Reeve had quick travels on this day and was eating a piece of toast as he watched the stands begin to fill up. There was a big chill in the air, but thankfully no snow or ice on the ground or in the forecast. The sun was fairly bright as well, but still the man had cast a few spells to keep himself warm. He watched the bludgers fighting their constraint, and knew the chill wouldn't stop them. It would be a fun game today, the two schools always put on a good show.

Reeve had already passed by each locker room to go over some general rules to play fair and have a safe game and wish both teams luck. Now, all that was left was to wait as the teams finished their final preparations.

OOCOut of Character:
Arrivals only please. At this time, every player should familiarize themselves with the rules if they have not done so already.

Hope was nervous and excited for today. She was glad that the practice turned out well after all, but now was the time to show it. She didn't know how she would act to all the boys in her team if she lost again. And hopefully the bludgers were kind to her today. She didn't had luck with them previous games. The brunette took her broom and walked on the pitch. She waited for her team and the captains to join her, but she was ready to begin.

Mualla admittedly was a little nervous about today's match. Today would be the first time most of her new teammates would be playing a real match of Quidditch against a team that was by far more well-balanced than they were at the moment. Still, seeing as how well they played during their last practice together, she did not see a reason to believe that they were hopeless here today. If the Chasers could do their thing again and the Beaters could be just as relentless as they had been back then, it was up to the Seeker to catch the snitch before opposing team's Seeker could do so. They had a shot even if it seemed small right now, she believed in them. Mualla turned to face the members of the Beauxbatons Quidditch team and smiled at them. ''Listen up everybody,'' she said, making sure to get everyone's attention. ''We have trained for this and, historically seeing, we have got this in the bag. Let's give this everything, alright?'' She then handed in the line-up to the referee.

Lucas was always nervous when they actually had to play Beauxbatons. Knowing Dawson was most likely watching made it worse. He stuck close to Einar as they walked onto the pitch, not bothering to even look at Adam, since Lucas knew that Adam would most likely mock him before the game even began. He swallowed nervously as they waited, holding his broom tightly.

Zeke sauntered out onto the pitch with the others. He knew he was most likely not going to play today, but he didn't mind so much. He still enjoyed watching the others play. He smiled at the other team, scooting closer and greeting one of them in perfect french. "Hey! Looking forward to a good game today," He greeted brightly. "I've heard you guys are a good team, it'll be fun to see everyone play," He chattered, looking over to Dominic and smiling. "I'm Zeke, by the way," He offered, holding his broom over his shoulders while he waited for the line ups to be announced and the game to begin.

AJ was kind of glad they were playing at Ilvermorny today. Quidditch wasn't that popular in the US, but he hoped the home field would give them a tiny advantage, even if it was just in their heads. Feeling energized between his own pre-game nerves and the chill in the air, AJ swung his arms to warm up as the teams got ready to play.

Part of the appeal of joining the quidditch team for Aramis, beyond being able to hang out with his friends, was definitely the chance to travel to places like the States. He'd never been outside of Europe and stepping out of the locker room into the cool air was a pretty fun moment. Listening to Mualla's pep talk, Aramis gave Hugo a nudge when he realized Hugo would be playing today. "Time to put your money where your mouth is, huh?" He said quietly to Hugo, as they waited for the match to start.

Gabrielle was excited for her first match as a part of the team, even more so when they were the ones that got to travel to another country. Even if they lost that was a pretty solid bonus. She didn't plan on losing though, didn't want to lose, and figured that as long as the chasers played like they did at practice at least she knew they were doing their job right. Gaby smiled as she stood with the others, listening to Mualla's words and eagerly nodding when she told them to give it everything they got.

Édelie was nervous for her first game but felt like they had ended their last practice on a good note. Gaby and she seemed to have a good report that she hoped to keep up during today's game. The American team looked non-threatening, but she wasn't going to put it past them, seeing as her own team attacked each other with bludgers. She made her way onto the field, smiling as Mualla greeted them and then looked at Gaby. "We can do this, right?" she said, trying to sound reassured. @Gabrielle Perrault

Dominic had been relieved when he found out the game was going to be held at Ilvermorny this year. He hoped the home field advantage would be just what they needed to finally win. He smiled and waved politely at the Beauxbaton's captain before addressing the rest of the team. "Hey! Everyone lets gather around." he called out. Once the team had assembled he tried to put on a serious face before his pep talk. "Alright, the day is finally here. Beauxbatons had beaten us in the past but I see a lot of new faces year. But we can't underestimate them." he said seriously. "I want everyone to try their best and play just like we practiced. We got this!" he cheered, before handing the line up to the referee. He was feeling good but was scared to get too hopeful. They had worked hard for this but he had felt hopeful before, now they just had to play and find out.

Gemma was thrilled that the game was finally here. Being at Ilvermorny was surreal and while she was more than likely destined to sit on the bench the entire time she was ready to make the most of it. She was at least glad Hugo would be playing this time.

Reeve gave the captains an encouraging smile before taking a look at their lineups. All seemed in order so he placed them in his pockets and continued. Reeve cast the sonorus charm before speaking. "I expect that all of the captains have reviewed the rules with their teams prior. Beauxbatons, you will be Keeping the North hoops. Ilvermorny, you'll be guarding the South hoops. Please get back to your teams, mount your brooms, and prepare to fly!"

With that Reeve opened the game chest and released the snitch. It flew off quickly as did the bludgers when he released them, which was surprising to him considering they'd been fighting their restraints for the last ten minutes. Reeve grabbed the quaffle and then mounted his own broom, kicking off quickly. When he was high enough, he tossed the quaffle into the air. "Game on!" he declared.

OOCOut of Character: Game Notes - please read

1. Be sure to review the rules. Any questions regarding the rules should be sent to your captain(s). If they cannot answer, they can PM me.

2. If you have any issues seeing the score on the referee's first post or with your access to the quidditch system, please send a PM including both me and your captain(s). It may be that they've forgotten to add you to the system or may be a bigger issue.

3. Dont forget to refresh the page before you post! Someone might sneak in a post while you are working on yours and first post counts.

4. Don't forget - you should always be pressing a button, whichever is appropriate for your game play during your post. Doing so boosts your success rate as well as allows the timer to kick in appropriately for your teammates and opponents.

5. The game is meant to be interactive, so read your fellow players posts before posting! Stick with the game from beginning to end, from kicking off the ground to touching back down! Have fun!

6. As you are all in the same group and color :p , it would be most helpful for me if you consider including your school in your profile and/or utilizing the buttons with your school name
.

((Ilvermony, I'll add a button when I'm home lol))

Lucas followed the others into the air, and in a bold move, darted for the quaffle as it was thrown into play. He turned and began his loop towards the goals, hoping the new keeper was nicer than Adam.

Édelie gave her fellow chasers a nod as they took to the air, attempting to grab the quaffle before it was grabbed by a boy from the other team. She shot after him, hoping to make a steal.

Aramis was feeling calm as they shot into the air, making his way to the North hoops. Ilvermorny got the quaffle first but Aramis could see Édelie was right behind him. Aramis stayed centered on the hoops as he watched the chasers, hoping Édelie was ready to play as well as she had in practice.

Hugo couldn't believe he was playing, playing! IN the actual game. He listened to Mualla, then saluted her before getting on his broom. This was his chance to prove himself. He zoomed off, immediately scanning for the snitch.

Eli took to the air and swung at the first bludger he saw. He scowled when he missed, hearing Adam's voice berating him in his head even though the keeper wasn't even nearby. He couldn't let his own teammate get to him like that.

AJ shot into the air, keeping an eye on what Eli was doing as he watched the game kick off. Deciding to try a little defense again, he moved over towards Hope, wanting to stay close.

Gaby shot into the air after Édelie, tailing the Ilvermorny chaser as he made off with the quaffle.

When the game started Hope quickly mounted her broom and flew away to search for the snitch. She had to be focused.

Mualla mounted her broomstick and was off to find a bludger to hit the moment the referee started the match.

Dominic was proud of Lucas as he shot off first and grabbed the quaffle. He followed behind his team mate closely, ready to take a pass or distract the other teams chasers if they tried to steal.

Lucas bit his lip as he flew closer, taking a deep breath as he reached the goals. He looked at the keeper as he got closer, and taking a chance, Lucas threw the ball with all his might at what he hoped could be a weak spot. He held his breath as he watched it fly. He gasped as it flew through the hoops, smiling and looking immediately to Einar.

Edelie kept close to the boy, hoping to block him. Unfortuantely, his attempt to score was successful, and she gave a small smile at Aramis as the quaffle was thrown back in. Catching the ball, she headed in the opposite direction down the pitch.

Aramis hadn't been quick enough to move as the American chaser approached. He'd seemed so unassuming that Aramis hadn't been too concerned until the quaffle was already flying through the hoop. Mouth twisting unhappily, Aramis threw the quaffle back out to Édelie.
