River walked into the Owlery and looked around at all of the beautiful owls. Seeing all of them definitely made her want and owl of her own. *Maybe tomorrow I'll go into Hogsmeade and check out some prices on owls*, she thought. River chose a beautiful barn owl perched to her right to deliver the letter that she wrote to her family. She had wrote to them about everything that has happened so far at school. As she walked over to the owl, he stuck out his leg, and she tied the letter to it. Giving the owl a friendly pat on the head she said, "Thank you," and the owl flew out of the open tower window. Deciding that she wanted to start reading her new book, "From Egg to Inferno, A Dragon Keeper's Guide", River left the Owlery and headed back towards her Common Room.
