Just as predicted, the sharp crack of thunder burst out from the toy she'd hidden amongst the food, and Geo sniggered at the Hufflepuff table as she tried to keep a straight face as the students around began glancing around in confusion at the noise.

A sudden loud crack made Jess jump and her eyes darted around the room looking for the source. All she saw was Geo, sniggering, it seemed unlike her to be the one to set it off but what other explanation was there. "What was that Geo?"

Geo glanced up when someone spoke her name, and she locked onto a girl that made her stomach flip, and not for good reasons. It took the Hufflepuff a moment to get her voice back to respond, wondering why of all times, Jess decided now was the best time to speak to her in over a year of silence. "Erm, I have no idea," she said, failing to keep a small smile out of her face as she pretend to those around her that it was nothing to do with her.
