The sixth year slytherin wasn't phased by exams or anything of that sort, he had just played outside after quidditch practice and was on an almost euphoric high, the boy was just so excited about everything, and he'd run about the school, laughing as he did so. Expelling all of the excess energy from his bones. The prefect was supposed to go to Professor Philips later so that he could do more reading with him, but with time to spare the muddy and wet teenager was just having fun. Eventually, leaving a mess of water and dirt in his wake he managed to reach the student lounge, he had a large grin on his face and he was just feeling so pleased with everything, though their quidditch captain wasn't exactly the easiest, Avie was good enough at what he did that often he didn't have to do as much work as the others, he just flew around finding the little practice snitches and generally just having fun.

The teen didn't have anything to do in the room, and so just picked a table that had no one sitting at it, and used a mixture of the tables and chairs to build a slight fort with them, stacking them up and using two chairs to create an entrance to his "castle" within a castle. Avie sat in the centre underneath the table, having to curl up slightly more than when he'd done this before in second year given how much he had grown, but he was excited, he was using the protection and cover it provided him to throw rocks at the unsuspecting victims of the room, and wondered for a moment if he shouldn't grab Bothie, or see if Lucien was free to play because they would so enjoy throwing rocks at all these annoying people. He took a small rock and after a quick aim at whomever was just walking in the door, threw it towards them.

Daisy Parker was incredibly bored. The first year hadn't made many friends yet; well she had friends, just no one that she really stuck to. It didn't usually bother her, but today she was missing her home more than ever. In Kaitaia, Daisy was never lonely. She was always with her mom, and the best days were when her dad was home too. And if her mom were busy, Daisy could go out exploring with her dog, or even just train him to do more amazing things. Gus was very easily trained, and Daisy loved him with all her heart. Her mom would often let Daisy take Gus for a long walk by herself to the beach where they would swim. Daisy loved the ocean, and she was sure Gus did too; or he was just swimming with her to protect her which Daisy thought was the cutest thing. If she had her dog with her now, she wouldn't be sulking around the castle, looking for something to do or someone to do it with. Daisy tugged on her woolen jumper, it being an oddly miserable and cold day for March. She huffed and folded her arms across her chest, wishing she'd made more of an effort with someone - anyone. Someone who she could run up to at any time and ask them to go on an adventure with her.
The Student Lounge wasn't somewhere Daisy often visited. Most of the time she had spent at Hogwarts so far had been warm, so she never saw a reason to lock herself up in a stuffy room when she could be outside. The brunette figured she should be using this time to study; she'd never had exams before but she just couldn't bring herself to sit down and read. Daisy walked into the room, looking around to see if she recognized any faces, someone she could pester or bother. It was times like this that she wished Vex was around. Daisy's self-pitying thoughts were quickly snapped out of her head and she was brought back to reality when a rock hit her. She looked over at the direction it came in and saw a chair fort. Daisy laughed, this was exactly what she felt like! She picked up the rock before hiding behind a chair, opposite the fort. She peeked her head over the top, before launching the rock back at whoever was hiding inside. Daisy looked around her, she didn't have anything else to throw! She'd have to wait for another attack before she could throw more.

Avie didn't much care whom he hit with the rocks, to him it had never been about who just that he could, although he didn't hit Lucien, or Bothie and he'd never hit Esme with a rock, as his closest friend that was just almost unthinkable to him. He like being able to mess around, liked being able to annoy people, well, he didn't see it as annoying them but more just having a little bit of fun, which was always what he did, since to Avie found rocks the most amount of fun. He had a selection of his throwing rocks out in front of them, having carefully arranged them according to throwing size or just how he liked them but didn't have to fish them out of his pocket which would be just an added part to something and he didn't need to worry about such an added step to what he was doing, rather he could just focus on the fun that he was having with the rocks in front of him. Only when there were no more would he even think about pulling more out of his pocket and placing them on the ground to pick, he was after all defending his fort and that required a lot of ammunition and just continuous throwing.

The slytherin prefect was pleased when his rock sailed through the air and hit a girl, he thought she looked exceedingly familiar, though the name really escaped him, rather he just covered himself a little more, since she seemed to notice him and his fort and covered, Avie was very surprised when she seemed to line up to take a shot and then threw the rock back. He giggled loudly at this and then picked up another rock and waited a moment before throwing it back at the girl, which was also followed by Avie taking out a whole handful and then with a simple wingardium leviosa at them, levitated them over to somewhere closer to the girl so that rather than her having to rely upon the rocks he sent her by throwing she had a small selection of rocks that she could throw at him to he hearts content. Avie took another one of his rocks, once the spell was carefully finished and waited till she peaked out, moving to a different spot in his fort for better access and then launching the rock at her.

Daisy couldn't help but return the laugh that had come out of the fort, glad that it wasn't someone who couldn't take what they gave. There were often people who enjoyed doing things that others may not enjoy, but as soon as Daisy gave it back, they ran home crying, or got angry, which could quite often end with Daisy being the one in trouble. Imagine if this person ran to a Professor and told her she had been throwing rocks! She was sure to get a detention or house points removed. Thankfully, the person threw the rock back at her to which she managed to dodge, and then to her surprise, she saw a handful of rocks floating over to her. This person was awesome! Daisy reached out to grab the handful, and flinched as another rock was thrown and hit her. They were probably expecting Daisy to do exactly as she just did! She was going to have to be more careful and tactful. The first year scooped the rocks closer to her quickly before poking her head out from behind the chair, rocks ready. "For Gryffindor!" Daisy shouted valiantly, throwing three rocks in quick succession. She tried to peek inside the fort, catching a glimpse of a familiar face before quickly ducking back behind the chair, picking up another rock from her pile. She tried hard to remember the spell that the boy just used - Wingardium Leviosa. Swish and flick. She took out her wand, and swished it, levitating a couple of rocks over to above the boy's fort, before dropping them. Attack from all angles! It was the perfect tactic.

Avie was pretty pleased that the girl who seemed a little familiar to him seemed to get into the game, all too often people didn't like that Avie was playing and would tell him to stop or to leave, this girl seemed to be getting right into it. Avie loved that, he loved playing and so often no one did it with him, he was left just sitting playing by himself like he used to do during the school breaks and when he just didn't have any friends. Now, he'd almost come full circle he had friends, friends whom he loved dearly, but they were busy with school work that Avie couldn't understand and relationships that Avie neither understood nor thought nice. He was back to playing mostly by himself so playing with someone was a rarity he was really enjoying being able to do. The teen was barely able to dodge two of the rocks with the third meeting it's target with a soft ow in response, but it didn't exactly put him off the game they were playing. The teen, just grabbed a handful, throwing two before having to quickly move as rocks feel above him, he had a little more space that she did, and he picked a new spot, to carefully throw a few more rocks, starting a more rapid fire way of firing the rocks, throwing a small bunch of them knowing that at least one would've at one point hit. Avie knew that rock throwing was likely to get them into trouble if caught and as a prefect it probably wasn't what he should be doing but it was and he was pretty excited to just be doing.

It seemed like multiple rocks being thrown was the idea of the game now, and more than a few landed on Daisy. She let out a squeal, which she knew she shouldn't have; it was a dead give-away of her location! Although she didn't have that big of an area. Though a couple more rocks were being tossed at her, Daisy had an idea. It definitely wasn't fair that this familiar boy had the big fort and she just had a small sofa to hide behind. Daisy formulated the idea quickly in her head, knowing it was probably going to end badly, but she didn't care, she was having fun and running on adrenaline, and it would be the best thing to give herself an advantage. Daisy took two handfuls of rocks, throwing one handful all at the same time, before racing out from behind the chair, using her free hand to launch the rocks from her other hand at the fort, hoping it would cover her, and stop the boy from attacking back. Daisy zoomed across from her side, all the way to the fort, before diving, and crawling into the fort, using her last rock to throw, although gently, directly at the boy. "Stick 'em up! Might as well surrender now!" She exclaimed, a huge smile on her face.

Avie was still throwing the rocks at the girl, moving around so that she might not be able to catch him with the rocks she had thrown towards him, and the boy was preparing another round of attacks when all of a sudden the girl had managed to break his defences and enter into his fort, he couldn't help the laugh which crossed his lips or the look of pure joy which was etched so clearly on his face, he held his hands up like he was surrendering and then realised that he knew this girl, she really was a familiar person to him, her name however escaped him, he'd carved it into the wall, or attempt to after carving his own name and Rockie's name with a whole lot of care, and perhaps it was her name that he had carved too. The teen just laughed easily, "I surrender," he told her, before lowering his hands slightly, "Welcome to fort Avie," he introduced her to his little spot under the table, hidden and protect from the world, a place he'd managed to find fun. The teen wasn't sure how much she would be into throwing more rocks but she had at least joined into a mini fight, "We've met before, I was carving my name," he explained hoping she might remember although still more hoping that she would introduce herself to him again, he then pulled Rockie carefully out his pocket and showed it to her just so she might better remember who he was.

A grin grew on the young girl's face and she pumped a fist in the air to celebrate her victory. Daisy looked around the small fort he had created, impressed that he'd built it. "It's amazing!" She exclaimed honestly. She hoped that he would continue to make things like this and play, there were so many older students that Daisy had seen that seemed to have just given up on life. Her mother talked a lot about when people got older, they didn't have fun anymore, or try to play and it was really sad for Daisy to hear that, she thought that playing was the best and her family often had days where they just played. The young Gryffindor nodded her head enthusiastically, the name of the fort now ringing a bell as he told her where they had met. She looked down at the rock he pulled out, giggling, remembering that he had carved it's name as well. "Yes! You're Avie? And this is, Rock? Rocker? Rockie?" Daisy tried. "And I'm Daisy!" She laughed, not sure if he remembered her name, but it wasn't a huge deal because they had only met once before. "I've never been in here before Avie, do you always have your fort here?" Daisy asked, wondering if he'd want to keep it to himself or if he'd let her borrow it every now and then. It would be fun if the two of them hid in the fort and threw things at unsuspecting people.

Avie wasn't sure how much this girl would remember him, and he was pretty excited about the prospect of getting to know her better so that he had someone else to play with and nodded excitedly at her name, "Avie, Rockie, Daisy," he pointed to each of them in turn as he said this, enjoying the almost rhyming nature of their three names together and he was definitely feeling encourage by the fact she had played with the rocks to then be able to be more like himself, just more focused on playing that anything else. The teen shook his head, "No, most people get annoyed because I use all the chairs I can," he informed her with an almost disapproving tone towards the the people who always took his fun away because they had to "study" and didn't have time for his "childish" games. Avie was sure that this girl was nothing like that, that she was like him and all she really wanted to do was have fun and fun was the top most priority, "Do you like building forts?" he asked her, wondering if that was reason she was playing with him, because like him she enjoy building little spaces to essentially hide from the world, from all the problems and just enjoy the fun of life, after all the wide world was a scary place indeed, in his forts able to protect himself from the people with his rocks, Avie could just relax and leave all the worries which sat heavy on his immature mind.

Crossing her legs, Daisy eagerly listened to Avie. His name was certainly interesting, and she wondered if it was short for anything, and what it meant. She grinned as he repeated all their names, nodding her head as he said them, happy that she had met this boy again. Daisy had enjoyed their first brief interaction that they had previously had, but now he seemed like someone that she would be able to approach and talk to. "Is your name short for anything? Do you know what it means?" She asked curiously. When Avie said that people got annoyed with him using the chairs, she nodded her head. "Yeah, people can be so lame. It's like everyone has forgotten how to have fun!" She answered; this was really the first time Daisy had actually been able to play since arriving at the school. The brunette always played at home, but Avie was right in saying most people got annoyed. No one in the school knew how to have fun. Daisy nodded her head enthusiastically when he asked if she liked building forts. "Yes!" She exclaimed, leaning forward, excited. "I hardly ever build them, I've never done it with chairs before, only outside, but this one is really cool! I reckon we could build it bigger, make like, a castle or something!" Daisy rattled on, the smile never leaving her face, nor the excitement in her voice.

Avie was surprised by her questions on his name, he hadn't had to give his actual name in such a long while the Slytherin prefect had all but forgotten it, he knew that when meeting new people that some would surely be curious, but he hadn't be asked in a long while, people had grown largely used to his nickname just being his real name, "Avery," he replied, "But when I was little I wasn't very good at saying it, so it got shortened to Avie," He didn't know why he explained the origins of his nickname, "Everyone, even the professor's call me Avie," he the hastened to add, since he didn't much like his full name, he just much preferred that name it would be almost odd to hear anyone call him something else. The boy just smiled at her, hoping that she would just use the nickname that was for all intents and purposes his name. Avie had to admit though that as she continued to speak, specifically about make the fort in a castle the boy absolutely on board, "YES" he exclaimed happily, nodding, he went to stand up to full height for a brief moment forgetting he was crawling about and smacked his head lightly off the desks before exiting the fort, "Come on, let's do it!" he called to the younger girl very keen on building this bigger fort, this castle fort she had talked about.
