Y51 End of Year Feast

The end of the school year arrived, and it was the end of the first year as Professor Kalif Styx as headmaster. Styx didn't think that this would be his final year here as he was getting quite comfortable with his position. The students filed in, and the banners in the Great Hall changed to reflect the colors of bronze and blue - for Ravenclaw. They managed to win the house cup this year, though Styx was not at all surprised as he watched the pebbles of points from time to time throughout the year. He stood at the front and waited for the students to go quiet.

"Welcome to this year's final feast. As you can see above, the victor for the House Cup is Ravenclaw." Styx would have had the same reaction (or lack of) for any other house. He summoned the cup and let it float over to Professor Josephs to add to their collection. Now, it was time to announce those that made the biggest difference for the points. "Our top house point earners are, in order from first to fourth, Lilith Ives of Ravenclaw with 610 points. Winnie Calida of Slytherin with 393 points. Bryanna Monet of Hufflepuff with 257 points. Mania Athanasiou of Gryffindor with 250 points."

Once the applause died down, Styx announced, "Since 2067 has ended, I will make the announcement of your future Head Boy and Girl. They are Cyrus Thorne and Ivy Cullen. Other than that, enjoy the feast and I will see you back here first of September." Styx snapped and the food prepared by the elves filled the tables. Styx resumed his spot at the head of the staff table, sipping his tea and keeping a close eye on the rest of the students.

Apolline was looking forward to her final feast. It would be a good one, she knew Gryffindor hadn't won and that she wasn't a top points earner but she had finished her schooling and she was going out into the world. Her decision had been to go to the ministry but she intended to take a year out, to go do something else for a little while. Apolline listened to the professor, cheering for the various people, and then for the head boy and girl that would replace her and her counterpart. She was happy with her schooling, and as the food appeared, eager to move forward.

Magne couldn't believe he'd be a seventh year soon. He had been loving learning about magic and the fact he was in his final years seemed a bit like madness, there was no way he was old enough, there shouldn't be any way that he was old enough, and yet he would be. magne applauded loudly for his house, winning the house cup again, and then cheered loudly when it was Cyrus who'd be head boy next year. That was so good. He was very happy for his friend. When the food appeared he leaned over and smiled. "Congrats man!" he said.

Winnie had to admit she was pretty happy with her OWLs had gone, she wouldn't get the resuls for a while but she felt fairly confident about how she had done with them. Winnie was also happily a prefect and happy that for once she'd gotten the top points, not overall but for her house, her parent would have to be pleased with that. Winnie applauded for the other people and preened at her own name. She didn't care much about who the new head boy and girl would be, given that what she would care about were her own chances in the following year. The food appeared and Winnie tucked in.

Daiki was surprised that his OWLs hadn't elt nearly as bad as he'd thought, he knew he wouldn't get the best grades, but he felt sure that he wouldn't fail any of them, and really that was what mattered. He applauded loudly for the various people who'd done far more than he ever would and then was happy when the food finally appeared. He grabbed some favourites and started tucking in.

Henri Fontaine was looking forward to the break, he had delved down a path recently of being curious about graduations, ever since the one he'd just been to. It was just fascinating to him, the various and differing traditions. he needed a library, a muggle library. He applaud for people, but his nose was mostly in the book in front of him, barely paying attention just following what others were doing. He just managed to get his book out of the way as the food appeared but didn't immediately grab anything. Once he finished the chapter he would.

Tiernan knew the only reason he ever came to the feast was because he was hungry. He didn't care about the people who won points or anything else, he just wanted the food. He boo'd for every person named including the new head students, all of whom were bound to just make his life miserable. He grabbed somethings to eat and was ready to leave the moment he'd had his fill.

Amias had enjoyed his brief stint elsewhere, but being back at hogwarts was good, he liked it. He hadn't made the friends he wanted or really managed to do a lot with it, ut he had had a good few experiences and was hoping that come the next few years they would all get better. He was hoping that come the next year he might make the house team. But for now, he applauded the other for the top students, cheered loudly for the new head boy and girl and then ate his fill gleefully.

Nico Hume had had a good second year at school. He was looking forward to the next, his grades had marginally improved, he would be doing more with accio in the following year and he was looking forward to having more specific classes. All in all, all things he was eager for. He applauded for his house, pleased that they had won again and knew though he hadn't contributed much to it, he hadn't contributed nothing to it. He looked at the food as it appeared ad found the ones he'd grown to really like.

Reyna had had a good first year, her grades nicely average, one good friend, whom she knew to also keep an eye on, and a food host of memories. She was thankful that the year hadn't been a total disaster, which it very well could've been. Reyna glanced at Dash and leaned in as the headmaster began speaking. "Do you think he might be a vampire?" she said. "I heard they're super ugly," the man finished with all he had to say. "Thank merlin," Reyna whispered as the food appeared.

Merrie wasn't sure what to make of her first year but she had been pleased with enough of it. Pleased to have it be over and done with. Pleased that she hadn't completely failed. She was pleased that Ravenclaw had won the house cup in her first year, though she knew they'd won it a few times now in a row. She couldn't imagine getting 600 or anything like that in points either. But then the food appeared and she began eating, though making sure everyone else around her had taken what they'd wanted before her.

Miroslav sat quietly at the end of the table. He wasn't looking forward to going home, he wasn't sure his parents would let him back, he had only come back to school during this semester, and he knew they weren't the most pleased with him. He glanced at the head master, but didn't do anything he might've previous done, just remained silent and vaguely listening until the food appeared. He would figure things out, he always did.

Sofi sat quietly, listening to the headmaster and watching the faces around her. Some familiar ones were graduating but Sofi wasn't quite done yet with one more year left before she would step out into the wider world. She had so much work to do to put herself on the right path for becoming a Healer. Beyond that, her hopes were for a simple life. She wanted love and a family of her own someday and to give her children the love, support, and security that she had missed out on growing up. She heard the announcement for the next head boy and girl and cheered for them both, Cyrus and Ivy were both friends of hers and she was happy for them. When the food appeared, Sofi first took a moment to soak up the atmosphere before helping herself to some fresh vegetables in front of her. She felt as if everything was going to work out in the end.

It was odd to think it was already the end of Mania's fourth year at Hogwarts. She felt as though she'd just been a first year yesterday and now she was pretty much halfway done. Sitting in the Great Hall Mania listened to the newer Headmaster speak, it came as no surprise that Ravenclaw took the win for the housecup yet again. She knew a few of them and their study ethic was just something she had difficulty to grasp at. Then came the part of who'd earned the most house points and Mania gave a loud clap to everyone. "Who do you think will take the most points earned for our house?" She whispered while the Hufflepuff's points were announced. The fourth year whipped her head around as she heard her name and the amount of points she'd gotten their house, her hazel eyes widening. Pointing at herself she looked around quizzically. "Me? I got the most house points for Gryffindor?" She questioned in case she'd misheard. Merlin must have been one bad study year for the Lions.
