Curved 16 Inch Unyielding Hornbeam Wand with Demiguise Hair Core: Tess' wand is longer in size than typical for many wizards and witches but this coupled with the curved shape provides her wand with character suiting her own although it can be difficult to master for this but also due to the unyielding nature of the wand. She, however, has been able to do so and finds that it leaves her wand with a nice punch to them. The hornbeam wood wand is suited to those with an obsession - a single focus in life - which has changed from science to Quidditch as of late for Tesla. Zara had heard so little of Hogwarts New Zealand except that her father had gone to school here in Ravenclaw. It hurt to ask too much about who he was because she knew only that she was missing him in her life even if she didn't know him personally. With how little foresight she had into this, Zara felt that if it weren't for Lennon being by her side for this it would be a little much to bare. Sometimes a little comfort like his presence did her good even if she would be the first to claim otherwise so that her twin wouldn't tease her at all. So as she returned his smile Zara couldn't help but hope they'd be placed in the same house. Before she had much time to think of how pleased she was for him, she found herself sitting on that same stool.

The girl tapped her feet nervously and looked at the four tables before her. She had read a little about the Sorting Hat and a lot about the houses and knew Ravenclaw would be right for her. Gryffindor was too foolhardy. Slytherin was too ambitious. Hufflepuff was too much a reminder of her mother. While she had a little of each in her personality Zara also refused to be anything but Ravenclaw. Sure she wouldn't fly but she was meant to have wings this way. The witch could only hope this hat had enough sense to realize this too as she'd read that asking helps too. She waited on baited breath to hear.​
