listen kid, if you mess this up, you will have to answer to me. My sister has had some real jerks in her life, I hope, for your sake, that you are not another one."

Ignoring his sister's warning looks, Finn continued his steel-eyed gaze at the boy, "That would be nice," he said and turned to go to the car.

Finn's cough seemed to have done the trick; their hug stopped quickly enough. He took Kale's hand in a strong grasp, "Finn." He said solidly, and held the boy's hand in the shake for a moment longer than was usual and his gaze bored into Kale's eyes with a slight menace before releasing the...

Finn stood and listened silently, crossing his arms over his chest. He wanted to leave, but not before meeting this Kale kid. Besides, he still had to get Kaela's things from the car.

Finn met Kaela's look and returned it, rolling his eyes as he looked away. He shook his head at Nancy. "No thanks. I should probably be heading back soon." Finn purposely stayed standing, not wanting to make himself comfortable.

Finn reluctantly slid from the car when Kaela beckoned him and walked to the house. He smiled weakly at Mrs. Thomas as he stepped into the house behind Kaela, stopping just inside.

Finn had left his house quite early that morning in his da's car, Kaela in the front seat controlling the music. He was not pleased with his sister's decision to spend their first Christmas with their ma with a friend instead of her da and brother. But Da had said yes, so there was nothing...

Finn flopped down onto the couch and continued to munch his popcorn. "Oh yeah, I could go plenty of places. But why would I want to when it's so much easier to bug you from here?" He grinned cheesily at Kaela before turning to face the TV.

"You won a cup? Sounds pretty boring to me." Finn walked in muching on popcorn, looking bored as he saw the highly excited Courtney. At least Kaela is actually smiling.

Finn waked into the kitchen and grabbed an apple. After taking a bite he looked over Kaela's shoulder. "Writing Courtney again I take it?" he asked, chewing with his mouth open.

Finn frowned as he looked between the owl and Kaela writing on parchment. "Ma would freak if she could see this."
