Rose at the end of a tiring day

Selene was tired and upset. she was trying her best not to let it show but she was maybe the last few sleepless nights was contributing more than she gave them credit for but right now she just wanted to go up to her dorm and not see anyone. not that that would be the case. with the dance tonight the other girls would be busy getting ready. she had finished her roses before going to have a cup of tea with her mum. the professor had done a good job at reassuring her that not everyone got roses and that she still had friends she had left the room and made it as far as the seventh floor before remembering she had forgotten her basket. sighing she had climbed the stairs again only to find someone delivering a rose to her mum. If Professor Le Fey, the divination professor who only had bout five students and who hardly socialised around the school had a rose what hope did she have.
she returned the basket to alice who said she had a couple of roses left to be delivered if shew as willing to. she had already offered to deliver more so she nodded and took them but now she just wanted to be alone. thankfully the two that were left were easy ones. one the runner of accio and the other a fairly popular Gryffindor. She knew where Vader would be. any big event and he would be there with his camera getting pictures for the yearbook. which meant he would likely be in the great hall or the entrance hall. It didn't take long before she saw him. "umm, sorry, Vader" she said as she approached him trying to get his attention,

[Vader Hume]

Vader wanted the evening to soon be over. He so desperately wanted to sleep. it was so close. He was taking some wider shots of the great hall ceiling when a girl approached him. He looked tiredly at them, spotting that this girl much like him seemed a little tired. He gave as much of a smile as he could, "Hey, what can I do for you?" Perhaps she wanted her picture taken, or much like that boy, Wendall, Star, she was curious about pictures and magical pictures. The boy had to at least present to be somewhat functioning until the night was over, he was promising himself to not freak out any more, to deal with his stress without it being too visible. Hold it in and hide it. ​

Selene was glad to have found the recipient of this rose so quickly. maybe just maybe she wouldn't be too much longer before she managed to unwind. and maybe just maybe hse would be able to get some sleep. though she was pretty sure she would have nightmares about roses or lack thereof for at least a week. she took the yellow rose from the basket leaving asteria in there with one red one, two notes and last years copy of the yearbook. "I don't want anything, I just have a" she struggled and managed to stifle a yawn "rose to deliver to you" she finished offering him the rose. "Sorry, I didn't sleep well last night" she said. apologising for the interuption of her last sentence.

 

[Vader Hume]

Vader was a little surprised when she said she didn't want anything, her sentence was interrupted by a yawn and he had to do everything in his might to not yawn too. He couldn't give into the exhaustion yet, he was so tired and ready for this day to be over. Perhaps she did too. He couldn't believe that she had a rose for him. Hadn't they all been given out? When she said that she hadn't slept well. He could attest to how annoying that could be. "That's okay, I can understand that," he smiled lightly, he knew he visibly looked tired. She might understand that he too has touble sleeping and could therefore sympathise and understand.

Selene smiled when the boy said that he understood what it was like to not sleep well. she didn't know if it was something he actually did understand like Kira or if he was just saying that. but come to think of it he actually did look tired too. "thankfully i don't have many left to deliver" she said gesturing to her basket where asteria was now making the most of the extra space all curled up. she gave her a gently scratch on the stomach before trying to extract the note. "there is a note for you, if i can just..." she said as she managed to get the note from under the cat. "this one" she said handing it to the boy.
