It was unseasonably warm and rather than stay inside studying like she should, Tess had the bright idea to escape to the lake front. She never brought a bathing suit to Hogwarts seeing as she never stayed over the summer holidays but she almost wished she had as she saw the sunlight shining in the water and how much she'd love to have the first swim of the season there. She didn't know if there was a spell to help her situation but she wished that she knew one as she walked towards in her jandals. The Hufflepuff kicked them off under the shade of the tree and walked towards the shoreline where she dipped a toe into the water to find it was warm too. For a moment she stood there and just sighed, enjoying the sun on her face in a way she missed do desperately. She had almost thought about asking if there was a sun light spell over the winter months because it had been so dreary to the girl who hated everything to do with the cold weather - except how her hair didn't puff up wildly. But with no one's company but her own Tess didn't care about what she looked like as she stood in the shallows of the water which barely reached her ankles from where she stood happily.
