-name- Kurtis Bartholomew Dowey
-etymology- Kurtis is a variant of Curtis which is from Old French corteis and curteis, meaning courtous. His middle name is from Bartholomaios, which was the Greek form of an Aramaic name meaning son of Talmai.
-origin- The Dowey's are an old family all of whom originate from Ireland and usually reside there. Kurtis and his family are a rarity and one of the first to move away from their country, but he always dreams to return there.
-nicknames- He rarely goes by a nickname, but some people call him Kurt which is a shortened version of his first name. Some even call him Barty to shorten his middle name.
-blood status- Mixed Blood. His mother is a pureblood and his father is a half-blood.
-sexual orientation- Undecided. The concept of love is still lost of him and he hasn't quite decided what he would be attracted to.
-birthday- Born a week later than expected, January 3rd 2026 turned out to be his birthdate on a rainy Saturday. He was planned to have been born two days after Christmas.
-age- Kurtis is currently eleven years old.
-sign- His birthday makes him a Capricorn which symbol is the goat.
-element- A Capricorn's element is Earth, though Kurtis would say he prefers the air.
-planet- Saturn is the ruling planet for Capricorn.
-birth place- Kurtis was born in Longford, Ireland and this is where he was brought up with his family.
-residence- He currently lives in Kingston, Tasmania. The family were forced to move due to his father's work and this is where they currently live, though Kurtis would much prefer to be back home in Ireland.
-languages- Kurtis knows a few languages. English is the main one he speaks, though he knows Irish Gaelic and can also knows the basics of French and can hold a decent conversation with little trouble.
-pets- Kurtis has two pets. One is a male Irish Red Setter called Caspar, which was bought for him to try and keep him company as he doesn't have many friends. The second is a female Siamese cat bought to take to Hogwarts with him. The cat was named Chips due to it's fondness to the food.</SIZE>

-playby- Francisco Lachowski
-hair- Short and slightly floppy medium brown hair which he got from his father's side of the family. It is always being swept back out of his eyes, though he usually doesn't let someone cut it back until it really gets too bothersome for him.
-eyes- A dark brown/hazel color which can sometimes have a slight orange tint in the bright sunlight. His eyes certainly came from his mother's side of the family as all of his relatives from that side he knows of have brown eyes.
-height- Kurtis has always been large for his age, never fitting in with everyone else because he was always so tall.
-build- His mother is always fussing about him seeming so thin and insists he needs more feeding, but it just seems he is naturally quite skinny though this doesn't bother him in the slightest seeing as he's quite strong as well.
-marks- Kurtis has an almost cloud shaped birth mark about the size of a grape on the back of his left shoulder. He also has a small scar on the right side of his stomach from where he got appendicitis and his appendix had to be removed.
-personality- Kurtis Bartholomew Dowey has always been rather silent, he has trouble talking to people and most of the time quite likes to just keep to himself. If anyone would have to describe him it would be anti-social, though this isn't the case at all. He does like the company of other people, he just doesn't like talking which has been a problem on many occasion and it is something his parents hope he will grow out of sooner rather than later. The only time Kurt really does start relaxing is when it either comes to Quidditch or class. He likes to think that he's clever and always near the top of the class no matter what subject it is. Being the youngest son Kurt never really get's much attention and most of it goes to his older siblings, but this suits him just fine and is okay not being pestered for things so much as his siblings are.

-history- Kurtis was born on a rather rainy and ordinary Saturday afternoon, one week after he was supposed to have been born, to two proud parents. He was their youngest and final child, finally deciding to settle with three children instead of letting their family grow even larger than it already was. Being the youngest child, it was taught to him early on that he would really need to impress if he ever wanted any recognition, but that was something Kurtis didn't want. He had always been the quiet sort growing up and this worried his parents. Though he was doing well in school and he was near the top of his classes, he didn't have many friends and spent a lot of time by himself. When he was eight years old and it was apparent he was going to be a silent type his parents bought him Caspar the dog and instantly Kurtis brightened up a little and his connection with the Red Setter grew ever stronger. He even became a little more confident as a person and started to open up a lot more and started talking to strangers, but still he remained pretty much friendless.

School became really his only focus and he continued to get better and gain more knowledge. That was until his father's job posed them to make the move far away from Ireland and instead set up residence in Tasmania, a place Kurtis still doesn't really like. His grades started to drop again and soon he found himself becoming silent and rarely spoke to anyone. It did take awhile, but soon his grades got better again and once again sat near the top of the class, but he didn't change. Kurtis had become closed off from everyone and rarely showed himself from his bedroom. The only times he would emerge was for food and to practice Quidditch with brother and sister.

-occupation- He currently attends Hogwarts New Zealand.
-house- "Relaaaax...I don't bite. Let's see...better be Ravenclaw!"
On the day of the sorting, Kurtis was placed into Ravenclaw, a house he was somewhat surprised by, but he finds that he does connect a lot and feels he would fit in nicely. Going into the sorting he didn't have a specific place in mind, he was too busy trying not to be nervous about everything to concentrate on what house he might want. If he could change house he wouldn't want to, he feels like he could make a good home in Ravenclaw.
-best class- Kurtis does best at the subjects which don't require a lot of wand work, though his best subject is Herbology.
-worst class- His worst class is Transfiguration. He finds changing things into something else most tricky.
-hogwarts ambitions- The only thing he really wants to accomplish during his seven years at the school is to ace all of his NEWTs at the end of his seven years and pass with flying colors.
-quidditch- Currently he is not on the house team, but he plans to try out as either a keeper or chaser.
-extra curricular- Kurtis is not a member of any clubs, but is considering maybe joining some.
-patronus- His patronus is a Red Setter like his dog Caspar.
-mirror of erised- When he looks into the mirror, Kurtis sees himself surrounded by friends a family, something he is scared will never happen because he gets so nervous around people.
