A Deeper Look
Jake is quite the mess around guy. He appears not to take anything seriously by the way he treats school work and the girls he 'dates'. In actual fact he has thought a lot about his future and where his career lies, he also cares deeply about friendship. Jake feels the need to have a tight group of friends around him, which he has. Finally, Jake cares most for his baby sister Cecily, he is very protective over her and willing to snap anyone's neck that even thinks of hurting her.
Jake had a mostly happy childhood, when he was four his family celebrated the arrival of a baby girl, Cecily. Over the next eight years of his life he was happy, good terms with his sister and parents. He was excstatic when his parents agreed to let him attend Durmstrang acadamy for schooling. When he arrived there he made friends immediately, unfortunatley they weren't the good kind. He got mixed up in the bad group, a favourite of the leader of it and never hurt, he wasn't completely in the group, more of an outsider at first.. When he was tweve there was a terrible car crash causing the death of his mother and harm to his sister, though there wasn't any long term physical damage.
The crash happened half way through the school year and, as he heard about it straight away but was unable to miss school, he rebelled against his normal behaviour. He became more of a part in the group, joining in with their stunts, until he became the leaders best mate. When the holidays came around, he kept in touch with the guys when he went home. At home he found a pureblood maniac father and a distraught sister. He spent most of the holiday making her feel better, he'd take her out with him when he went to see the guys. At first his group protested but, after a while, they grew affectionate of her and nicknamed her dodger.
For a few years things stayed the same, their father's pureblood ways that had been brought on by their mothers' death bore down on them, making both Jake and Cecily's lives hell at home. Eventually it became the time that Cecily was to go to school, by then the leader of Jakes group had graduated, as had most of the main people who made it bad, and he was now leader with a smaller group of guys., unlike Jake however, she was told to go to Hogwarts in New Zealand. The guys of Jakes group were outrageous with that but there was nothing they could do. The group continued with their, less violent, havoc of Durmstrang. Jake had manage to calm them down, there was no more physical damage being done to people any more, just a load of pranks and messing around with ladies.

Grew up in Ireland, met his future wife in London shortly after graduating Hogwarts and was completely changed by her loving and peaceful nature, but reverted back to his old ways when she died

His paternal grandparents were very strict pure bloods and Death Eaters, insanely loyal and obsessed with the Dark Lord. His maternal grandparents were pure-bloods, but with a very "hippy" mindset, so though they were proud of what they were, they didn't care much for the war. His father was also into the whole death eater thing, that is until he met and fell in love with his mother, who like her parents, didn't care to be a part of such a restrictive group. His mother had never planned to marry another pure blood, but when she met Shane, Cecelia fell in love with his Irish charm. A hopeless romantic, prone to fall into daydreaming, Cecelia also loved to fantasize that they were a modern day romeo and juliet.
