Holding on to her niece’s hands as the little girl waited for the waves to lick her toes, Athena stared off into the horizon. It was a beautiful day and the recent graduate was glad that she and her siblings had decided to spend the day at the beach. Athena was always happy with a beach day especially this beach, where a section was kept roped off just for wizards. They’d had to apparate to get here, but it was well worth it. Now that they were all adults, spending time together was proving to be more difficult. Leviathan had a job and a family to support, and Kamaria was always off somewhere. She claimed that it was work that she was always at, but Athena knew better. Elijah was around a bit, but he would be heading back to Durmstrang once September rolled around. It wasn’t like Athena was that close to him anyway, though their relationship had improved slightly ever since he’d helped her find her final Yule Ball dress. She knew that wouldn’t last for long though. It never did. The feel of water around her ankles snapped Athena to attention and she smiled down to her little niece before picking her up so they could return to their beach towels. The sun would still be up for a while longer, but they had been there all day so she figured that the family would want to head back home soon enough. They were supposed to be having a big family dinner, though Athena wasn’t sure the entire family would be present. Her father had sent the younger children off to the manor a few days before and she thought she had heard her father mention that they would be remaining there for a week. She couldn’t be sure though. It had been early in the morning when he had spoken of it, and Athena hadn’t been paying any attention to him. She was glad that the younger children were gone though. Ever since she’d returned to the family home, they had been getting on her nerves, especially Astrilda. The girl would simply not leave her alone. Athena had been on the point of hexing her and risking her father’s anger just before they had been sent away.

“Andy…Let’s find mommy and daddy, k?” she spoke to the little girl on her hip as they headed back. Athena hadn’t yet spotted the beach towel and wondered if they had managed to get thrown off a little by the tide. Finally spotting their umbrella, Athena realized that they had. She made for their spot, stopping once to stop Andromeda from pulling on the string of her pink bikini. At least she hadn’t tried to pull on the tiny stud on her belly button again. That had hurt like hell the first time she’d done it. “Nonono. You can’t do that” Athena muttered to her little niece. As one guy walked alongside the woman and complimented her on her back tattoo, Athena simply kept walking and talking to her niece, pretending to be oblivious to the fact that he was following her. It was obvious that he’d never met a Zhefarovich as they all had the same tattoo. The guy obviously couldn’t or wouldn’t take a hint and kept following Athena until she finally stopped. She was only a few feet from the spot and hoped, for the guy’s sake, that her brother had either decided to go to the water or that he was asleep. On second thought, Athena hoped that he hadn’t. She enjoyed watching her brother’s reactions, so long as they weren’t directed towards her anyway. “I’m not interested, so walk away now. You don’t want my brothers to catch sight of you” she stated rather bluntly. Turning on her heel, Athena finally reached the bunch of blankets and towels that they’d set up. She bent down to put Andromeda down before reaching for the shades she’d left behind and slipping them on.

Kamaria Zhefarovich looked over through her sunglasses as she rested on the towel on the hot sand, one of her hands resting gingerly on Rurik’s thigh. It was a subtle note to the other women on the beach to not look at him, as he was taken. Well, kind of. Kamaria might not have been the oldest of the group, but she looked over her pure-blood siblings, most especially Athena and Elijah. The relationship between Elijah and Kamaria was a patchy one. He claimed to be gay and that was just not going to fly in their family. However her lips curled into a smile when she saw little Andromeda playing. How she had grown in the past couple of years. She was an adorable little girl, and she was sure that Leviathan and Ariah were quite happy. Even then, Kamaria was somewhat envious. She was not married or with child. But in a way, that made her love her life some more. She was not tied down. The former Ravenclaw was not willing to be tied down either, not for a while. The only one that she messed around with was Rurik. On their first date, it ended quite heavily. She really loved that memory.

Upon thinking of where her other younger siblings were, it became apparent that Axel was playing favorites. His pure-blood children over the mixed-blood. That was not entirely right or moral, but Kamaria would keep her mouth shut. She wondered what time it was, and wondered if they should be heading home for the family dinner with that Ivy woman that her father really liked for some odd reason. Kamaria thought that she was nice, but that was about it. She had yet to really grow fond of her. Kamaria looked over to the side and she saw Athena getting some attention from another wizard. She snickered and she muttered, “Leviathan will kill him if he does not leave her alone.” She was fairly certain that Rurik would agree. She had told him enough about her brother, and his dominance over the siblings. However he did not try to control Kamaria. That was what made them so close to this day.

Elijah Zhefarovich stalked around the beach. This was not his type of enjoyment at all. Instead he would rather be at school with his group of friends than be with his siblings, which he was sure that they did not like him that much because of his lifestyle. Elijah wanted to have a family and a knight in shining armor, what more could a boy ask for? At least he made prefect, which made his father smile and say good job, but then walked away. It was probably the worst thing he had ever felt in his life, but he would get over it. At least Alessine seemed to accept him, and Leviathan did as well. Elijah wished that he was adopted half of the time so that he would not have to uphold this huge burden of the Zhefarovich honor. He sighed as he thought over it, and how much of a shame he would be if he came out to the entire family, opposed to just the immediate. It was just that girls did not interest him, boys did. He was first attracted to Caiden before he opened his big mouth but look at how that turned out.

He thought that it was about time for them to get going, mainly because he was just impatient and wanted to get home to eat. The water from the beach washed up on his legs, and he then did not want to get up from the haven of the beach. The people around here were not that good looking, so he did not pay them any mind. Instead, he heard something from his younger sister’s mouth, and he turned his eyes to look at Athena as she was trying to get away from this one man. Levi would take care of that. Elijah shook his head and went back to daydreaming that he was in another family, accepted and just feeling like he belonged. One day, he would get his dream. Elijah just knew it, from the bottom of his heart.

Leviathan Zhefarovich was somewhat relieved to have the day off from watching Andromeda. She was two years old now, and that meant the terrible twos. Levi knew for a fact that she had her mother’s temperament, but that did not mean that she got on his nerves. That much. With his job, he spent some time away, but he often did not get his daily naps like he wanted. Ariah sometimes gave him some sexy naps, but that was at night more or less. Levi was wondering when they would go for baby number two, because it was common knowledge that he did want a son. Naturally while on the beach with his pure-blood siblings, Levi was laying next to Ariah, before he shifted over and he laid down in her lap. His eyes were closed and he paid no attention to the noise around him. He trusted Athena to handle Andy very well. He liked that name that they had chosen for their daughter. It took some time to get Ariah pregnant with her too, and he cherished that. Levi just found himself so tired lately, and he wanted nothing more than to sleep his days away. But Ariah would hate him if he did that so he avoided it like the plague.

He opened one of his eyes to see that Athena and Andy were headed this way and he heard Athena’s little ‘distress call’. Well, that was what it was to the former Slytherin. He patted Ariah’s leg as he slowly got up and he walked toward Athena. Instead of stopping in front of her, he continued and he gave a shove to that man that would not leave her the hell alone. He gave the man a look, and he scoffed off. Levi then whispered a hex before he smirked as the boy ran off, suffering from the stinging hex. Levi laughed a bit before he walked over to Ariah and he held out his hand to help her up. “Come on, let’s head over to dad’s to see if he is ready for that family dinner. I am starving.” Swimming and stuff really took it out of him, so he was in a hurry to get back to his old home. He signaled for the others to come on with a whistle.

Ariah was really enjoying herself today. Much to her dismay, she hadn't been to the beach in years, so it was nice to take the day off and relax with her family. Plus, Athena was being a real sweetheart and was doing Ariah and Leviathan the honor of babysitting Andromeda for a little while. "It's cute to see how much Andy enjoys being with your sister and vice versa." Ariah loved her daughter dearly, but Levi spoiled her to no ends, and that made her quite difficult to deal with sometimes. Ariah tried her best to be a good mother, but it would seemed as if Andromeda saw her as a the mean parent. It was pretty easy to see that she was a daddy's girl, and Leviathan loved that to bits. Ariah glanced down at her husband, whom was laying down next to her, apparently trying to take a nap. That man sure loved to sleep. He was most certainly a very typical man, he loved to eat, sleep, and walk around the house without clothes on. It drove Ariah absolutely nuts. He was awful lucky that Ariah loved him as much as she did, or else he'd never get anything to eat, she'd never let him sleep, and she wouldn't be so willing to let him try for that son he so desperately wanted.

Ariah heard Athena from the distance and watched as Leviathan got up to take care of the problem. Ariah shook her head and hoped that Athena was okay. What a freaking creep. After a couple of moments passed, Leviathan came over to help Ariah up, and she gladly took the help. "You're always hungry, Levi. Just try to stay awake this time." Ariah teased and leaned forward to kiss him. Poor guy seemed to work a lot, but that still didn't give him the excuse to fall asleep during dinner all of the time. "Thanks for watching Andy for a little bit, Athena." Ariah thanked her sister-in-law and went go puck up her daughter. However, it would seem as if Andromeda was only interested in getting to her dad. Ariah sighed and shook her head. Sometimes she felt so unloved, and it was because she was the one that had to tell her no all the time. Stomach growling, Ariah almost laughed when she realized that she too was craving a delicious meal. Her father-in-law was one of the best cooks she had ever met, and Ariah loved having dinner at his house.

Rurik wasn't sure about this whole dinner idea, mostly because he wasn't good around people until he got to know them. For the most part he had been silent around Kamaria's siblings. He knew their names and their basic personality types, but other than that he was clueless. Rurik was also a big weary around Kamaria's brother, despite being older. Men were even more difficult to impress when it came to meeting the family, and Rurik dreaded having the brother or dad ask him questions about his intentions with Kamaria. What could he say that didn't sound bad? He really liked her, not loved because they hadn't been around one another that long, but he did like her enough to meet her family despite hating the idea of it. Plus it would sound even worse if he had mentioned that they had slept together before they were even technically a couple. Their first date had ended wildly, and Rurik worried that it would look bad on his part, even though he was pretty sure that Kamaria had started it by pouncing on him. "Hmm, probably." Rurik muttered as he took a puff of his cigarette and blew out. Kamaria knew he was a man of few words around people he didn't know, so hopefully she didn't think of him as being rude.

Rurik was also pretty thankful that Kamaria didn't nag him about smoking. She might hate it, but he appreciated that she didn't try to control what he did. Rurik put his cigarette out and banished it so he wouldn't litter the beach and glanced at Kamaria. Apparently the brother wanted to head to the old family home and have dinner now, so Rurik wasn't sure what to do now. Were they going to apparate or did they live close? Rurik was still so nervous, he could only pray that the whole dinner would go smoothly, or that the father would be distracted by something else and would pay little attention to Rurik. "Should we go?" Rurik asked quietly. Kamaria might not want to go yet either, so we would have to wait and see what they were all going to decide. Rurik would love to get some food, but for the sake of not meeting Kara's dad, he would suffer through his hunger pains for a couple of hours longer.

Athena gave her brother a smirk as he stalked past her though she wasn’t sure if he noticed it. She could hear what was happening behind her, but rather than stop and watch, she simply continued walking, a laugh on her lips. It served the guy right. Maybe next time he would think twice when a girl told him to get lost. Athena had only just settled herself onto the sand and was considering a long nap when Levi returned and said that they should get going. With a shrug, Athena sat up and reached for her sun dress. "I'm starving too. That sounds like a good idea" Athena stated as she stood to slip it on. Even if she wasn’t hungry, just the thought of her father’s food was enough to make her get hungry. The man was an excellent cook, and one of the best parts of being back home was getting to eat his meals all the time. The girl glanced at the others as she adjusted the dress, rolling her eyes as she watched Ariah and Leviathan kiss. Sometimes, they needed to get a room. At least, Kamaria and her boyfriend weren’t openly displaying their affection for each other. The tall blonde glanced at them and watched them speak for a moment. Kamaria did have good taste in guys. She couldn’t wait for them to have a moment of privacy so she could get the full scoop out of her sister. Athena and Kamaria were very close, but this was the first guy that she could recall ever having met. She knew that it meant that things were pretty serious between the two. At least she thought it meant that. Shaking her blonde hair, Athena turned and spoke to her sister-in-law. "No problem" she stated as she pushed her sunglasses up. She glanced down at little Andy and smiled. She liked playing with her little niece, surprising as that probably seemed to most people. Athena had never had much patience for her little brothers or sisters, but she seemed to have much more for Andromeda.

Looking towards the beach, Athena spotted her younger brother. He was off by himself, as usual. Rolling her eyes, the teenager looked around for something to throw at him, but there was nothing that looked like it would reach that far and she couldn’t be bothered to cast a spell. “Eeeeeeeliiiiiii…Levi wants to leave!” she called out to him as her hands went down to her hips. “Care to join us?” Athena and Elijah were close in age, not as close as Kamaria and Leviathan, but close enough that they had a special love-hate relationship with each other. Athena loved her brother, but he often drove her crazy. Athena knew that she was probably going to start a fight with Elijah for yelling after him, but she was too lazy to walk all the way over to him and deliver the message. Besides, if he was with the family, she wouldn’t have had to yell at all. Really, it was his own fault that he was being yelled at. It wasn’t as if they could leave without him anyway and he knew it too. He was still too young to have taken apparition lessons, so he was going to need someone’s help to get back home. And she was pretty sure that their dad would be upset if Elijah got left behind.

Kamaria fought just jumping on Rurik and letting them go off and have their own dinner party. He was probably really nervous about meeting up with her dad for the first time, but Kamaria looked forward to when she got to meet his. Well, she already knew his dad, but the rest of them, she didn't. Eventually, Rurik will become comfortable with her family as she would his. What really bothered her was the fact that she did not know what to call him. A friend? Lover? Boyfriend? Someone she loved to pounce on when she was alone and feisty? Her dad might try to kill him if she said the latter, but the no labels thing was kind of relieving too. She did not like labels, but she also did not want to risk losing him to some other woman. Kamaria could be a bit selfish at times. He even agreed with her, and she looked away from him for a moment and toward her little sister who was doing such a good job with handling Andromeda. It almost made her want children, but she wanted to be married first. "We can watch and be entertained unless you want to do something else." Kamaria could think of several things that she could do for him, but he was probably hungry right now.

Luckily for him, her father was a tremendous cook. Kamaria learned all of her skills from her dad, but she could not seem to perfect the meat though. Once Rurik put his cigarette out, Kamaria leaned over and rested her head upon his chest. He smoked and all, but Kamaria did not mind. Then Leviathan mentioned something about the dinner and how he wanted to leave. Kamaria looked down at her brother and wondered if they should leave yet. Sighing, she heard Rurik ask if they should go. Truth be told, Kamaria did not really want to go to the dinner because of her dad, but he would have to know about Rurik one way or another. After all, it had been a while. "Yeah, we should probably go. Dad needs to know about you one way or another, and with a crowd, you'll be safer." As much as she wanted to make that sound pleasant, it just didn't. She rose from the sand and slipped on her shorts and a shirt over her bathing suit as she waited for Rurik to get up so they could head over toward her siblings.

Elijah did not really know what to do about this situation. He looked over at his siblings all wrapped around the opposite sex. He let out a sigh and wondered if he would feel the same way one day, or if he would be damned to shame the family for the rest of his life. He was positive that he would end up doing that. Letting the water wash over his feet, Elijah sighed in relief as he wondered how the year would be. Probably full of drama and stuff. He was sure that Caiden would flip his lid again and again. Elijah looked over his hands and body and before he knew it, he heard Athena calling his nickname and how Leviathan wanted to leave. He let out a groan, not wanting to get up out of the sand. However, knowing that being late for the dinner might not be the best. Getting off of his lazy butt, he walked over toward his older brother and sister, before he narrowed his eyes upon Athena. "Nice going with the yelling. I am sure that Scotland didn't hear you, so try again." Elijah was not in the best of moods but he just did not want to go to the dinner thing at all.

Ugh, he hates me today.

Leviathan looked at Ariah as she said how it was cute to see his sister and their daughter enjoy each other's company. He would have to agree, when Andy was not being such a tyrant. She was definitely a Zhefarovich. Although, Levi probably should not spoil her so much. He could not help it really. "I hope that Athena doesn't have kids anytime soon, though. Andy is enough for her too." Like Axel, Levi was highly protective of his sisters. He did not try to get in the way of Kamaria and Rurik though, mainly because Rurik was older and thus, more skilled. Still, he wanted nothing more than the best for his sisters, and anyone he saw was definitely less than the best. That creep just did not matter too much to Leviathan. He was glad that the man was out of the way, and he smirked a bit. He might have been lazy, but he could take care of issues just fine. He looked down at Athena and Andy before he wondered if they were okay. Did the creep touch them or something? Leviathan looked after the man before he figured that the job was well taken care of. When it comes to the situation, Levi would rise. Otherwise, he would laze about.

Making sure Ariah was on her feet, she informed him that he was always hungry which he flashed her a smile to agree with her. He kissed her back, pulling back as he said, "No promises on staying awake." He did not catch Athena rolling those eyes though. Eventually, Elijah walked over to join the family. It seemed as though Kamaria and Rurik would be the last ones to go. Elijah's smart attitude caused Levi to reach other and thump him on the head. "Be nice, Eli. It'd really help if you acted like you wanted to be in the family and spent some time with us for a chance." Levi was exceptionally hard on him, and made sure to let everyone know about it as well. He bent down and picked Andy up into his arms, which she squealed with happiness. "How about we just go and then Kamaria and Rurik can apparate when they finish up or something?" Levi stole a glance in Rurik's direction before shaking his head. He wrapped his arm around Ariah and apparated to the front door of his father's house, expecting Athena to take care of Elijah since he couldn't apparate yet.
