Aurora never wasted any time, she got to the great hall, feeling great. Not at all thinking about how Soren hadn't wanted to come with her and just started dancing.

Kiara was excited for the yule ball, glad she had picked out the outfit she did when she noticed the winter-themed decorations. She had decided she was going to try and step out of her comfort zone a little tonight, knowing the dancefloor would be the perfect place. What was even better was spotting one of her friends there. "Hi!" She smiled at Aurora as she awkwardly tried to find the right way to move to the music.

Aurora glanced up at the person who joined her. "Hey Kiara!" she greeted the girl warmly, and just settled in to dance with her move, not focusing on anything other than dancing.

Kiara looked around as she moved to the music, wondering why it felt odd seeing Aurora on her own. "Is Rosie not with you?" She asked curiously, glancing around the hall to see if she could spot the other girl.

Aurora shook her head. "She's on the Accio team now, so she's working," Aurora motioned vaguely to where she'd last seen her sister.

"Oooh." Kiara nodded at Aurora's response, looking over to where she was motioning but spotting Rosie just yet. "That's cool. Do you miss hanging out with her during parties though?"

Aurora half shrugged. "A little," she said. She missed dancing with her a bit, but she knew she was doing important work. "I usually find someone else to dance with, which makes it easier,"

In her mind it was difficult for Kiara to see Aurora without Rosie or Rosie without Aurora, so it was interesting to see what they thought about being apart now that Rosie was working for the yearbook. "Guess I saved you a search then." She replied with a soft giggle.

Aurora smiled at her, "You did!" she said excitedly, beginning to dance with her.

Kiara smiled as she continued dancing, still feeling a little awkward about her movements. "Do you.. do you think we should get, like.. dates to these things next year?" She blurted out a question that had been on her mind.

Aurora shrugged a little. "If you want one, then yes," she replied. "If you like someone and want to dance with them, then yes,"

Kiara took a second to think about what Aurora said, nodding thoughtfully in response. "That's fair." She said. "Did you ever think of asking someone? Or had a crush on someone?" She asked curiously.

Aurora's mind immediately went to Soren, but she didn't have a crush on her friend. "Not really," she said, "You?"

Kiara shook her head when Aurora returned the question to her. "I don't think so." She replied with a small shrug. "But it's not like I know a lot of people anyways." She added with a soft giggle, very self-aware.

"There's plenty of time to meet people and figure everything out." she reminded her with a little smile.
