Y37 Ilvermorny Quidditch Practice S1

Sticking close enough to Hope that he could fend off a few bludgers, AJ swooped downwards as one passed nearby, trying to knock it toward's Zeke since he seemed to know how to hit them somewhere useful. The hit was only glancing though, and AJ grit his teeth as it curved off course, knocking into @Hyun Ong Hae instead.
 
Zeke was just flying around now, watching for bludgers he could defend against instead. His brow raised as he turned his head, a bludger zooming right by his face. He laughed, giving AJ an encouraging smile and a wink. "You almost had me there, bro," he laughed.
 
Lucas felt bashful and embarrassed after his mess up and tried to tuck more behind Einars position again, feeling safer behind his friend than out in the open where Adam could glare directly at him.
 
Adam hovered between the hoops, keeping an eye on Dominic as he rounded with the quaffle. After that bludger hit, he didn't feel like he'd have to try too hard to block his attempt. Not that he thought he ever had to try too hard with these chasers, of course, but he'd have to try especially less.

Dominic couldn't quite see an opening to pass so he focused on the the shot ahead of him. He made his shot and worried the bludger hit would have affected his aim but that didn't seem to matter as he got the quaffle through the hoop and past Adam. He let out a cheer before turning back to their keeper "You can do better than that!" he teased as he flew by. Dominic knew he was nearly breaking his own rules with that comment but he couldn't help it.
 
AJ wasn't sure how to take Zeke winking at him, giving him another puzzled smile in response in the hopes that that would be an appropriate reaction. He resumed trailing after Hope, swooping forward when he spotted a bludger heading their way and grinning when he was able to knock it towards Eli with a determined crack. @Eli Carter
 
Dominic waited for one of the other chasers to grab the quaffle as it was tossed back into play. He got ready to stay close in case they wanted to pass or needed any help. He had his moment and his arm still hurt from where the bludger hit him.
 
Einar did not like getting hit with one of the bludgers, but he just pushed down the pain, ignoring and flew forward to grab the ball as it thrown back into play.
 
His hand slipped on his broom somewhat as the bludger smacked into him, but the fourth year was quick to right his position again, grumbling through the pain shooting up his left side. And with a shake of his head, he pushed it back down and kept his eyes on the quaffle.

Eli cursed under his breath as he was hit by a bludger, shooting a glare at AJ. Then he chased after it, trying to hit it.
 
Adam glowered at Dominic. Some captain. "I said I was going easy on you." He called back as he tossed the quaffle into play, watching Einar take hold of it.
 
Eli could tell Adam wasn't having a great practice, which meant he was having a pretty good one. The boy was smiling even when he missed another bludger. Adam's bad mood was cheering him up.
 
Zeke laughed, enjoying himself. This was pretty fun, he was glad he'd signed up. He did a few laps around the pitch, deciding to practice his form a bit and let the other boys have a go at pummeling everyone instead.
 
Lucas was quiet, following along after the others. Sometimes he missed sitting in the stands and drawing through Einar's practices, but he would gladly leave it behind if it meant he could stay with Einar when he left school for matches. He watched the others easily, not really planning to get involved right now unless someone pulled him in.
 
Adam drifted from hoop to hoop at a leisurely pace.
 
Hope continued her search and didn't spot anything yet. But than she heard the noice of her nightmare and the bludger hit her in the side. She made an painfull face and hoped it wasn't that time again. She needed to focus and this was only her teammate who hit her.
 
AJ was trying to find the balance between staying close enough to Hope that he didn't lose her or miss a bludger, but not so close that he crowded her. It was tricky and AJ felt a little awkward, swinging weakly as a passing bludger and only really succeeding in slightly altering its course.
 
Hope flew on but noticed the beaters were doing an good job. She was a bit on her guard for another bludger. Those things were bad.
 
Seeing another chance as a bludger shot towards them, AJ angled his broom and smacked the bludger hard, aiming to direct it towards Eli. The bludger seemed to disagree with the choice though, rocketing off at an odd angle and hitting @Lucas Ames instead. AJ grimace, Lucas always seemed more fragile than the rest of the team. "Sorry!"
 
Adam barely stifled his amused snort as Lucas took a second bludger hit. "Good shot, AJ!" He called out. Positive reinforcement, and all that.
 
Lucas cried out when a second bludger smashed into him. He whimpered, curling into himself a moment and trying to tough out the pain.
 
AJ twirled his bat irritably when Adam egged him on. He knew Adam was trying to make him feel bad and it was working. Trying not to look at Lucas too much, he turned his attention back to Hope and any incoming bludgers.
 
Hope continued her search. Not many luck and it lasted already too long.
 
Zeke winced as the little guy got hit again, shaking his head at Adam. What a brat. He rolled his eyes and took off around the pitch again.
 
Adam smiled, quite pleased with himself, and slouched back on his broom.
