Closed Settling Down One Step At A Time

Freya had decided that she needed to settle down for a while after her travels, rather than just continuing on towards other countries. Whilst her search for a job was proving to be more of a struggle than she had expected it to be, the young adult had managed to secure herself a nice appartment. She hadn't been able to get it done all by herself and had been very gratefull for her father sending her some financial support. Freya knew she was his kid and he would like nothing more than to help her out but that hadn't kept her from deciding that once she'd secured a job and would've managed to create some routine in her life once again, she would pay him back. For now she was cozied up on her couch with a cup of coffee, satisfied with how the appartment had turned out. The only thing that still had to be done was for her fireplace to be checked. So, she had arranged for someone from the Ministry to come check it out and was now patiently waiting for whoever that would be to arrive. ​

Rowan was given the order bright early that morning, she had a handful waiting for her when she arrived at the Department of Magical Transportation that day. None of the orders were a cause of great concerns, thankfully. Otherwise, it was going to be one hell of a jump start to the brand new week. Rowan briefly read through the orders, scanning down the parchment. At most, she would be dealing with check-ins and one start-up for a young witch’s apartment. It all sounded doable and she might leave early from work if she got to it right away. Rowan fetched her wand and sent the list flying back against the bulletin board. Rowan checked her wand before leaving, then apparated from the spot. Rowan reappeared again in front of the young witch’s flat, a Freya Odegard would be the current residence to this home. A small Rowan wanders up to the front steps of the said flat and gave a polite knock at the front door. No answer. Rowan tries again, a little louder this time to make sure the witch inside was alerted of her arrival.

Freya had been waiting for a Ministry official to arrive, yet she still managed to hear a knock on the door and not respond. The second time someone knocked she was woken up out of the little, cosy bubble she had been living in for the past twenty minutes or so and shot up from her couch. The young adult put down her empty coffee cup and quickly made her way over to the front door. Not that this took a lot of time, as the appartment wasn't that big. Freya unlocked the door before opening it and smiled at the person in front of her. "Hi! You must be from the Ministry?" She greeted her, stepping aside to let the woman in after she had confirmed that she was indeed the Ministry Official coming to check out her fireplace. She then reached out her hand towards the other woman. "I'm Freya, but I'm guessing you probably had that written down somewhere already." ​

Rowan is politely greeted by a young blonde that looked approximately around her age if she had to guess. She was briefed with a bit of info on the witch prior to coming here. With the very little that she was told it can easily be forgotten with many things she had to remember throughout the day. Rowan would nod happily, “Yes, that’s me!” She moved swiftly inside to get checking on the fireplace. Rowan pause to look around before she formally shook the young woman’s hand. “You guessed right, I’m Rowan Coltsfoot and I’ll be setting you up with the floo network,” Rowan smiled up at the blonde. Rowan pulled out her wand and summoned a measuring tape to make sure the fireplace was properly built for anyone to travel and pass through the portal. It appeared from thin air and shoot itself right into the fireplace to get to work. “How long have you been living here, Ms. Odegard?”
