Even though Leda didn't really talk to many peoppe besides Mervyn, it didn't mean she was oblivious. In fact quite the opposite. She took it upon herself to know details about people, not knowing when they might come in handy! As it happened, she knew that Accio would often having meetings or be working in the student lounge, and on the off chance that the boy she was looking for was in there, she headed in hopefully. "Vader Hume?" She called out, "What a name.." she added under her breath as she looked around the room for any sign of response.

Vader had finished up delivering his own roses a while ago, and he had kept the three roses he'd gotten in the accio room with the rest. The boy had been surprised with one rose, but three was quite something. He had definitely not expected many. However, as he'd been working, still wearing his own flower crown, Vader had headed up through the halls to the library to grab a copy of an old yearbook for reference, when in passing the student lounge he heard his name being said. He cringed but had to head in to find the person, since he could not have people saying his name out load like that. Vader was largely used to it but he didn't have to like it and if he could prevent it he would. The boy spotted the girl handing out roses easily, "Are you looking for Vader?" he approached her, it was not possible that he'd have another rose, but there was no one in the room who he knew and she was delivering roses, so calling out for someone was how they did it.

Leda turned when she heard a voice, and rolled her eyes at the younger boy. "No, I thought I'd just shout it out for fun." She stared at him for a moment, before digging into her basket with a sigh. Some deliveries were better than others, but on this occasion she couldn't say as though she'd talk to the boy much after this. Just as she was about to hand the yellow rose over, she lifted it up in the air slightly. "Say please." She demanded. There were way too many rude people in the school these days.

Vader frowned a little at her, she was looking for him, so he'd come over and wanted to be sure it was him, "Could you not shout it out please," the boy just looked at the ground between them, his cheeks reddening deeply, more so as she lifted it in the air above where he could reach and asked him to say please. Vader glanced at it, dropping his gaze to hers, searching her face for any indication that she was joking, that this wasn't happening again and then down to the ground when he didn't find it. He remembered that game from muggle school. He didn't like that game from muggle school, too often played on him with his stuff, his bag, his camera. "Please," the gryffindor said quietly, keeping his gaze on the ground, his voice small and nervous. His body seemed to tense a little as he fully expected the girl to ask him to repeat himself, make him say it louder, beg for the rose that was his, hopefully this wouldn't go on too long, wouldn't descend into something worse, Vader had so much to do that day, he didn't have time for this girl and whatever this was with her.

Leda watched with interest as the boy kept his eyesight away from hers. He seemed to respond easily enough to her simple request, but there was something off with his behaviour that the Slytherin hadn't been expecting. So often had she been met with hostility that the sight of something.. else, she wasn't entire sure how to handle it. She swallowed quietly for a moment, before handing the rose over. "I only meant it's polite to say please and thank you." She mumbled, trying to justify her actions as she pushed away the odd sensation of guilt that came across her. He hadn't exactly done anything wrong yet. "Just take it." Leda was getting frustrated now that she was in this position at all, and hoped to leave before things got any more awkward.

Vader!

You’re a cool guy, thanks so much for helping me out with that bully. Let’s skateboard together soon!

Your friend, Abian.

Vader shook his head at what she said, he'd heard that too. When a teacher told them to give it back, they'd say they just wanted him to say please or thank you, and Vader had always been left to finally grab his things and head away. He didn't want the rose any more, but he took it anyway, not bothering to look up at her as opened up the note and read what was written. This rose likely couldn't have come from a worse time, because it made Vader feel terrible. Why could he stand up for others and yet for himself he just wilted. He'd stood up to that bully when she'd hurt Abian but had stood doing nothing as she'd silenced him with her magic, needing someone to come help him. He wasn't cool, Abian didn't want to be his friend, wouldn't want to be his friend. Vader just had a magnet for bullies, for people to make fun of him and it appeared that while it happened far less commonly at school, it was still occasionally happening. Vader hoped this girl would just go away, he felt too near to tears to want to be around someone who'd maybe find that funny. He had other things to do, there was no time for this today and yet, Vader couldn't help the way his shoulders began to shake a little and how unlike a gryffindor he felt. "Thank you," he muttered to the girl, his gaze firmly on the paper, his voice still small, hoping that the politeness she'd sought from him would be enough to get her to leave.
