Personality:
If there was one word to sum up Syr's personality in a nutshell, it would be 'spitfire'. She is quick to anger and quick to lose her temper. She has little patience, especially when it comes to nonsense and over-excitedness. This is ironic, seeing as how her best friend Alexa is nothing but over-excited and filled with nonsense that she spews at any given moment. Pretty much anything can set her off if it irritates her; a slight to her appearance or skills, a direct challenge or insult to her face, or even if someone is speaking too loudly for her tastes can set off her temper. She often regrets losing her temper afterwards, but has very little control when someone sets her off.
But that brings us to Syr's next most prominent trait: loyalty. Syr is steadfastedly loyal to those she views as her friends or loved ones. Note that loved ones does not always equate to family with Syr, because unfortunately she has been betrayed by family before. But once someone has earned Syr's loyalty and friendship, one will find no other who is more dedicated. This can sometimes lead to some over-clinginess and jealousy when dealing with outside friends or interests, but mainly Syr will simply be there for her friends and loved ones, no matter the personal cost to herself. Despite this utter devotion and loyalty she shows, or perhaps because of it, it is incredibly difficult to earn her trust and loyalty. One has to have been a faithful friend for many years and never once wavered in their friendship with her, even when she has gotten angry with them. Syr doesn't want a friend who will simply up and leave her because she was having a bad day and snapped at them or lost her temper. She wants someone she can depend on through the clear weather and the strongest tempest.
Syr also has an unfortunately low opinion of herself, brought by years of her father telling her what a horrible person she was and how she couldn't do anything right. Because of this, she doesn't expect things to go well in her life. If she is about to take a test, she will assume that she will fail it; if she is about to battle, she thinks that she will lose. This often manifests itself in her life as causing her to lose because she will give up before she is really down and out for the count. This often frustrates her when she looks back on her failures, because she recognizes afterwards that if she had simply persevered, she might have been able to win. But in the heat of the moment, she finds it hard to place the situation in perspective and realize that there might be a way her her to win even when things don't seem to be going well.
