Wilfred really shouldn't have been passing notes in class, but he couldn't help himself. It wasn't his fault that History of Magic was a rather boring subject, especially when one of your parents was especially knowledgeable in European history. He was supposed to be setting an example for his fellow Hufflepuffs, but that sentiment flew out the window the moment Professor Binns started on the delicate negotiations of the French and British ministries during 1856. There was absolutely nothing more boring than being lectured to be someone that was likely there at the time of the discussions. Wilfred's parchment was better spent writing notes to his good friend, Aria.
They were on the same broom in many ways, he and Aria, and it was comforting knowing that he had such a good friend in her. His tata teased him about it, as he knew Wilfred well enough by now that he didn't blush when discussing all of his other friends, but the Hufflepuff absolutely refused to listen to his jeers. Really, as a grown man, he should know better. He was almost as insufferable as his younger siblings could get about it.
Wilfred folded up his note carefully when he thought that Professor Binns wasn't watching. It was hard to tell, as his otherworldly appearance made it difficult to decide if he could see through the back of his head, but Wilfred hoped that the professor was oblivious to the fact that a small paper bird found it's way to the other Hufflepuff's table. He quickly got back to work, scribbling notes on how the British minister campaigned for more support, all whilst watching from the corner of his eye as his note reached the intended recipient.
'Do you think he's here because no one considered the implications of giving tenure to a wizard?' Wilfred's note to Aria read in neat, small writing. 'Or maybe it's because he is a primary resource, himself?'
