Oz was, understandably, not able to get the quaffle past the keeper, even though he did try to be cool and swerve a bit to the side. He really needed to work on that. Still, maybe people who didn't know him would think he was a first year stepping in to cover for someone else and not, you know, a fourth year.
Teddy kept his eyes firmly on the advancing Hufflepuff chaser and the quaffle. Anticipating the throw, he propelled himself into position squarely in front of the hoop targeted by the chaser. He intercepted the quaffle, then pivoted on his broomstick and threw the quaffle back out towards one of his Gryffindor teammates.
As he circled wide a glimmer of gold caught Rāwhiti's eye and his heart leaped into his throat. He didn't waste a moment as he pressed tight to his broom and shot forwards, hand outstretched as the snitch came closer into sight. He stuck to its tail as it zigzagged away, and after a few sharp turns his fingers closed triumphantly around the ball, heart racing with relief. Finally. Rāwhiti let out a whoop of triumph as he spiralled upwards, snitch clutched tight in his hand.
Penelope was looking around as she heard the shout of joy, her stomach dropped and she looked up to see Rāwhiti with the snitch in his hand. Penelope immediately felt tears fill her eyes, she had failed. She quickly looked down so no one could see her cry, flying down so sh could dismount and get out of here quickly.
The game was quick paced but Reeve wasn't expecting that it would end so quickly. But the Gryffindor Seeker was holding the snitch, Reeve confirmed. "Gryffindor wins!" he declared.
