Lyra Potter slipped off her shoes as she walked through the front door of the home she shared with Ezra Cade. It had been an eventful week at school, so she hadn’t been able to make it home in several days. The children were upstairs playing in their playroom with the nanny, and after Lyra kissed and hugged them, she went into the kitchen to make dinner for her family.
