Daintree was bored. There was no better way of putting it. He had of course had a lot to do during the holidays, a lot of his friends were about, he’d had his computer, a whole bunch of memes and games that he’d missed during his year exodus. The slytherin had been to a few parties with his brother and they were just having fun. Now back at school with none of that Dain was bored. He no longer had the endless electronic devices that the muggle world had which provided endless distraction. Here at hogwarts he had his sports, his few books and that was it. Dain sighed a little. He had a tennis ball in hand, bouncing it in front of him as he made his way along the corridor. He eventually found himself just on the fifth floor. He found an empty spot on the wall and three the ball hard at it. Catching it when it bounced back out. He threw it like this a few more times, just finding the smallest amount of enjoyment from trying to catch the ball as it came out. If he hit it too hard against the wall it hurt a little when he caught it, but it was something to do and it was a little fun.

Seeing how fast he could get up to the common room from the great hall had seemed like a great idea until Sully hit about the fifth floor. He'd managed to get up to the sixth floor before the burning in his thighs was too much and he'd had to slow down, contemplating if he should catch his breath or try to make it up the last floor by crawling. He was distracted from his thoughts by the sound of a ball hitting the wall further down the hallway, perking up when he recognized that it had to be a tennis ball and thinking back to his conversation with Amy earlier. Half-hobbling over, Sully was excited to see Daintree with the tennis ball, waving dramatically as he called out to him. "Daintree hey! Chuck the ball over here," Sully called, holding his hands up to catch. "Let's see if we can bounce of it off the suit of armor or something." He said, imagining some kind of elaborate game of handball.

Daintree stopped when he heard someone calling his name and looked towards them, Sully! He was pleased to be friends with Sully, the gryffindor seemed like an easy person to get to know. He didn’t know him that well, they hadn’t had that many deep conversations but that suited Dain fine. He was just happy to be a casual friend to sully. The Slytherin smiled and then passed the ball across to him, ”I’m just bouncing it off the wall for the sheer sake of something to do, so yes, lets just hit the suit of armour,” Daintree replied with a little grin. The slytherin like Sully and knew that he would likely help make this just that little more fun. ”We could have points for each of the things we hit? Like 1000 points if you hit a window, if you smash it, you get infinity and also have to run away,” Dain joked but he was curious to hear what Sully might suggest. Dain didn’t have anything better to do with his time, so why not.

Sully laughed at Daintree's scoring system, nodding as he threw the tennis ball up and down a few times. "Infinity points but like negative infinity if a teacher catches you," He said, sticking his tongue before winging the ball at the nearby suit of armor. It clattered loudly off the armor's breastplate, springing into the ceiling and back down onto the floor with a dull 'thock' sound as it continued to bounce around the hall. Sully giggled at the sound, scrambling backwards as the armor wobbled dangerously, all the pieces rattling loudly on the stand. Sully had never really been anywhere with real suits of armor and he suddenly wondered if they were expensive or old or something. He also wondered why no one ever tried to put them on, but that thought was quickly dumped into a 'for later' pile as the tennis ball continued bouncing. "Quick, quick, catch it!" He motioned to Daintree before the tennis ball could make its way down a staircase or something.

Dain laughed lightly at Sully’s own suggestion. If they were caught by a professor then this would definitely have to end with them likely running away. Dain watched as he threw the ball against the suit of armour. Appreciating the sound that it made when it hit against the armour hard. It was quite a satisfying sound. He watched as the suit wobbled dangerously and then went to quickly grab the ball as it flew off in the opposite direction. Dain caught it before it could go too much further and then jogged back over to where he’d left Sully. He threw the ball up and then caught it again. ”If we break it, do you think we have to pay for it or do you think the magic will put it back together,” the slytherin smiled at him. The boy held the tennis ball tightly and then threw it at the suit of armour’s stomach plate and was extremely satisfied when it made a slightly louder sound than Sully’s hit and made the suit of armour shake every so slightly more. He watched as the ball flew off to the side with a very satisfied and a little smug expression.

Guiliana had just risen, and while it was late afternoon, the Ginger girl felt ever rested. Making her way around the castle, mostly looking for any friend she could make, she heard quite the banging a floor above her and wandered to that corridor to see what the hullabaloo was. Upon seeing boys throwing a ball at a suit of armor, the girl grinned - being an older student they'd probably trust her story after all. Gadget rushed up the corridor and caught the ball as it flew off to the side. "Woah! Are you guys crazy?" She asked, a shocked look on her face. "Don't you know about... the knight?" She asked, lowering her voice and glancing at the suit of armor. The Australian girl handed the ball to the boy closest to her, waiting to see if they bit on her story starter.

Sully shrugged off Daintree's question, not worried too much. "If we manage to break it with a tennis ball it wasn't very good armor if you ask me," He figured if they did break it somehow, it shouldn't be too hard to put it back with magic. Or just run if they had to. But for now, it did make a very satisfying clang when they hit it, and Sully cheered when Daintree managed to nail it right in the stomach before running after the ball. He slowed down, watching the ball bounce over to an older girl who was rushing up to them. Sully was already to be told off, surprised when she seemed more concerned than angry. Taking the ball from her, Sully looked back over his shoulder at Daintree, seeing if he knew what she was talking about. "The Knight?" He asked curiously. There were so many cool things in this castle, Sully wondered if they'd somehow stumbled on another one he didn't know about.

Daintree grinned easily at Sully when he cheered but frowned a little at the girl who now had the ball, who was claiming them to be crazy. He rolled his eyes a little at her, not entirely believing her, if this knight had some story relating to it, they’d already know it. Magic wasn’t that crazy. Dain nodded his head at her, ”Yeah, it follows day, right?” he replied with a light sarcastic tone. They had been playing a game that had distracted him from his boredom, a story from a random girl in the corridor was just going to bore him even more, because why would he want to hear about a story when they could play. They would now get some story from some random girl that would almost certainly be false or if true dumb, because this school and its magic couldn’t help itself from being a bit dumb. He could see that Sully was more interested, but from what he knew about Sully the boy was genuinely more interested in magic and of this place in general. Daintree would be skeptical of the story until someone proved it to be true and given that he had been having fun with a fiend and now was no longer able to just mess around, he was feel particularly not inclined to believe any of it.

The girl tossed the ball against the wall so it would bounce toward the sarcastic sounding underclassman. "Yeah that too, but this it knight with a 'k'." She said, brushing of the other boy and turning her attention to the one that seemed more interested. "This school is like, way old dude," The Australian girl started. "So accidents are bound to happen, you know more than one student has died here right? There's a memorial for one down in the gardens." She commented. "But not one here, because the school doesn't want to admit it has a bad ghost." She said. "Around thirty years ago there was a first year who had made some new friends, older students, who convinced him to hide in this suit of armor - and they'd lead someone by for a prank. But they never came back." Her eyes were intense as she told the lie of a story. "So the spirit haunts the halls like some of the other ghosts, but if anyone bangs on the armor three times it supposedly makes the boy mad, and with that little ax the suit holds, he chops off the hand you banged with!" Gadget wondered if she should be writing books, after all, that story was a good one.

Sully crossed his arms decisively when it looked like Daintree wasn't going to buy into the girl's story. If Daintree thought it was silly then Sully figured it probably was, though he still listened closely as she went into the whole tale. It certainly sounded like something that could happen at this school, and he glanced between Daintree, the armor, and the girl a few times as she spoke. "Why didn't he just climb out?" He asked, squinting at the armor. Sully had done some dumb stuff in the name of a prank, but never something as stupid as just standing around till he died. "Dare you to hit it again, Daintree." He said with a wide grin, wiggling his fingers and miming an axe in Daintree's direction.

Dain caught the ball as it bounced towards him. He listened to the girl, he had seen the memorials to people who had died at the school and looked back towards the suit of armour as the story went on. He didn’t believe it much at all, even if it was probably a likely thing that had happened somewhere in the magical world. He just didn’t think it would be real. The school might not admit to a bad ghost but they would have a memorial to them. Plus from what he could tell about this magical world they didn’t seem that bothered by ghosts so why would they hide this one. He looked towards Sully, trying to gage if he was also much like him didn’t really believe the story. He was pleased when the other boy spoke first and he nodded in agreement before he tossed the ball up lightly and caught. He looked the girl dead in the eye, let himself smirk lightly before he threw the ball full force at the suit of armour. It shook violently and he couldn’t help the satisfied grin, ”Oh ghost of the trapped boy, come out and play,” the slytherin said as the ball bounced away from them. He couldn’t help the light sarcastic tone with her, he just didn’t want her to steal their fun and the story was just ridiculous.

Guiliana shrugged at the question. "He couldn't. Have you ever tried to get in and out of a giant mental suit of armor by yourself?" She asked. She watched the ball bounce off the armor, guessing from the other boy saying he should hit it again, that this was the third time he'd smacked the armor. Her hands had been tucked neatly behind her back thus far, and she'd managed to weasel her wand out of her back packet. "You shouldn't have done that dude." She said, feigning fear. From behind her back and with a whisper Gadget cast locomotor, a spell the boys wouldn't know about if they were under third years. The axe swung down and smacked the floor - no where near any of the boys. She didn't actually want to hurt them. "Back up!" She said, now drawing her wand into vision, trying to hold in giggles and acting protective. "That was a warning swing obviously."

Sully was all for how their game had changed up with the arrival of the girl and her scary story. Either she was lying and he and Daintree got to make fun of her, or she was telling the truth and things were about to get super cool. He smothered a giggle as Daintree taunted the ghost, watching intently as the suite of armor rattled with the hit.
Sully nearly tripped over his own feet scrambling back when the armor actually moved, trying to move closer to Daintree without getting any closer to the armor. "Aw, mean as!" He said, eagerly watching to see if the armor would do anything else. He spotted the other girl had her wand out and wondered if he should get his out as well. Were they about to fight a ghost? Was it against the rules to fight a ghost or was it like a self-defense thing. Either way it would make a totally cool story, he figured, already mentally playing up some of the details of how cool his ghost fight had been.

Dain looked at the girl as she told them it was difficult to get out of, he was sure it was, but that eventually someone would’ve helped, someone would’ve heard, something would’ve been done or put up about it. The boy was a little startled when the suit of armour did actually move after the ball had hit it. He recovered as quickly as he could, looking towards the girl and sully, sully seemed to have been surprised like him, but was more curious than anything. Dain had to think there was something suspicious going on, they’d hit the suit of armour a few times before she’d shown up, why did it now decide to move, any of those occasions could’ve resulted in a warning swing. The slytherin walked calmly over to where the tennis ball had reached, he stood in front of the girl (not seeing her wand at all), right in front of the suit of armour. At least if it was all true and the suit of armour did end up killing him he’d be out of this place and his dad would’ve been mighty wrong about sending him to this place. He looked back round, giving sully a little grin and then back at the girl with a little smirk before he threw the ball again at the suit of armour. He was proving a point, attempting to show off in front of Sully. He wouldn’t back down from this.

Guiliana had gotten what she wanted the moment the hard boy had seemed to fumble his appearance. She laughed loudly watching the two. The Australian girl watched him smack the suit of armor again and only laughed harder. "My goodness stop beating up a suit of armor there is no ghost!" She cackled. "Oh you should have seen the looks on your faces, they were priceless! Man I am a good story teller." She offered before smiling at the boys. "Sorry it just seemed like such an easy prank on some younger students! No hard feelings?" She asked, still smiling wide. "you, you acted so brave. Oh but when it moved you jumped." She said, looking at the blonde.
