Ainsley had always enjoyed attending school dances, but ever since she and Amber had begun dating, they had only become more special. Arm in arm with her girlfriend, Ainsley looked around excitedly as they entered the Great Hall. "Oh, everything's so pretty!" Ainsley said happily. Over the years she had grown accustomed to living in such a beautiful, magical place, but it still never ceased to amaze her how much more stunning Hogwarts could be made for dances. Everyone around them looked so beautiful too, all dressed up in dresses and suits, and Ainsley could feel the happiness and love in the air. "What do you want to do first?" She asked, turning to Amber.

Amber could have predicted the first words out of Ainsley's mouth as they entered the great hall almost exactly, and smiled to herself. Six years in, and the other girl was still amazed at the decorations each time. It really was quite pretty, and Amber couldn't blame her, but it was just nice to know someone that well. Amber looked around, smiling at the sight of so many pretty dresses. She thought she and Ainsley were dressed quite nicely too, both in different colors that she associated with Valentine's day. "Let's get something to drink?" Amber suggested, glancing up at Ainsley. The girl was hoping to socialize a bit tonight, maybe talk to some people in their year before heading to the dance floor with her girlfriend.

Even with how beautiful the hall and all their schoolmates looked, Ainsley didn't think anything could ever be more beautiful to her than Amber's smile. Smiling back brightly, Ainsley nodded, adjusting her grip slightly to take Amber's hand and give it a gentle squeeze. "Sounds perfect!" She said happily, and began making her way over to the table with Amber. "You look beautiful, by the way..." Ainsley added with a shy smile, glancing down at Amber again as they walked.

Amber squeezed Ainsley's hand back and smiled at her as they made their way over to the table. Dances had always had a magical quality to them in Amber's eyes, but being there with Ainsley definitely made it a lot better. She noticed Sophie with her boyfriend and smiled slightly, glad to see they were still together. Her sister didn't talk much about that sort of thing, but it seemed like he made her happy. Ainsley's words made her blush, and she smiled. "So do you." She said. "I like that shade of red on you a lot."
