For the second year in a row, Pia had chosen her best dress for the yule ball which meant she was left to pull together a last minute outfit for the Valentine's dance. It was more difficult that year when considering her desire to keep up appearances with her title as head girl, yet she still managed the task and did not show up to the great hall even a minute after the festivities begun, with her hair styled and her make up as perfect as she could apply it.
Upon entering the hall and admiring the decorations of pink, red and white, she smiled, then stopped at a table of refreshments and helped herself to a glass of red punch. She was thankful for the sweet drink and sipped from it to distract herself from her nerves as she walked to the nearest wall, leaning against it to watch the festivities from afar. This was also not unlike the way she had spent her time during the valentine's dance in her previous school year, but she was happy to attend the dance just to see the happy smiling faces of her friends and peers, and for the sake of keeping up formalities. It was a beautiful night and she had no excuse to not celebrate a holiday that was meant to spread love to everyone.
