Waiting Around

Jordy had her bag slung over her shoulder after History of Magic, uncertain whether she should go to the library to get started on some of the reading they would have to do or if it might be better just to go back to the common room with so much of the day left. She pondered this while slowly walking from the classroom out into the corridor, still uncertain of any of the people she should make an effort to get to know because she hadn't yet gathered the courage to make an attempt at conversation or friendship with any of them. They were only in the first week of classes so Jordan didn't yet feel pressured as she walked through the corridor slowly. There seemed to be not much to worry about at Hogwarts and the young Hufflepuff was glad for it even if people might think her constantly worried in the new environment.​

For almost two years, there was one person in the school that Geo felt strong admiration for, and wished she could just go inside and talk to them, and find out about their life without the judgements of both them and any onlookers. She was quietly lingering in a corridor, waiting for any opportunity that they would have a spare moment to give her attention, her own focus distracted and lingering enough that the presence of another student approaching in her vicinity gave her the shock of her life when she spotted her. She tried to act natural, combing her hair out of her face with one hand as she realised who it was. "Er hey. Hi. Hello. Are you okay?" Of course she would be okay, now Geo knew she'd been too obvious about her actions. "Nevermind." She shook her head, hoping Jordan would pass her by without much thought.
